I liked this the best out of the ones that I just toured. It seemed like the right location, and it was within our price range. I really liked that it had both independent living and assisted living. The continuum of care was very attractive.

This was my second choice but it was a little more expensive than Prairie Hills. They use a point system so depending on what you need, they just add up all the points at the end of the month and charge you that amount. That seemed a little open-ended to me and since she's on a fixed income it wouldn't have worked.

Beautiful place and friendly staff. Pricey with separate pricing for lifeline, level of help needed, etc.

They are a very good community and we are very happy with them. What really stood out to me about Meridian Village is that the interior is very well maintained and very clean. It seemed to be much better then the comparable communities in the area. The food is very good and overall it is just a very nice community that we are happy to be a part of.

The main reason I picked this is because of its location, “Keystone” is close to where my mom wanted to stay. The staff and residents are friendly, but mom is still adapting to the change. She seems to be adjusting fine. She is using the beautician they have on the premises. I have had no problem with them and it’s a lovely facility.

This was not really the right environment that I was looking into for my loved one. There was just another community that seemed to stand out more to us for my loved one.

I liked the community except for the unit that my aunt needed. My aunt likes to walk and here there was barely any room to stand up. The place was to small. The set up was different and it just did not fit my aunt.

Mom found that one of her school friends was at this community so it made her decision to move easier. They are only allowed a toaster in their residence. She has a small kitchen with a half sink and a motel like refrigerator. They do her laundry for her and they offer a variety of activities. Mom is content with the food. This community is a converted elementary school.

I hated it. It was pretty and new, but my mom is 93 and the assisted living was really isolated. For her to participate in any activities would have been long very walk. There weren't people out and about. She would have just been in her apartment all the time. For my dad, the memory care was nothing like they advertised. They said they had a wonderful outdoor space, but it was just a sidewalk and a chair. It was tiny. When we toured, they were showing their memory care people a movie and the screen was so dark I couldn't even see it. They were just looking at a black TV screen sort of compliantly.

Front desk customer service is awful. Bag cold lunches on the weekend to cut cost is unacceptable at the cost of $[removed] per month is well above the area average, for the level of service provided... They should increase staff to consistently deliver the level of care they claim to deliver.

They do not do everything as advertised but they are better than other places in the area. Cleanliness of the facility...but they seem to be understaffed regularly and serve bag lunches often

The Staff is very friendly so make sure you're asking lots of questions about the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition into the community and into the care plan pipeline. This will make move in and the subsequent first few weeks much easier to navigate.

Areas they could improve on - Let the residents control their thermostats year-round. It was always too cold in the rooms and the dining room. The hall carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced On a positive note, the staff Was very friendly. The residents were Not.

Keystone Place was very upscale and clean. But they assured me beforehand that they would be able to handle my husband, who was known to have aggressiveness. However they evicted him about a month and a half after he was admitted because they weren't able to care for him because of his aggressiveness.

The communication between the three shifts and also between the facility and the family members could be vastly improved. It's pretty much nonexistent. I can never determine what my loved one's day has been like. I leave notes all over the wall so they can see what I would like to happen, and then it doesn't happen. He's fallen a couple of times because they're not putting him in the chucks we provided for him. And his room always smells like urine because they leave his dirty clothes there all week. He's not getting a shower regularly. There's also another resident who wanders the floor and breaks things or takes things form the rooms, so everyone has to keep their doors locked in the memory care unit. We're trying to work around these things We'll see how it goes. But there are only 2 people to care for 20 memory care residents, which is just not enough.

I would recommend you confirm all the items on your list, and make sure you are getting what you expect for care for your loved ones. The staff are good to work with. They are responsive to any questions or concerns I may have.

Our family had an in person tour and right away we decided against Seaside because we wanted a community that allowed more freedom from memory care residents, and Seaside was more or less a locked facility.
