The only issues we have with Bentley Commons is with the food. The food is usually tough and cold. There are things served that are not appropriate for older individuals due to tooth deterioration. One example is thr rack of BBQ ribs they served for dinner recently. My mother in law could not pull the bones apart. She also said she could not tear the meat off of the bone with her teeth. Many of the residents complain about the food and the fact nothing changes when they complain. My mother in law was very resistant to moving into Bentley Commons but the staff had been very welcoming and patient with her. Overall we are very happy with our loved ones care.

So far so good. An adjustment period had some bumps which I am sure is typical but [name removed] seems to be adjusting. All in all things are fine

The staff tries their best. Staffing in this field is tough. They seem to retain key people but turnover happens. Food - no comment. I never eat there. I'll say this, mom didn't lose any weight. Room size is fine. Rooms are different. Each room is actually a suite. One walks from the hall into a common room which includes a sink cupboards room for a big screen TV and two or three chairs. In addition, there are two private bedrooms that are connected to the common room There is also a shared bathroom. I think the private bedrooms are a 12x12 or 14x14. Bottom line is this when I go there again yes. The price is fair for what you get. Mom was safe and secure. She was active and well fed. I found the staff to be pleasant.

The rooms are a decent size and are kept clean by the staff, laundry is done once a week with no issues, there are 3 scheduled meals a day and entertainment. The staff is friendly, caring and make it a point to know everyone's name.

We were unhappy with how roommates are assigned. They put a gentleman that unhappy having a roommate with my dad that is very hard of hearing. He complained to us about the noise from my dad's TV. It got so bad that my dad had to be moved to another room. Food is a 4. My dad enjoys going to every meal. He has not participated in any activities yet. Staff is a 4. Very helpful.

Nursing staff and entertainment staff are great. Food is getting a bit better.

It was for me! And I have moved since. Wasn't happy with the food. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't recommend Paragon Village, but everyone there seems to be pretty happy.

My friend likes the accommodations very much. Everyone is very nice and friendly. He says the food is good Also the facility is pretty new so it's very neat and clean. He's in a split room but decided to pay for the other room to have it to himself but he is on a waiting list for a studio apt. There are activities but he keeps to himself mostly.

All the staff are very attentive to my mother and my needs. The staff at all American keep me informed of all conditions of my mother's care.

Comfortable place, friendly, caring staff. Only concern is how cold (temp-wise) the facility is. Suggestion: Would be nice to have music playing in outdoor sitting area.

Friendly. Super caring. My mom had a very difficult personality and the staff was always concerned for her well being.

It is a good facility. It needs some upgrades. There are frequent fire alarms and there was a fire this year. Everyone is nice and I think they do a good job of monitoring staff and making sure everyone is taken care of properly. The food is good tasting, but too many repeats and the menu is not always accurate so that is frustrating for my parents. They need more activities, but the activity workers are very kind and sweet.

I toured several facilities and Bentley Commons is by far the best. Unlike most of the others, you have a full apartment with separate rooms rather than one room and a bath. The facility is lovely and very comfortable atmosphere.

Cares stood out. He does refuse cares but I feel that psych should be more involved. He does not want women and they do have the male nurse give him a shower. He locks his door and stays in his room a lot and has extreme paranoia. We brought him candy bars and he hides them. To be fair other residents go into his outer room and another resident crapped on his chair that had to be thrown out and a patient was half naked in his bed. I think the Velcro straps might be used to discourage others from coming in his room. I do realize they can't help it.

4-5 on all. My Dad seems happy there. We are happy also. They are very helpful to my father for his needs & good communication with the family for any issues that arise. Yes, we would most definitely recommend this community to other families.

My mother was there for only two weeks. She fell and hit her head. It was an unwitnessed fall. She ended up in the hospital and died two weeks later. My mother cried every day she was there. She had a lot of anxiety and wanted to go home.

I would highly recommend it all American, it would be helpful to know ahead of time that in the memory care unit patient's personal hygiene needs needed to be provided by the family. Things like toilet paper, are the responsibility of the patient's family. The only reason I didn't give it a five is because the bathroom in my loved one's room was poorly, attended to and there was never any hand towels and rarely toilet paper in place.

Overall a good experience so far. Some hiccups in December with temporary help filling in for full time staff. I was told there would be choices for meals but in the memory care unit I haven't seen that

What I like the most about the community is The staff. The staff members really are very caring. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families and already have!

I would recommend. The price was right and it was a newer establishment.
