Juniper Communities

We considered this location when we were looking for options. It was nice, and they had activities. For our loved one the outdoor areas were important, and while they had them, they were smaller, and there was nothing that really had grass.

The convenience of it is good, the staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable about what they are doing.

The Devon Senior Living could improve on their communication a little bit. Just the one-to-one care could be a little better as well. Overall though, it is a good facility to be at, I rate it pretty highly.

I have lived here for 4 years and am satisfied with my care.

Overall, I think that the staff at Emeritus at Paramus has done a really good job in incorporating my loved one into the facility there and then assessing all of his needs and then meeting all of those needs.

Aside from one incident where my mother in law got a broken leg (which I don't think was their fault at all) our experience has been very good with Harbour Assisted Living. The accommodations were fantastic, the food was delicious, and the people were very friendly and helpful. They did a really nice job.

The Juniper Village at Mount Joy is very good. I would just like to see a few mores services available. I would like to see more activities and facilities. Overall, This has been a good experience. This is a nice place.

Juniper Village is a nice place, but only for those with low levels of care needs. We moved our loved one in and after her care needs advanced slightly we ended up having to hire outside help to come in and assist her. They are definitely a nice place, but be sure they are a good match for you in terms of future care needs!

Recommend this facility, care is good and facility is clean

So far its great , yeah there is a couple of things we have issues with but Overall everything is fine. A little miss-communication overall. What I can say is my mother like it there and its great there.

We loved Juniper Village and my children can't wait to go back and hope their grandmother moves there.

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for our loved one. I thought this seemed like a nice enough place. My loved one can be quite a handful but the staff here seemed experienced and professional, I'm sure he would have been safe here. The facility itself was clean and well kept, but it just didn't feel cheery on the inside.

Nice facility, can get apartment with divide wall btwn bedroom and living room. Has a kitchenette. This is more in line with what mom is asking for. a little more per month Also might need to change some doctors transportation available would take to and from dr. labs and rehab in house. A bit on the want ownership side for negative.

This place looks great - I worry that they don't have a locked memory care area

Overall our experience with Harbour Assisted Living was a good one! It's a nice looking, clean community, and the staff were all very friendly and professional. They did a good job handling my loved one's end of life care. It was a good environment, and the integrated the hospice service we had in very well.

Loved the whole facility, parents must sell their house before anything can be done

They do a pretty good job. They keep it clean, and the staff is friendly. The activities could offer a little more variety, and they could happen a little more often. Mom likes the food, that would be a five. We chose it for the overall atmosphere.

I moved my mom from another facility that was not meeting her needs. My mom moved into Memory Care here and she was loved there, which meant the world to me. While she was there, the facility lost the memory care director and there was a noticeable loss of activities and a certain amount of chaos that followed (which leads to my fewer-stars reviews above) but even WITH all that, she was loved and cared for well. My mom passed away there, and in her last days many of her caregivers came in on their OWN time to see how she was doing and to say goodbye. As with any place, you have to ask questions and follow up on things, but Emeritus was a great gift to us.

My mother has been here since Sept,2011. They will only continue with here if she goes into Memory Care We can't afford them now.

They're doing a great job. Most of the staff are really friendly. They could use a little more variety and frequency of activities, in the dementia area they don't have someone that just specifically does activities. The activities could use some help. The food has been good and the laundry is good. Overall I am happy with Emeritus, the only thing I would say is that they could use a little more specialized training for those that work with the dementia residents. The director Ann is so dedicated, and works so hard, but she is mostly just for the independent and assisted side.
