Juniper Communities

I'd give them a three for the food. The thing we have had the most frustration with, is understanding what the different care levels offer and knowing what is supposed to happen and making sure they do happen. They had a memory care unit which was a big factor in our decision, that and location.

This is a nice place, overall. It is clean, looks nice, and the staff have all been friendly. They provide a good variety of activities, and while the price is high, it seems to be competitive with others in the area.

She had been there for 6/7 years. I found it a bit chilly, the people were certainly approachable but I found it very formal as a place. I would have had to pay privately for an aide 24 hours, and that was one of the reasons that I didn't keep her there. Plus, I wanted her closer to me. I think one of the things that really annoyed me was that the director did not tell me that there was any possibility for Medicaid even after my mother had paid privately for years. I was told by someone in the healthcare industry that that was wrong, and that I could have talked to Medicaid. That seemed really unfair.

The staff here are all very friendly, and Bonnie, the contact person, in particular is fabulous. She's a really warm person, and very easy to talk to. All the staff seem caring, and willing to accommodate the needs of their residents. I feel like the food could use a bit of work, the best Dad ever has to say about it is that it is "okay". I've also heard complaints that they can seem a bit understaffed during off hours.

The staff was wonderful from the first phone call. They were very frank and honest when asked questions about their limitations. When asked for specific examples of a possible reason that would require mom to be moved once again to another facility, they were able to give me specific examples. This was very improtant and helpfull in my decision making. Mom has only been there three weeks, but her transition has been smooth so far. She is doing well there so far. Very happy with my decision.

This is a fantastic community! I was really impressed right from the start by almost everything about it. It looks great, and is very clean, the staff is wonderful, the care seems great, and they provide all sorts of activities to keep the residents busy. Also, the food is fantastic! We were very happy to find such a nice place that was also so convenient for us to get to.

Everything at this community looked great, very clean and nice looking, and the staff were very friendly during our tour. The only problem we had was that the residents and the activities were more laid-back than we were wanting. We were hoping for somewhere with very active residents since my Mom is active herself. Otherwise, everything looked perfectly fine!

Everything at this community seemed fine, no issues regarding cleanliness or staff, but nothing in particular grabbed me. We toured quite a few, and found one we liked more at a better price.

Most promising, Location could be a deal breaker

Nice. Clean. Locked door into Memory Care. Large fenced in back yard. Two choice for main dishes. Toast at seven, Breakfast at 9:30. Twice a week field trips.

We visited on 10/14 and really liked it. We have scheduled a visit and lunch with director.

She is interested. They can get lighter color carpet.

Visited the facility last Wednesday with my daughter. Got very interesting and helpful information about Assisted Living.

The staff was helpful, and I was pleased with the cleanliness of the facility.

Our family had many tours scheduled trying to locate best fit for our mother. The staff and welcoming team at Juniper Village at South Hills was a nice warm feeling touch. The facility is nice, clean, bright and vibrant full of energy. Very nice place.

I toured Juniper Village at Preston Hollow and had a good first impression & tour. I noticed that the rooms were very small and a bit rough. It looked like they took an office building and converted it into an apartment. We chose another community mainly because the rooms were not well finished here at Juniper Village.

I think that this is a good place to be and that it is safe. We started during a pandemic and they were limited with what all they could do but I do feel that they were pleasant with what they had to work with.

Non Christians will find the overt, heavy handed evangelism of certain members of the staff uncomfortable. Not limited to Sunday services, certain members of the staff waste no opportunity to "witness" and offer "testimony" regarding their evangelical Christain faith. Place is well run, clean, and the staff seems well trained, but for a place that is supposed to be secular and not affiliated with any religion. there's an awful lot of Jesus and "giving your life to Christ" here.

When I visited this community it did not seem to be very active. It was quiet when we walked in. This is a good sized community with elevators. The rooms were nice and we were well received. The staff we met during the tour were courteous and professional, however I did not get the feeling they wanted us there.
