We have been extremely happy with our choice to move my Mom to Artis of Elmhurst. What set them apart initially from other places was that their building is divided into 4 separate neighborhoods, so that the residents have a smaller group of neighbors to dine and watch TV with and it's not an overwhelmingly large group of people. What we have come to most appreciate about Artis is the friendly, respectful and caring nature of everyone who works there. All of the staff greet Mom by name every time they see her, and they get to know the residents and seem to truly enjoy working there. There are a lot of family members who visit each day, and the atmosphere is upbeat and cheerful. I highly recommend Artis Senior Living of Elmhurst!

I was thoroughly impressed with the facility in Elmhurst as well as the staff. I had a good tour and I feel this is the place for my husband to ultimately reside.

Mother fell, went to the hospital, went into rehab. After living independently in her condo for 40 years, mother agreed to try assisted living and we had 2 weeks to find something before mother was released from rehab. We hired an Elder Care Advocacy Group to guide us. There 1st choice was River Glen of St.Charles. They had the perfect unit for Mom. It reminded my sister and I of a smaller version of her condo. Mother is very happy here. She was very afraid of being alone after falling and now says: "I feel safe, well cared for, the staff is very friendly, the people who live here are friendly and nice, it is very clean." My sister and I agree with all these statements and appreciate that outside providers now come to her as opposed to us having to take her to doctor's appointments. She has been at River Glen for 2 months and talks less and less about her condo and more and more about River Glen.

The facility is a dream come true. My father moved in here in March and is very content here. The staff is super. They are caring, knowledgeable, respectful, honest,friendly and much more...If I have a question about any concern, someone is always there to answer it.

This is a wonderful place for my 95 year old father. All the staff is so caring. It is beautiful inside. If there is any type of concern, they handle it quickly. They are very understanding. The food served is also very good and nutritional. The outside is very pleasant also with beautiful woods surrounding the building. I am very pleased with our decision to move my father here.

When we were looking for a home for our 94 year old step mom, we analyzed and visited numerous facilities in the suburban Chicago area. River Glen looked to be far and away the best facility. Once our mom moved in, our judgement was confirmed and our expectations were exceeded. River Glen was excellent in all respects. Great food, ambience and activities. Spotlessly clean facility that feels more like a resort hotel than assisted living. The staff is excellent and appears to have low turnover rate, which, along with excellent management, are, in my opinion, key to an superior facility. Some of our needs were probably beyond what is typical, but they were accommodated with a smile. Sonoma House has both assisted and memory care. I moved my father there and the staff were very one on one and friendly. They worked hard at making it personalized for your loved ones needs. Was happy with the environment and care.

So far, so good! My experience with anything, however, is that service usually changes over time.( She's been there almost 2 months.) Having said that, right now Artis Memory Care of Bartlett is great. My mom is doing well. It's great to have her closer to me. The place is clean. Don't smell that uriney, old people smell that makes places horrible and scary. The staff is kind and attentive. I just hope it stays that way.

Our mother moved into River Glen little over one year ago; and on behalf of her and all our family, we are grateful to the entire staff at River Glen for their care- and the little things they do to make life easier for all residents. Mom celebrated her 100th birthday at River Glen this past October and the surprise “100 Balloon” release, cake and refreshments that all residents were invited to celebrate was beyond expectation. The River Glen managment staff came together and planned her wonderful surprise celebration. If that wasn’t enough they added to that by ordering an American flag flown over the White House in honor of her milestone birthday… and then had another party the following month when her flag arrived. Another celebration with a beautiful American Flag cake and more refreshments for all residents. This time with the extra special treat of having her flag presented to her by St Charles Mayor Raymond Rogina, and accompanied by letters of congratulations from President Trump and Senator Durbin. Mom’s milestone event was also featured in the Kane County Chronicle accompanied by a wonderful article by reporter Eric Schelkopf. I visit our mom regularly, and have come to know many of the caregivers, and see first-hand the joyful, selfless day to day attention by each and every staff member for all residents; we could not have found a better place for mom to live. Thank you all River Glen staff and management, and may God continue to bless everyone there for the wonderful family environment you have created for your residents. Sunset Park has been a blessing for my mom. The staff is caring, compassionate and attentive to my mom’s needs. The activities are engaging. It is clean and decorated so it ‘feels like home’.

Food is good.

Service and the freedom you have. Exercise/music is great.

Staff and management are fantastic! They were very knowledgeable. They are well educated in dealing with memory care and are kind. Their facility is clean and well-maintained. The best part is they care for their residence from assisted-living all the way to their last day is on hospice and beyond. Highly impressed!

When I toured of this community and found it to be exactly what we are looking for, for my father. That activities were inviting, food was delicious and staff outstanding. As soon as there is an opening country Meadow Place will be his new home.
