Robinwood Landing was wonderful. My dad was only there for a little less than a month before he died, and they were welcoming/attentive/ checked on him often, and I always felt his needs were met. And for the price being all inclusive and not based on his needs, it was well worth it.

We picked this community, because of the price of the atmosphere, it's very bright, friendly people and clean. It's a great place for your loved one. I would recommend it, and I have.

I would definitely recommend Artis. It is very expensive though and going up and it private pay. Their communications are lacking in giving updates on the resident, but great when I contact them. The director when my loved one moved in has left and I don't think he's been replaced. They are supposed to send an activities calendar, but that doesn't happen often. I do want to say that my experience with A Place for Mom provided excellent service when we were selecting a facility. The gentleman,[name removed] was excellent to work with at APFM.

I was at Arlington Place of Red Oak for a short stay. In that amount of time, everything at this facility seemed fine in every aspect! I think that everything was great. I would recommend this facility to others.

I would not place my Dad in a place where he didn't feel comfortable. He has been doing great since coming there. Interaction with staff has been wonderful.

We found that the staff are all very friendly at this facility. They answered all of our questions. What we liked best about this facility is that it felt like "Home". I'm sure other facilities would also do a good job of taking care of my loved one, but this one did not have an "Institutional" feel. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Mom enjoyed living there. She also liked the activities that you had. It was good that you had nursing staff there 24/7. Mom also liked going on the outings, she would tell me how nice it was to be away from the building and get to see other things.

We toured Arlington Place at Oelwein and it was great! The cleanliness, friendliness, staff everything was great. The only reason we did not select this facility was due to location.

Always respectful, Willing to listen, Timely responses. Family/friends noted friendliness/noticed when someone new comes who they were there to see. Always helpful. So please we found Waters Edge with your help!! Highly recommend, a good place to be.

I toured this facility and it was a very nice place! It's in a great location and they offer lots of activities.

My mother lived at Artis Senior Living for a little over a year and a half. While there she received excellent care. The facility is small so they know everyone by name. It is clean, bright facility with single rooms for each resident. They have a wonderful program of activities as well as events for family participation. We enjoyed many Sunday picnics with mom and the Artis family of caregivers. These outdoor events in their garden area were well planned and gave us the opportunity to interact with other families and residents. My mother really enjoyed living at Artis and I always knew she was safe and happy there. Mom recently passed and it was a great relief to me that she could stay there while in hospice care. Gentiva Hospice worked with Artis caregivers to provide mom with a quality end of life care. I can not say enough about how positive my experience was with both Artis and Gentiva. I am so grateful to have had all of your help, guidance and care for my mother.

What stood out to us about this facility is they had all the services we were looking for and close proximity as well for family. Staff are always super friendly and helpful interacting with family members as well as dad. They have activities all day long and many residents participate. They had a mechanism for additional funded physical therapy which really helped my dad get back to independent mobility. Good housekeeping service that didn't complain even when my dad had a major accident in bathroom. In house maintenance that was helpful in hanging persons items in room. I would highly recommend this facility to others.

The staff are wonderful people that took great care of my father that was diagnosed with brain cancer one month earlier. The staff on hand were so caring and helpful with any thing that needed to be done to make father more comfortable the last month of his life. We really appreciated everything they did for us both.

We had a very good tour experience at Garnett Place. I found the facility itself to be nice and all of the staff and residents were welcoming. When we were looking initially, it was for both of my parents. My mom did not need any care but my dad needed quite a bit. We ended up changing our focus to just my dad, so therefore the facility types changed which is ultimately why we did not choose this facility.

Our family had an in-person tour and we give the tour and the facility a 5-star experience, it was great but the price was just out of range for our family.

The initial meeting was great. Nice tour with a lot of useful information. [name removed] answered all our questions and some we didn't even think to ask. We spent almost 2 hours talking with him. Really eased our minds. We have really enjoyed visiting mom. The staff are all so friendly, it is always the same people. We go during the day and it is always the same 3 nurses and they are outstanding. They are great with communication and always let us know what is going on and are responsive to her needs. The pay is all inclusive, it increases as the care increases. The layout is great and easy to navigate. I would absolutely recommend them, I think it is one of the best in the area.

My loved one seems to be happy. They call if there is any issues. My loved one is eating well, is more relaxed, and seems comfortable. They are taking good care of my loved one. They were not happy at the previous facility. We picked this community, because it's a smaller community, it was close, and the staff is very aware of the situation. The residents are friendly.

Waters Edge is a wonderful community for your loved one! It is a beautiful facility with large open dining and common areas, with very nice bedrooms for the residents. All the staff are very friendly and caring, with an emphasis in getting to know each resident and their family personally. I would definitely recommend this community for your loved one!

Overall I think it is a really great place and I would absolutely recommend them. The biggest complaint is the food, she does not like it at all. The vegetables are hard and it makes it tough to chew. Same thing with most of the meat. The deserts maybe only a quarter of the time are good. The food is something that definitely needs improvements.
