DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONES LIVE HERE!!!! THE ONE thing you expect from assisted living is that your grandmother/parent will get their medicines at the correct dose. After my uncle leaving 3 messages for the nurse staff to explain why they STOPPED giving my Grandmother her required Coumadin for a WEEK. STILL no reply at all after three weeks of additional expenses and Now a hematoma. Their management, processes and procedures NEED to be changed. Dont be fooled by the swanky decor the quality is only a facade to cover up the many issues. This does speak to the willingness of management to make right and hopefully keep this incident from happing in the future with any other member of the community. [date removed] Update: After my grandmother spent weeks in a hospital and then a rehab facility the management has decided to change their story and take back accountability for them missing A WHOLE WEEKS worth of medication. My grandmother still (months later) has a HUGE hematoma due to them not giving her her medication. This could have been fetal!!!! PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONES LIVE HERE!!!!!!!

Superb care promised. Grossly misrepresented! Terrible experience. We had to move again after 3 weeks. Zero stars.

The corporate management doesn't care about the residents. They are unbelievably rude. Beautiful facilities, but there is lack of compassion. There are great staff members, but since they are paid liw wages and are treated disrespectful by corporate....there is a high turnover. Not only do I want my family member taken well care of, but for the high price it costs to live here, it should be demanded! What a disappointment.

Your first hand experiences really help others. Thanks! Please be very careful and take note of how your loved ones are being "managed " at Watercrest. I discovered many instances where medications were incorrectly dosed, delivered and ordered. My parent was given a med that they were allergic to which resulted in a hospitalization due to an adverse reaction. This did not happen once , but seemed to be a pattern of medication mishaps that continued during their two year stay there. In addition the registered nurse on staff , while friendly and social , is not the sharpest tool in the box. I challenged her on many med errors and ridiculous conclusions that she drew regarding my parent's health. In addition to having to request services over and over and not having phone calls returned , I have photos of bruises that were on my parent's body. These were discovered during an doctor's visit and the physician told me it was imperative that we move my parent from that facility as soon as possible. Also, the staff would greet me with complaints about my parent each and every time I visited. My parent was too demanding, my parent was wearing them out, my parent was a pain etc etc. It is not hard for me to believe that my parent was struck by a caregiver based on the negative feedback I was bombarded with. Watercrest is beautiful. Don't let that fool you. They are understaffed, especially at night. Wherever you place your parent , review med orders. Check out the food, the CMA's and the availability of management .

I saw the facility last fall and put down a $1000 deposit for and apartment starting in December. The apartment was not ready at that time and I have requested a return of the deposit several times to no avail.

My mother has been at The Landing at Stone Oak for 14 months and, in the beginning, it appeared the staff was very caring and committed to providing quality care. The food, however, has always been substandard -- high in starch and processed meats. With changes in leadership several months ago, the care began a steep decline. The only time my mother gets a shower is when my sister gives it. We set up a video recorder with audio and found that no evening medications were given on at least two occasions. With the exception of going out for meals, my mother spends all of her time in her room without interaction -- without being invited to activities or receiving the snacks that are supposed to be provided. I could go on and on, but you get the picture. Today, we put down a deposit and are moving her to another facility.

My mother has lived at all three of the Watercrest facilities in Mansfield. She started out in the independent and then moved to the Assisted and now memory care facility. As we moved the care got progressively worse. Being as expensive as it is, you would expect more for your money. Both the manager and the Director of Nursing only respond occasionally to your emails and needs. I have seen [removed] in my mothers care and others living at the facility. This place needs to be investigated by someone. I am trying to get ahold of someone to do so. Please dont move your loved one here. Don't just look at the aesthetics , being pretty doesn't mean anything care is what is important. These managers will not listen to you or help you at all.This place is run on favoritism not professionalism.
