My 84 year old mother just moved into Watercrest at Shadow Creek Ranch about 2 months ago after living alone in her 3 bedroom house as a widow for over 40 years in Valdosta, GA. My mother was still driving and on a weekly bowling league and doing her own grocery shopping and most of her own yard work. Even though she was in terrific health, we felt like the time was nearing when she would need us to help her more frequently than he were able. Two of my sisters and I live in Cypress, Fulshear and Clear Lake, while one lives in Florida. It seemed logical to us to begin searching for places in the Houston area. After making numerous visits to senior living places, we were getting pretty discouraged!!!!!! There just wasn't even one that we would consider......... UNTIL I stumbled onto Watercrest in Pearland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was LOVE at first sight!!! The facility is 2 years old and looks like an UPSCALE apartment complex!!!!! Brittany was incredible at answering each and every question that I had and gave me a personal tour!! I even reached out to my youngest sister to meet me there for more questions and a second tour with Brittany just to make sure that this was not a mirage!!!! We even asked if we could eat from the lunch menu to get a feel for the food........ IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!! EVERYONE there is soooooooooo very nice and polite to one another- residents and staff alike!!!!! When we showed the pictures to my mother, she agreed that the place would be perfect and with tears she agreed that we needed to put her house up for sale and move her to Watercrest. She has LOVED all of the activities they offer!!! In her very short 2 months, she is in a line dance group and they performed for the residents once. She enjoys the workout room which has MARVELOUS equipment!!!!! She is in a Choir and has enjoyed several movies. Just recently, she and one other resident signed up for a bowling league and she is in Heaven!!!!!! I normally try to visit once a week to help Mom and she always insists that I stay and eat lunch with her!! (She doesn't have to push too hard!!!!!!) I have LOVED everything they have made!!!!! Some residents are into gardening or arts and crafts or card games or Bingo........ THERE IS NOOOOO SHORTAGE OF ACTIVITIES! Today my mother said that she was going to listen to a chiropractor who was going to come speak this afternoon to the residents. One of my mother's favorite activities is "Happy Hour"!! It is literally ONE HOUR!!! From 4:00 until 5:00 every Friday they serve wine to residents who want to participate, and they normally have live entertainment that is really good!!!! My Mother's apartment is gorgeous!!! She has a HUGE walk-in closet, a walk-in shower, a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and large living and dining spaces. At 84 years old, this is the first time she has ever had a dishwasher!!!! I have to admit, it remains untouched since she has arrived. She doesn't feel the need to figure that out!! :-) She has a lovely patio overlooking the garden area. We feel like this environment is much safer for her and the community itself is gated. She still has complete freedom in life choices. I honestly LOVE seeing her so engaged and making so many friends!!!! Her quality of life has improved so very much and I cannot thank the staff at Watercrest for providing this incredible HOME for my mother!!! Special thanks to Brittany for patiently and pleasantly answering a million questions from us!! This may sound too good to be true...... But, trust me!!! Watercrest is an amazing place!!!!!

They really care. Love the staff, EVeryone is friendly and looking out for my mom and dad. The few issues we've had have been resolved quickly. The activities meet a wide range of interests and abilities. Come in and say "hi" to [name removed] or [name removed] at the front. They will take care of you.

We plan to be in touch first thing in the morning to make our commitment to move into their available Villa unit. This site fits our needs better than the Sugarland campus, both in availability and location. We were very impressed with Althea’s knowledge which was offered freely without us having to question her. We are looking forward to making this necessary move, just wish that chore was already behind us.

This is a three story facility that was very nice. There is a 1 bedroom available on the first floor that I think would be perfect. Still would like to see something closer to Yukon where her son lives. But might go ahead and make a deposit on this for now.

Very nice facility. Warm and inviting. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. The residents seemed happy, also. I like their range of activities. The staff seemed very dedicated.

The staff is great very nice. Dominoes, card games, magazine rack. Field trips like to the library are nice. Live music is fun too

Everyone was so friendly and very helpful when we first arrived. [Name removed] seating us in the beautiful dining room and took our order. I had pesto chicken, very good and [name removed] had a caesar salad, very good. So many different choices of foods to choose. We were meet by [name removed] and she went over different layouts of rooms. Then took us on a tour. So many different activities to so many nice people that live there. Would be a great fit for my brother or any senior. We need to look and see if it is something that he can handle financially. His daughter is on her honeymoon, will be back in a week and we will go over everything.

My husband and I toured Watercrest at Shadow Creek on [date removed]. We enjoyed our meeting with [name removed]. She was very welcoming and provided us with a lot of information and a tour. The community is beautiful and very well maintained. They provide a number of floor plans to choose from to suit your needs. There are also lots of activities for Mom to enjoy. I would highly recommend others to tour the community - you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful facility, great amenities, good location. Mom needs more care than even their "assisted living plus" so unfortunately not a good choice for her.

Everyone I have dealt with at WaterCrest from day one has been very helpful. Everyone is real nice and very friendly. They all have been a real blessing.

Great staff. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Clean environment. Many activities for residents. Residents seem to be happy to be here. Residents are well taken are of. Residents are always clean.

This is a first class Assisted and Memory Care community. The grounds and building are incredibly clean. The staff is as good as they come, always meeting the needs of the residents. Plenty of activities for everyone.

Excellent place. My mom was hesitant about moving and once she was there she immediately started loving the place.

We just did a tour and it was amazing! Hoping to talk Grandma into going here.

Community was tope notch, brand new, nicely decorated, spacious rooms and the flexibilty of customizing and adding services was exceptional. Currently, no waiting list. Independent living was the least expensive here for a 2 bed/2 bath. Plus they have a heated indoor pool.

My mother was a resident at The Landing. Due to her advanced stage of dimentia we could no longer take care of her at home, so we checked around at different homes in San Antonio and decided on The Landing. The staff was efficient, kind ,and caring. I was amazed at the care my mother had at this facility. The place was clean and my mother was well taken care of. Unfortunately my mother who was 101 years old passed away there. The staff would check on her during her last days every 20 minutes to make sure she was doing well and resting comfortably. There is no other place I would have wanted my mother to be, I would rate this facility as excellent!

Visited today, [date removed]. Quite impressed. [Name removed] is a good saleswomen and knows all about the place. I'm still looking, but this place is at the tops!
