In looking to get my grandmother placed into assisted living, I was given information regarding Colonial Courtyard. In speaking with the Community Leasing Director, I felt at peace and believed this was the best place for my grandmother. The CLD answered all my questions and got back to my family in relatively short order. They have lots of different activities and events for their residents. The facilities seem to be top notch and the staff and residents have been very outgoing so far. I truly believe my family and I made the right decision by utilizing Colonial Courtyard.

Our experience at Colonial has been entirely positive. My parents were in an assisted living apartment for a year before my dad passed, and the staff were so helpful during that time as my mom transitioned to memory care. I live 500 miles away and am grateful to the staff for the communication (with me) and the care they provide for mom.

From my first interaction with the staff ([name removed]) by phone through the entire admissions process, we felt so good about our decision to move mom and dad to The Residence. Our parents needed two different levels of care and were coming to The Residence from out of state. Since their arrival, they have been made to feel like part of a family and we are so grateful to all of the staff. From the direct care providers, to the maintenance staff to the dining hall director, every staff member expresses care and compassion not only for our loved ones but for all the residents. We have enjoyed stopping by for regular visits and take part in many of their special events and activities. We always feel welcomed and staff are great at communicating any updates on our folks. Mom and dad are so well cared for and have such kind people watching over them. We are so thankful to have found a place for them at The Residence at Presque Isle Bay.

When it comes to the care services, I didn't feel they kept me in the loop with medication changes. For the activities I never saw or heard her talk about doing activities. But that may have been her mental state at that time. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families. They were much better than where she was prior to that, that was [community name removed]. [community name removed]. went downhill from when she initially moved in. I thought Colonial Courtyard provided excellent care for my mother.

Best choice we could have made; would recommend to others

They are very quick with communicating any timely issues like medicine, illness and injury. Everyone I encounter seems to know my dad by name and they have gotten to know him too, which is a comfort. Maintenance is quick to reply to resident needs.

The Pines of Mount Lebanon is one of the friendliest, most caring communities I have been in. Everyone from the EOO on down care about the residents and the residents know the staff well. Very homey feeling the moment you walk in!

Everybody is very nice. The nurses know the residents well. [name removed] & [name removed]are great. I feel secure knowing they're looking after my parents. [name removed]is nice. [name removed]& [name removed] were very accommodating during move-in. No complaints.

My loved one was previously a resident at Queenstown Landing and the facility was spotless. The staff was friendly and they were very accommodating. They tried to make all of the activities special, especially on holidays. I would highly recommend Queenstown Landing to others.

I would and have recommended them to other families. If I had a question or my dad needed something done, it was handled immediately. Advice to other families? Visit as often as possible. Be involved with the residents care. They had my dad ready for appointments and we picked him up and took him. When we returned, they came out and talked to him, hugged him and walked him back to his room. They have wonderful programs to keep the residents active and their minds busy. On [date removed] my dad passed away. He was a quick turn. Hospice came to the facility and the staff at Colonial was there checking in every hour. I was with my dad when he passed. I have no regrets with his care and the facility. They are amazing...I was no longer my father's care giver, I was his daughter again and we enjoyed many hours together.

It is a wonderful place to have your loved one placed, the staff is attentive and friendly. I would just recommend they bring their love ones meals a couple times a week to change it up for them. My father's mother was in the same place years ago and they took great care of her. I liked how clean it was. Mostly I was impressed by the nursing staff who were quick to notify me of any medical issues and very patient and willing to discuss any questions or concerns I had.

Chestnut Ridge was just the place we needed for a two week respite care for my Mom. We were so grateful for the two week respite because most facilities require 30 day stays. Everyone there was friendly, caring and supportive of my mom’s needs. Mom loved the food and enjoyed going to the dining room to eat her delicious meals daily. Someone was always around to make sure she went for her meals. The place was very clean and mom’s room had a nice kitchenette and a beautiful view of the woods. There were also many daily activities to choose from although Mom chose not to participate. I could not say enough good things about this place. From my initial contact to the front desk person, everyone made her stay a very pleasant one. Everyone went above and beyond to make my mom’s stay an enjoyable one! I would definitely recommend Chestnut Ridge.

The setting is beautiful. My dad loves the horse farm that is adjacent to the community. The staff has been very helpful and friendly too. The community just gives off a warm and comfy feeling when you walk in the door. My dad is very happy there and that is all we can ask for!

The staff at The Residence at Presque was wonderful with my sister getting admitted in a hurry. [Names removed] worked to get her in basically in a few days time. The move in process was also great. Furniture is provided, so you only needed to bring a few extra pieces and clothing and personal items. Everyone there is extremely friendly and the place is always very very clean. I haven't eaten there myself, but my sister seems to be very happy with the food. Plenty to eat, I'm sure. Her laundry is done for her and we have had no problems with that. Her room is kept clean. I would definitely recommend The Residence at Presque Isle Bay to anyone thinking about having to put a loved one into an assisted living facility. This has been a huge relief for me to know that my sister is not home alone and that she is being taken care of and is taking all of her medicines correctly.

Magnolias felt like we were walking into my mom's HOME again! The atmosphere here is cozy, decorative, busy with activities and filled with caring staff that will treat your family member with compassion, dignity, love and patience. More events are being planned now which give residents the opportunity to host their family members for special occasion meals and activities. My mom began to thrive one month after her move into Magnolia's. She spent 8 months there and received hospice care at the end of her life which was tailored to her daily changing needs. The community here at Magnolias wants the best for their residents. Families and children are welcome anytime. There is no denying how difficult these decisions are for caregivers. Take a tour. Ask questions. See it for yourself.

The decision to find an assisted living facility for my Grandfather was a hard one. We had no clue where to even start but we knew it had to be a place that was special and would treat him well. After touring several facilities in the area we knew that the Residence Inn was the right place. From the moment we walked in the door we were treated with respect and compassion for the hard decision we had to make. [name removed] met with us and provided us with useful information. She took her time answering all of our questions and made us feel comfortable about placing him in a new environment. She made the admission process a breeze. We moved my Grandfather in with ease and he has been treated well. The staff has been consistent (no turnover) and they all knew his name and made him feel welcome. He has been at the Residence Inn for a month and is still treated with care and respect just like on his first day here. We are happy with our decision and my Grandfather has settled in nicely.

Colonial Courtyard is amazing and I would recommend to anyone looking for a place for your loved one if you can no longer care for them. My mother was very hesitant on moving in at first a few months ago but ever since she has been having a lot of fun with everyone there. The activities and food are tailored to her perfectly. She had not had a single complaint of anything. The staff is great at keeping us family informed on changes and even what activities she attends. I like that I am able to see photos from every event, game or party on their Facebook page. I recently visited for a game of swatter ball where it was kind of like a game of volleyball but with hand swatters- it was so much fun and I heard the laughter filling the hallways even to the front door. I’m so happy that my mother is out and about having fun and making friends instead of sitting in her home worried about how to take care of herself. The nursing staff if very knowledgeable as well, they always have a explanation

Everything about here is inviting! You are welcomed as if you are family. It’s a beautiful, well decorated “home”, very clean and the food smells amazing! I love spending time visiting amongst all the residents and joining them for their events- they are always great fun!

My friend has recently moved into Newhaven and I feel I got my friend back. She had been living at home, had become introverted, distant, quiet. We brought her to Newhaven and after a few weeks she is the friend I remember. The staff has done an amazing job at engaging her, she has made friends, she comes out of her room, and smiles. Every single person you meet at Newhaven is always smiling, ready to help and assist. Best decision we ever made

The moment we were greeted in the lobby we knew this was the perfect place for our parents. The entire staff is amazing! They are so warm, caring and attentive to the residents and their families. There are plenty of activities. The place is beautifully decorated. And our family has peace of mind knowing that they are being well taken care of.
