WARNING TO FAMILIES CONSIDERING ROSE HILL IN ROBBINSVILLE, NJ Please think twice before placing your loved one with Alzheimer’s at Rose Hill. My mother was there for less than a month. During that time, she was sent to Crisis twice and hospitalized for 9 days. These weren’t random incidents—they were behaviors associated with the progression of her Alzheimer’s. We chose memory care because we believed the staff would know how to handle those challenges. Instead, we felt they simply sent her away when things became difficult. The administration left us feeling cold, unsupported, and devastated during an already heartbreaking time. Memory care should mean caring for someone through the difficult stages of dementia—not sending them elsewhere when those stages become challenging. Do your research. Ask the hard questions. Based on our experience, I would strongly urge families to consider all their options before choosing Rose Hill. Your loved one deserves better.

The director who got us in was kind. There was 2 cnas that were helpful we had a very bad experience with the rest one nurse actually told me in front of my mom we didn't belong there. She was rude and hateful. I honestly wanted to drag her outside and chew her out. This was when my mom was actively dying! I will never forget this! Never brought her food I had to ask for it. Would never change her I had to ask for that also. Just horrible people that worked there

Our experience was very mixed. Some of the staff were friendly and caring, and the facility itself was clean with good-sized rooms. The activities were also a positive part of our experience. However, we had serious concerns about the quality of care. There did not seem to be enough staff, and we felt that our mom’s medical needs were not adequately addressed. Communication was poor, and important changes in her condition were not communicated appropriately. Unfortunately, this contributed to her developing sepsis, which was extremely distressing for our family. We were also disappointed with the food, which did not seem healthy or appropriate for her needs. Medications were not always given or prescribed in a timely manner, which added to our concerns about her care. Most importantly, we did not feel that our family was treated with the respect and communication we deserved. While there were some positive aspects, the concerns about staffing, medical care, communication, medications, and nutrition were very serious and significantly affected our overall experience.

The staff were extremely disappointing, especially when it came to finding someone available to help. A loved one was frequently left wet, and there were ongoing concerns about cleanliness and the smell in the room. There were also repeated issues with belongings being mixed up between roommates, even when items were clearly labeled. Communication and attention to individual needs seemed inconsistent. I was particularly concerned about how some health and dietary needs were handled. There were situations where it appeared that important health concerns were not being taken as seriously as they should have been. The nursing station was often unattended, or staff appeared to be gathered together talking rather than checking on residents. That was frustrating and concerning as a family member. To be fair, there were a few nurses who genuinely seemed to care and went out of their way to help. Unfortunately, they seemed to be the exception rather than the rule. Overall, the experience was very disappointing. The biggest issue was the lack of consistent attention, communication, and follow-through. Families should feel confident that their loved one is being checked on, cared for, and treated with dignity, and that was not consistently our experience.

I wrote an initial review and I sent pictures through yelp that you can look at where my husband had fallen and they chalked it up to falling on a resident, but clearly the pictures that you can see had severe bruising, and Hospice was not notified from Saturday when this happened until Thursday when I saw the extent of the bruising from his mid buttocks, all the way down his right leg and Hospice came in and assessed him and thank goodness he was OK but he had to have been in severe pain when this happened. You need to look at yelp for pictures. The food was terrible. There weren't barely ever Snacks offered to the patients, and there was no water in the rooms, I mean ever I complained on numerous occasions about that and they said that my husband had plenty during his feeding times my husband had somebody's walker and a new employee took it from him and he choked her, unlike my husband because he's very quiet and caring and non-abusive, but with lewis body dementia, tbc

My Mother passed while she was there. The nursing staff had a nurse that I was pleased with but other than that I would give Dover Place a very low 1. All they seemed to care about was $$.Her monthly bills were increasing and after a fall and broken hip she was out for a month which was because they would not allow in room therapy after her hip replacement. After complaining about having to pay over [Amount Removed] for the 28 days she was in rehab they refunded about [Amount Removed]. I under stand they fired the administrator and a few others so I would hope they rehired some better qualified people. I would NEVER recommend Dover place to anyone.

Please go elsewhere. Inspirit living is not a compassionate company. They care about money only and their staff is not paid well. The food is terrible and many folks are left unattended. They promise you the moon but don’t fulfill their promises. The care staff is kind and caring. The manager and staff could care less about the residents.

I did not feel safe, or that privacy was maintained around the maintenance manager and found some interactions unprofessional. I have raised concerns multiple times with both managers and it’s been dismissed. This raised concerns about the general manager’s hiring and supervision decisions. She seems unfit for the job.

The head people here don’t care bout their residents they only care about the money and they treat they’re people bad and don’t pay them much at all I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone for anyone

The place is falling apart. They don’t have a steam table so they can’t serve hot meals to the entire population. They don’t have glasses, cutlery, or silverware. They don’t have bowls. The ceiling above my bathtub collapsed, leaving a gaping hole. It had been repaired a couple of weeks earlier, but they purposely chose the wrong grade pipe to try to save some money. The place is going under the staff. Doesn’t give a damn for any of the people who live there don’t let anyone you know move into that place. It’s horrible.

The place is unorganized and a disaster. Overall some of the staff is friendly but the place is ran incorrectly and the patients are not monitored at all. If you live your loved one do not send here. It is not good for anyone who needs 24 hour care. The price is low for a reason. Everything sounds and looks good and it’s a hot mess.

.Disappointing Leadership at Cedar Woods Independent Living My experience at Cedar Woods Independent Living has been deeply disappointing, primarily due to concerns about the leadership and overall professionalism within the community. The individual in charge plays a critical role in shaping the facility’s culture and day-to-day atmosphere, yet she appears ill-equipped for a position of such responsibility. Her communication style lacks both professionalism and empathy—essential qualities in any senior care environment. She frequently speaks down to residents and staff alike, and often responds to concerns with visible irritation rather than thoughtful engagement. It is also concerning that she is rarely present on-site and is known to leave early on a regular basis. This absence contributes to a sense of disorganization and lack of accountability. Furthermore, her overall demeanor and appearance do not reflect the standards expected in a senior living community, setting a poor exampl

horrible place to put your family. Management doesn't care about the elderly. Very sneaky. Very illegal. Minimum staffing with agency people that do not know each individual person and their needs. The quality of food is inferior management doesn't care if residents eat or are starving. The place needs to be shut down.

I would give them all a 1....even a 0 on value for the money.....would never recommend it!! They are there for the money!

My loved one is in memory care. 3 rooms are infested with bedbugs. Don’t put your loved one in here. One nurse for 3 halls. Activities is a joke. Food is horrible. She was served plain spaghetti noodles, mushy spinach and cornbread for dinner. When I asked why they said they were out of money.

The only good thing about The Willows was the move-in. Notes in the bathroom, told people not to throw diapers in the basket, but left no instructions where to put diapers. The sales staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The administrator never met the resident, even after being encouraged to do so by me who was the residence advocate. the quality of care was abominable. The head of nursing made multiple promises and did not keep them. The meds were screwed up continually. They committed to helping with showers and never kept the scheduled time. The activities existed on a board, but basically never really happened. The person that was responsible for doing the activities was also the driver that was taking people to doctors and appointments and the weekly runs to Walmart and restaurants. Movies were listed and never shown. Crafts were listed and no one was ever in the room. With regard to friendliness, the residence were basically very unhappy. Many of them just sat in the public spaces, falling asleep. A small number would speak to you when you walk by, but mostly they behaved in a catatonic way we should've been aware that something was wrong when we saw that. The food was acceptable, but certainly could've been better. The dining room had one excellent waitress who really seemed to care about the resident needed some services and during the initial visit, they were determined. When asked what we were going to be paying for them it was totally unclear. They said they were going to provide three services that would help the resident be eligible for her long-term care. And they did provide on occasion some of those services. The plan of care was written, which included them, but when the billing came, it didn't charge for them. The managing nurse seem to think that the resident did not need long-term care and so she just didn't provide it. But when the long-term care nurse came to assess the resident, she met all the markers for long-term care. I contacted the administrator to please Rebill for services rendered, she pushed me off to the accounting department who made excuses that he was new and he didn't know anything about it. I asked to have a meeting with the administrator and she scheduled the meeting, but never showed up. That was the second time that it happened to me when I had a meeting scheduled with her. The Willows would not be a place that I would send even my hated mother-in-law if I had such a thing. They were incompetent beyond belief With all sorts of promises and no delivery. I even contacted their national headquarters who acted as if they cared, but really put it back in the administrators lap. They just didn't give a damn. in the meantime the patient had to pay out of her own pocket for what could have been paid by her long-term care policy who were extremely cooperative and would've done anything to help Make that happen.

My mother's care plan went from $[removed] to [price removed] after questioning why the two hour nightly check were being dong. [name removed] at the adiministartion of the Gardens of Liberty Village refused to provide doucments via email and would only provide some paperword in an in person meeting from an assessment that was supposedly performed by an employee that started in at the Gardens in [date removed] and was gone by out meeting in [date removed] around the same time that the hourly checks were being questioned. When asked for detailed documentation, the administrator, [name removed], refused documentation and only offered a verbal meeting during her hours Monday through Friday 8 Am - 5 PM ET.

Just the way the facility is designed is odd. Individual buildings for each group of people, with no centralized dining room that I saw. Food brought in from another building. My dad said there was limited staff in his area (Magnolia). I was not impressed AT ALL with the facility. The facility itself is located in a weird place, kind of remote even though it's in Memphis. What I was being charged for and what his room looked like was unacceptable. The caretakers and nurses were nice and friendly and I do believe helpful for the most part, and since I live out of state and not near Memphis, I received a lot of help from the marketing director with getting my dad over there from a skilled nursing facility. She was invaluable. But upper administration, not at all. Specifically the executive director and the business manager. Horrible communication and resolution of billing and other issues.
