When I have visited my mom there, the odor down the hallway to her room is extremely offensive. It is clearly coming from one of the residents apartments. My mom says the food is very hit or miss. Sometimes they have not had enough for people who come down late. Her apartment cleaning schedule was very inconsistent for a while, but I think they have gotten on track with once a week. Another thing that would be very helpful is to have more shuttle options. She has had a very hard time getting rides to spots. There is a regular trip to Fred Meyer once a week but getting the driver to take her anywhere else seems challenging.

One thing I would say is that they need to decide whether they are an independent living facility or an assisted care facility. They don't seem to want the responsibility of being an assisted care facility, but there isn't a lot of independence either. They don't provide a dish washing machine. She has to share a community clothes washer with the entire floor, which they can only use at certain times. They don't allow her to have any kind of stove or crock pots. They told her she could have flowers on her porch and use the spigot on the outside of her building, and then removed the spigot. She bought[Amount Removed] worth of flowers and supplies and now she is losing them because she can't water them. For the money she is paying, I could find her a regular house to rent and a maid once a week to help with cleaning, and have money leftover. She would save money and have actual independence. I am currently looking for a rental closer to us so I can look in on her better. I'm not impressed at all with the place she is in for the money she is paying. It was a good transition place to move her into my area, at least. That's about the best I can say for it.

They change management alot and they have a different cook every other week. Residents don't care much for the food now. They lack activities. Before the new activities director came they said they were always busy with projects but not anymore. My son's mother-in- law is there now. Her daughter had depends delivered to the front desk. She did not get to the office before they closed to get them and I happened to be there visiting my cousin and had to take her to the store to get some. They only seem to care whether or not the payments keep coming in. They do not go out of their way for the residents.

They have almost no activities and don't ever go anywhere. Mom is just as alone there as she was at home. Very expensive for essentially what she got at home with the exception of the meals being included.

The food is marginal and wait is excessive. Staff has been fine...apartment size is adequate. I just have concerns about food quality, balanced nutrition and process in dining hall very time consuming. Other concern is very limited opportunity to do laundry. Thanks for any efforts to make the place better.

An ongoing inside demo work issue following a different apartments flood, is still not complete in the hall or in her room. It's been months! APS is aware. Also, there is a lack of bathroom cleaning. Not good enough! Otherwise she is happy with everything! Lots of activities and friends!

The facility was very clean and well kept. My experience was that the staff was very friendly. They knew names of the residence and greeted them in the hallways. I did not become a resident But my brief experience was that the staff really enjoyed their job. The cost is very competitive with the marketplace. The location is really good, close to a swimming pool, shopping, good area for walking and very close to a Dairy Queen.

On its face it was nice and clean and offered everything we needed. Shortly after I moved her in they struggled with cleaning her room in a timely manner lost employees, struggled to hire others. Days before toilet paper was given out. All things you don't see until you're moved in.

Positives : office staff is very nice. Residents are very nice. Like that they come around and have maid service. Negative, their elevators go out all the time and the residents get stuck in them. My mom got stuck in it once for 45 minutes . Then it was down for 3 days after that and the residents could not use the stairs because they needed the elevator. So they were stuck in their rooms.

My mother in-law's room was not ready when she moved in as we were promised it would be. The apartment had not been cleaned and the closet doors weren't installed as we'd discussed with the general manager. The lock on the door to her apartment was also broken and still has not been properly fixed and she's been there at least 4 weeks now. The general manager seemed irritated when I stopped by his office because he hadn't responded to my text message about these issues. The other staff are very nice and accommodating but his demeanor toward me changed once I started raising these issues. I don't think it's too much to ask that they keep their word by doing the things they committed to during the walk through. And, every resident deserves to have an apartment that has a locking door.

Apartment is clean food is not great but ok, staff unreliable mostly but ok . Biggest issue is they just raised the rent $[removed]. Most of the tenants are on limited incomes - what are they supposed to do?

No one was informed that I would be doing a walkthrough so I waited about 20 minutes. Not what I was looking for. Was hoping for more of a medical facility on site.

Beautiful building and friendly staff. I had an appointment at 10am but the person was in another meeting. The maintenance man ended up giving me the tour and was very helpful.

My mother liked it, but there's no nurse on staff, and though I had scheduled a tour they had no record of it and the sales person was not available. We toured with the greeter and received misinformation about price. I thought the whole place seemed somewhat dirty and disorganized.

I felt like I had been oversold. Some things that were mentioned during the tour and signing process turned out to not be as described. Also, the food is very subpar.

Positive it's a beautiful facility. NEGATIVE!! People in here that need more care than they offer. They should be in assisted living. It is not a good reflection on it and I think that this will discourage independent people from wanting to be here .

I have two bedrooms but they have cleaned my room 1 time so that part is not good. The staff is nice and the food is pretty good. Activities are pretty good.

This property is a very good example of a 55+ community that provides dining services. It is similar to the community in which I currently live and a bit more pricey. For me personally, I need to spend less even if it means going without dining services. In addition, for me, I would prefer an area not so near the city, and more green areas.

I liked the cottages a lot but lots of miss on roofs was worrisome, maybe lack of maintenance. The main building was very nice and grounds were well kept. The person who showed us around was very knowledgeable but gave us no pack of info to review.

Despite explaining the financial position of my mom to the agent at a certain location, the amount the location had available was substantially different than what the location said was the fee. Apparently, a place for mom does not have low cost options for seniors on a very limited income (ie social security ).
