The staff giving the tour were super nice and did a good job. The facility to us felt more like a nursing home even though it was independent living. I think the residents needed more care than my loved one did.

Director has run off or fired numerous employees. 11 that I'm aware of and most my family has referred. Food is such poor quality because the director won't let kitchen staff by anything but bottom shelf food. Terrible menu that is unhealthy with terrible ingredients. All staff afraid to be fired if they speak up. Residents are tired of complaining and nothing is done.

I dislike living at Forsyth Court. there isn't anything wrong with the community, it's not them. it's just a matter of preference to where I'd like to live instead. overall, I'd give them a 3/5.

My first impression of Echo Ridge was great. They were courteous and the apartment was very nice. I signed paperwork thinking I would be able to move my loved one here, however his health was getting worse and he needed assisted living. I paid the community fee and first months rent and we never received a key. I have called asking at least for a partial refund on the first months rent, but I have not gotten any type of response. I did not leave with a great feeling because of these issues.

They don't listen to people. I have had a problem with my shower and put a request in numerous times and still haven't gotten it fixed. I turned in my notice to vacate because I cannot shower while paying for it. The water gets hot to way hotter and burning. When I reported it, they said "its not the boiler". I have had to shower at my daughters place due to this issue. I have temperature checked it with a thermometer and it reads 118 degrees to 122 degrees.

Our dad likes the fact the doctor comes to the community instead of having to get out and about and schedule appointments, they are also very helpful when it comes to medication. He really likes the activities, he is more mobile then other residents there so they give him different tasks throughout the day to keep him busy. The food is not the best, its vey sandwiched based and just not a lot of options.

The location was great there were pods that allowed for more independent living. It is great that they have balconies. During the tour it had a sterile feel with nice staff. The meal time was strict and not consistent with answers from the community.

I find it very comfortable to live here. The facility is always very clean, the people are helpful, and the more days I spend here, the more it grows on me. The staff that they do have do an excellent job, the only issue is just that they need more of them to help out. I would recommend The Woods at Canco to others who are looking.

Good community, and do provide a lot of services. It was cost prohibitive and will continue to go up each year.

Based on my tour at Rolling Hills Ranch, I thought it seemed kind of stark compared to other places I looked at.

The food is really hyped up, but it's not that good. I don't blame the chef for that. I think they were running out of money when I was there, and they ended up being merged with Atria. I witnessed a lot of favoritism. The rules seemed to be bent for certain people. It was supposed to be a non-smoking facility, but I was on a wing where 2/3 of the people smoked. They finally put air filter machines out in the hallway, but it was bad. I think the director was a smoker herself, which affected policy. The director also asked us to come in and give reviews where she was sitting there typing them up herself as she made us give them verbally to her in front of a group of other residents, which didn't sit right with me. Especially when I asked to fill out the review myself and hand it in later - they wouldn't let me. They made me fill it out right then and there.

It was just alright.

They gave a great tour but we were not impressed with the facility itself. It was very run down and seemed dark and dirty.

I did not like this community due to the cleanliness of the community.

Due to covid the dining is a little more restricted, but the meals are coming to our friends room and he has put on some much needed weight. The office manager [name removed] is extraordinary, she really goes out of her way to make everybody feel welcomed and loved. The house keeping although is very sporadic, so that could be improved.

The corporate management that doesn't work here isn't very good. The management that is here is fine, but they're very limited because of upper management. My cat and I like my apartment. We like the view. They do welcome suggestions for activities, but most of what they do are things I don't want to participate in because they seem childish to me.

We chose Echo Ridge at the time because it fit our budget and the location is close by a lot of stores, restaurants, etc. I do think they could improve on the food, that is the main complaint that I have heard from my mom. Housekeeping seems to be inconsistent, I would tell others to make sure you ask those details when you are interviewing with them.

Its okay, nothing fantastic. There are good things and bad things. As far as the rooms, I have a little apartment, which is just fine. They have a shortage of personnel, so they are not always having the weekly cleaning, and they're having a little bit of problems with logistics. The food is so-so. It's pretty typical institutional food, with some good days and some bad days, like any other place. It's a pretty average place overall. I think the biggest problem is management is understaffed, and they don't' have enough people to do things they have to do. But they try hard, and I have to give them credit for that.

This was our last choice for where we wanted our loved one to go. It was an older looking facility and could use some updates.
