Truly, there might be better places. The food isn't what they advertised when we placed her, and 2 staff members don't like her cats. She isn't happy there, and wants to move. Honestly, the only thing that makes this one step above a senior living is the availability of food, and it's not that good.

Holiday by Warburton Place is a nice facility for residents who can still get around on their own and have most of their mental faculties. Probably not the right fit if a lot of support is required. It's like living on own with some supervision and of course meals.

Overall, mom is doing ok here. I think housekeeping needs more training. Twice in a row, they came to clean mom's apartment and used the same cleaning cloth to wipe down the entire apartment, including the bathroom. Mom was not happy with that and asked them not to come back. She does her own cleaning now and I help her with it. They do have activities, but mom chooses not to participate so I'm not sure about the quality or variety. They have and issue with staff turnover, especially in dining. I've tried it and it was not great, the lettuce on my salad was a little old and discolored. Mom has said it's getting better, though. At this point, I probably wouldn't say that I recommend them. I'd say if you're on a budget and this place is your only affordable option, it's not terrible.

Edgewood Downs is a community you should consider for your loved one. I do still recommend you review other communities in the area to find the right place and the right value for your loved one. The staff communication with the family was good, and they were responsive to our questions. They could use more staffing, as they were short staffed during our experience with them.

Overall Expertise.....great sales pitch but misleading. Not a certified facility, medical (medicine)support for my brother was expensive and inadequate after investigation not enough support and oversight of my brother so really an independent living facility. For independent living it seems high priced. We cancelled once we realized we had been oversold and then started receive invoices for services not provided. We plan to press them to return the $1,000 deposit they toke from my brother savings. I would strongly caution any referrals about the overselling and unreasonable business practices.

When we first moved in we absolutely loved it, the sales staff and director were excellent. Within about 3 months it started going downhill. For the year we were here, there were 4 different managers in that time period. It was very unorganized and gave us an unsettling feeling.

After four months of living here the one thing I can say is if I don’t feel well enough to go to the dining room and instead need to pick up my food, I get about half the amount and it looks like it was just thrown into the container. Many times the evening meal consists of a bare dry sandwich with about half the amount of meat you would normally expect. Generally speaking the food at lunch is pretty good if you’re eating in the dining room. But lately the majority of the time their idea of dessert is a cookie And it’s not being very well received. However I do feel reasonably safe here And the majority of the staff are really nice And helpful

Overall we have been very happy with Holiday Cedar Ridge - however sometimes there is an odor in the place from time to time and we aren't sure if its food or drinks being spill on the carpet but they could work to improve the overall cleanliness.

Was a pretty decent tour, had some things that impressed us but others that did not.

Our family had an in person tour and we were not overly impressed - it was more expensive, and the rooms had small countertops and a smaller kitchen, that really just included a microwave.

The facility needs new carpet, due to animal flees, same carpet, since it was built. I would not recommend

It needs remodeling. The structural repairs is not up to date or is not well kept. The food has improved, and they have really nice meals duing lunch. In addition, not everyone can afford memory care services, so it should be a state manadate, to offer on-site care.

I think that the staff need to be more engaged and involved with the residents.

Holiday Willow Grove has had a lot of turnover. The staff I've dealt with have been great; but then they're no longer there. Around the March-April timeframe the food was a 5 out of 5; but it's now going downhill with their main chef leaving. There used to be three meal choices, but they're now down to two - and weekend meals are not as good. But I know they are trying to find a replacement chef. Communication between the community and the residents & their families has been pretty good. One of the staff members came by to update my mother-in-law on some changes. Their smoking and payment policy were changing; they put it in writing and made sure everyone got a copy. They came by her room and put the notice in her hand. I would still recommend them; they have a great location and the buildings are nice and clean. Just know that they are in transition, so things are not the "norm" right now. Because of that, it's been a bit bumpy. Hopefully things will get better, and the menu will go back to the quality that it once was.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a nice community but it was not primarily what we were looking for, it is strictly independent living and we needed more assisted living

General manager not good yelled at two residents in the dining room for coming down late for breakfast and wouldn't serve them or let them eat at table when they got their food in a form box l seen others come late and get served food on a plate and sit at table to eat . General manager will yell at staff also in dining room during meal time . Otherwise the residents are nice caring and helpful got good activities. Doesn't care if her staff works short handed doesn't come in and help

Our experience has been during the pandemic. I haven't had a chance to see what the community will be able to provide outside of the COVID protocols. The meals are being served in the dining room, and to the resident's rooms. Right now they are at 50% capacity in the dining room. The apartment, all the meals, utilities, changing of linens, housekeeping and transportation is all included in the monthly fee.

Grizzly Peak is an older facility and you can see the age in the carpets. I had an issue with housekeeping, it was not being provided for my loved one for the first five weeks. The staff are all friendly and professional, so that was no fault of theirs. I believe the community was struggling with finding adequate staff, so the other floors received housekeeping while the first floor had no one available. The food has been horrible, the dinner lacks variety and is oftentimes overcooked or just not prepared correctly. The other meals are okay. My mom has a dog and the facility allows pets. She likes to take her dog out on the lawn, but the passageway from her patio to the lawn is dangerous. She has to go over rocks and stones, she fell and bruised her face one time. If they could create a safer trail, that would be much better; I’m sure their current setup is a liability. It’s a friendly place with friendly people. I was hesitant to choose this place because of how expensive it is. I just had higher hopes and expectations for the cost of it.

They don't do anything beyond provide meals and a roof over your head. It was easier to have my loved one at home, then to have him placed here. They have to be more independent.

The staff giving the tour were super nice and did a good job showing us around. The facility to us felt more like a nursing home environment even though it is independent living. It could use some updates. I also think the residents needed more care than my loved one did at the time.
