The local management are very good and do as much as they can to please the residents. Food is good. It is supposed to be independent living, but their area few with memory problems and a number of folks with physical problems that are cared for by independent caregivers. The only reason I'm not giving it top rating is because some of the residents have problems mentally and should be in assisted living 24 hours.

They have taken extra good care of us. They have planned everything to keep us safe.

Meals aren't what they should be. Short on quality.

I love the people, but it's been pretty boring since the COVID. Thank goodness for our porch.

Nice place. All independent apartments but you can add levels of care. Levels are a la carte based on needs. You only pay for what you need. Very reasonable prices.

The community is always clean. The staff is very friendly and we have never had any issues. They do offer activities for the residents and we do think they are pretty good, however our loved one doesn't often participate. A couple of the provided services like laundry could be a little better. We think the quality of the food is pretty good, however we do think they could take a little more care to accommodating for dietary needs.

The food is better then average. It is currently being delivered right now to the apartments. My apartment is fine and looks out on large, pretty trees. I chose this community over others because this was the lowest cost . I feel it is a satisfactory community that feels like home and has no negative features.

The community normally looks good and we have not had any issues with the staff. The community was just painted and they take good care to maintain it well. They do come into my dad's room and clean it once a week. There are always activities available for the residents to participate in. The food is pretty average. Durham Regent is a good value for the price. There is also paid resident parking.

Briarcrest Estates is a good independent living solution. The food is okay. The room sizes are good. My mother in law has a one bedroom with a patio. But they do not have much other outdoor space. The staff is okay.

Even though it was independent living, they encouraged us to hire outside assistance for my parents when they needed it and gave us contacts to reach out to. Out of the two companies we were able to work with, we thought at times they were spread a little too thin and my parents ended up having to wait with some of their needs. The second company we worked with was much better and more attentive. They were very accommodating with my parents needs and even gave them access to a second bathroom when they needed it, although we did need to pay for a second unit. The dinning experiences were very good. We were overall pretty happy. Definitely a good value for the price. They had organized events every day as well and my dad often had a good time. They could use an additional elevator.

The staff at Devonshire seems to stay pretty on top of the cleanliness of the community. They do have a high turnover rate on their housekeeping team, which meant those in the management office were helping out. The staff is a really nice group of people. The care giving staff in particular are great. Because it is an independent living community, you have to hire independent contractors for care, but they were both wonderful. They offered a lot of activities to the residents, however, we saw that at times they were not able to follow through especially when they offered off-community transportation, but didn't have a driver. We wish they could have offered more opportunities with off-site venues. I would not hesitate to put my mother back there!

The community was always clean, the cleaning staff really took the time to get to know the residents and clean their rooms carefully. The staff was very friendly. There were always a lot of food choices and it seemed to be a much better dining set up compared to her previous community. Cedar Ridge was a good value. The cost was reasonable for the care that was provide. There were also always activities available for the residents to participate in as well, including off-site activities.

The Manor at Oakridge is kept very clean. They have been taking excellent care of the community and residents ever since the Covid-19 pandemic. The food, however could use some improvement. There seems to be a slight lack of variety, which can sometimes make the meals a bit repetitive. They do seem to be doing the they can be considering the ongoing pandemic. The care is great. They are always making sure we are social distancing and making sure we are safe and wearing masks when we go outside. I feel very safe here and they do the best they can do to keep us healthy. They are also very quick to respond to maintenance requests in an effort to keep us comfortable. In general, there were a variety of different activities and amenities for the residents to participate in. During the pandemic, they have provided in-room activities to keep the residents entertained. The staff here are very friendly and always looking out for our well being.

I have referred other friends to The Chateau. My dad has a one bedroom and it is a good size, they have a few floor plans. They have nice outdoor space, there is a park across the street. The food is good. My Dad has no complaints, sometimes it is not really hot due to the amount of people they have to serve. They offer a lot of menu choices.

My wife and I enjoyed the tour a lot. [Name removed], office mgr. was very friendly and helpful to give us information about the facility, the 1 BR unit she showed us, dining area etc. It gave us the feeling what downsizing would like. :<(. My said it would give me claustrophobia. The monthly cost, though appearing reasonable, would give us reason to "sleep on it" for some time. All in all a good "get acquainted session" with retirement living.

We found this place to be a little tired on the outside but very nice on the inside. We looked at cottages and apartments and found them to be very spacious. We also informed them that we would not be making a decision until at least June 2020 and they were also very accommodating. We will keep in touch with them.

My brother and I felt it was a nice community, very clean and the grounds are excellent...maybe a bit dated in some of the furnishings, but overall very nice. Great room options, we prefer the one bedroom for our mom. we understand the facility is in high demand and the rate of occupancy is 100%, but we need to take the time and find the right fit for our mom. We are a bit concerned with the median age of 83, as out mother is only 73. However we are going to have her tour the site and give us her feedback.

My daughter & I found the residents very friendly, enjoyed the tour, raisin scones and the amount of activites available. Like the location. acess to transportation, variety of food.

I am really enjoying life at Devonshire. Staff is so caring and residents are pleasant and interesting. I love having such good company at mealtimes. When i’m Away visiting family I miss my Devonshire community !
