This is a beautiful community and facility. The location and grounds are wonderful, and the program is abundant with offerings. The food looks great, as are the many activities. Like the convenience of nearby shopping and city activities. The tour guide, [Name removed] , is an awesome lady. Thinking about this place, though not ready yet to give up my home.

The facility, the staff, and the people I had lunch there (hand-picked for lucidity) were very nice, the food (salmon) for lunch was exceptionally good, but no water nearby and so many older and disabled elderly depressed me. The activities there seemed designed for old folks also... crafts... watching movies together, etc. I liked that you could stay at their other facilities nationwide if you were on travel. It is just that I am in perfect health at the moment, and would like to stay very active...

Excellent presentation on tour. Would definitely be in our short list.

great but too expensive

I toured the facility on Feb. 7th. The location is ideal - there is a mall with liquor store, grocery store etc. right down the street, plus a library and restaurant right across the street. I found Long Lake Chateau to be a welcoming happy place and the residence seemed happy. The building and apartments are a little older and are showing their age but were clean and well kept. The one bedroom apartment was very nice - bright and large. The private dining room is a great feature as are the views of the lake. My Dad is seriously considering moving to this facility.

My mother stayed here for a month of respite and decided to stay permanently. We are so grateful to have a safe, bright, social environment for my her to enjoy. Staff are just lovely from administration to the cleaning service. [Removed] was very helpful and patient with our large family that wanted to view her suite multiple times. There are lots of varied activities such as movie night, exercise classes, knitting club, bridge etc. (Too many to mention.) Frequent outings including a "mystery drive" weekly. (Last week it was to Niagara on the Lake to a chocolate factory.) Shuttle rides available to the malls and Walmart. They can provide transport to doctors appointments if in Burlington on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Light housekeeping provided weekly. Meals are good for the most part. There is a comfort station with hot and cold beverages and snacks available at all times. My mom loves that the "big meal" is at lunch, enjoys the "happy hour" and so pleased that there is a hair salon on site. For what you get cost wise I think it's fairly reasonable compared to other places. It's not super-elite but its a safe, clean, social environment that I think my mother will thrive in. We do worry about the potential price increase of 3-6% each year.

They are keeping my wife socially active. They have a calendar of daily activities and a daily menu also. They serve 3 good meals a day with good portions. It is very clean and sanitary. They offer a shuttle on Tuesdays and Thursdays to go to the local stores or to a doctor's appointment. The outdoor amenities are very pleasing and satisfactory. I would recommend this community to other families.

Super friendly people. Can easily see my Dad fitting in here. But with his medical assistance, the cost is the same as many of the newer spots and ones close to my home and work. No real wellness/exercise program/facility but they do have one stationary bike.

Lovely place but too large for my Mom. She felt totally overwhelmed and out of her element. It was also quite a bit more expensive than we had expected. The staff were very welcoming and the tour and lunch was very well done. Very clean and modern but not homey feeling. We will continue our search at a later date when Mom feels ready.

We toured at Andover Place while looking for a new home for my loved one. I thought that the community was very nice, and I liked that they seemed to have a lot of activities to keep the residents stimulated. However, this community was out of our budget.

I went on a tour here. The staff was nice and friendly. They answered all of my questions. The rooms were on the smaller side and it was more of an independent living and mom needed assisted living. I would recommend families tour this community before choosing a place.

Andover Place has been a great experience for me so far. I think one of their most positive attributes is the well- rounded meal service they provide. I'm a bit of a picky eater and sometimes there are things I do not personally like, but they always have options available. The staff is very friendly and very helpful, they have a pretty full activity schedule, and there is a housekeeper that comes once a week. I have been very happy here, and I would absolutely recommend this community to others.

We went on a tour here for my mom. The staff was nice and friendly. They answered all of our questions. It looked nice and clean in there. But my mom said it was to fancy for her, she is more down to earth for that.

As of 12/08/2017: The smallest studio starts at $1,700. And there's a one-time non-refundable fee of $2,700. Even though it can be spread over three months ($900/mo)], that's a lot of money that's neither refundable or applied to rent. No swimming pool or security (not gated nor secured entry access to building). Otherwise, lots of amenities offered.

While looking into various options for my mother, I noticed that this location is newer and nicer. However it just didn’t have the vibe that I would like my mother to be in. Some things were not covered compared to other locations; however it’s not enough to say that I don’t like it. This location unfortunately, was just not the best fit for my mother.

The staff is nice and helpful. The food is good. It stays clean and tidy. My apartment is nice and has a little patio area. It is close to my doctors and the hospital so very convenient. I would recommend this community.

Loved the tour! The person we scheduled with was out sick but another person took us around. She was knowledgeable and provided good information. We met some residents and saw some rooms. We liked the location and price range was acceptable. When the time comes, we would return to look at this property.
