We chose Golden Oaks because we thought the atmosphere was friendly and the facility itself seemed homey. The price was also good compared to other places. The apartment sizes are a little tight, I think it would nice if they were a little larger due to residents who have to use walkers and wheelchairs. The best part about the community so far has been the friendliness of the staff and they really care about the residents. One thing they could improve on is the food, they bring the food to the room and the meals would mix together. think they could use fresher foods rather than canned but overall, I would recommend.

The staff was outstanding. I would tell my friends that it is an outstanding place. The community doesn't have WiFi for residents, and they don't include a landline for the elderly. The residents are used to calling via a landline. I would like to have these items included in the rent. The residents have to use the cell phones, and sometimes they would lose the cell phone or the use the cell phone due to their arthritis. I wish they had some type of mobile care center for the residents to use. My loved one is trying to stay in the community as long as possible.

I have lived here for 6.5 years and have always found our staff caring and sincere. During this Covid crisis, they have been very conscientious and kept us free from active cases. My greatest desire and complaint is to have more security at night (security guard) and improvement in the dietary department!

Pinegate community is very clean, they had house keeping come once a week and the outside was always very nice and beautiful. This really is a beautiful community. The staff members were very friendly, but this community is pretty expensive. The food for every meal was good, they had a great chef, except sometimes the food portions were small. If you needed certain care services you had to hire them outside of this community. The activities were very good they really would go all out for them. They had singing, movie nights, a variety of games and cards to play. They would also go out for shopping trips and to doctors appointments.

I've lived at Essex House for over 6 years. We find it to be very good with all their amenities and well managed.

It is a very nice place to live. The residence and staff are very friendly and helpful. It is kept clean, the food is good, with many actives. Not as many activities during the Covid-19 pandemic but improving and we have no cases of Covid-19.

Local managment very good, eager to please residents. Food is average. Will be much better when we can eat in dining toom again and have more choices. Activities will be better also when outsiders can come in.

Love this community living. Staff and people very friendly and helpful. Food very good and everything very clean. Would recommend Essex House to anyone. General manager is just the right person to run this home. Many activities and bus trips.

We chose Forest Pines because of the proximity to where I live. The apartment sizes are great, my mom was in a 1 bedroom. My mom was not a big fan of the food, it did not have a lot of flavor an breakfast seemed to be the same choices daily. The best part about the community was the residents and the friendliness of the staff members.

Very different than my first site. Due to pandemic but secure and enjoy the other people and especially the people in charge.

We chose Pinegate because it was a nice and clean facility. The one bedroom apartment that my sister was in is not bad size. She was not fond of the food, just the way it was prepared, she said it did not have a lot of seasoning or flavor to it. Overall, I would recommend this community.

This community is pretty good value, it is semi-independent living there are not a lot of care services provided, however if you do need more assistance all you have to do is just set that up. They have bingo and music for the residents who want to participate, and the activities director is amazing. The food is about a four out of five stars. From our understanding it is not bad at all, and the food is always served on time. The rooms are great, it is an older place so the apartments are larger than what you would find at a more modern place. Some of the rooms have terraces that you can sit out on, and the place is also nicely landscaped.

I chose Pinegate because it provided all of the things that I was looking for in a facility at a cost that met my needs. They have many different options on apartments sizes, but all of them seem to be spacious. They have everything from efficiency apartments to 2 bedroom apartments. My favorite part about the community would be the freedom I have of coming and going. I would definitely recommend.

The staff have done well with the pandemic and keeping us safe. I have been here for 4 years and there is a lot to do.

The services are difficult with the coronavirus in effect. The staff is doing about as good as can be under the conditions.

We chose Forest pines because we needed 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and not many others had that. Also they allow us to have our cat and dog. The food is hit or miss. I would want others to know that they have done a great job taking care of us during COVID. They gave all of us call buttons so if anything happens they are able to assist. Our son called us and told us he is glad we are here because they are keeping us safe. He is always informed with what is going on inside the community. I would recommend Forest Pines.

We chose Durham Regent because they allow pets with the residents. Also, even though it is an older facility, it has been very well maintained. The room sizes are pretty spacious. We have had an issue with the food, my mom has dietary restrictions and every time she gets her food she has something she is not supposed to have. I have had to reach out to the staff numerous times, and it has not been fixed yet. I would recommend this community.
