The staff is very friendly, they take the time to get to know their residents and what they like and don't like or what to look out for if something doesn't seem "right". They also keep in contact with family or emergency contacts of their residents to let them know if their loved one has had an issue or has been sent to the hospital. The housekeeping is wonderful. They come in once a week or every other week and they do light cleaning, which has been a lifesaver for my dad. It has helped out with the basic things that he has a hard time doing. The meals are very good. I have had the pleasure of eating with my dad and the food is very delicious and there are plenty of options available throughout each meal. I would recommend this facility to anyone that is looking for a safe place for their loved one that is not quite at the place or need for a nursing home but they can't maintain a home/house on their own. I only wish the cost was a little less, but it is manageable.

We liked the tour of Holiday Forest Pines. We just felt like our loved one needed more monitoring and care than Holiday Forest Pines had to offer for care.

We are very satisfied!!! We picked this community, because of their staff and location. They have great staff, that is so helpful and caring.

I had both my mom and dad there at different times, and they were very attentive to their needs. We picked this community, because cost was a big factor. Also the friendly staff and other residents are welcoming. They seem to bend over backwards to assist you in your needs. Depending on their needs, I definitely recommend it.

They are friendly but they are short on staff. The food that is served to the residents needs to be a lot healthier. The room sizes here are just fine. We moved my loved one out of the facility recently due to these issues.

We toured with White Oaks and we thought it smelled funny when we walked in. It was in the middle of being redecorated at the time. The view from the room was just a busy street. It was not the right fit for my loved one.

My loved one is currently a resident at Holiday Maple Suites. He was unhappy with his previous facility and decided to move here. My loved one is much happier here at this facility. He has his own small apartment and comes and goes as he pleases.

What we really like about Holiday Redwood Retirement is the building itself, its really light and airy feeling. What we dislike is when it comes to the meals they skimp out on the vegetables or they are absent. There are no diabetic friendly foods and there are also no significant organized social activities.

First of all when I moved here, they promised me a couple things which they have never fulfilled They don't have enough staff here for cleaning. Sometimes you go months without getting a room cleaned. The food in the cafeteria is not fit for anybody. It's for a diabetic, or not that good. They promise you a lot, before they get here but they never fulfill it, very poor management.

We picked this community because it was conveniently located to where I live, and the price/amenities. My loved one is quite happy. They could improve on maintaining personnel, since there has been a lot of turnover in staffing. I would recommned taking a look at the facility.

Don't get me wrong, the place is nice. Sometimes the food could be better. They don't have an Activities Coordinator, so there's hardly any activities. Also, no bus driver. So if you want to go somewhere, they call you an Uber. My mother's housekeeper doesn't think she needs to clean my mother's apartment every Friday and expects her (my mother) to vacuum her own apartment. That's one of the reasons that we had picked this place, the housekeeper is supposed to clean your room once a week. They also provide towels and linens for the bed, but it has not happened yet.

They are currently understaffed at Holiday Quail Run Estates. They need a cook, maintenance person, Activities Director and someone to drive their van. That being said, they still seem to keep things going. For the most part, my mom is doing well being there.

I would say; My Father has thrived since moving in. He has become active in book club and made several friends. He is much more independent. It's a clean and pleasant environment and the staff is great. They have a really nice dining room with 3 meals served daily. The food is good and nice portion sizes. I have been very pleased with my fathers stay this far.

They serve three good meals a day. If their parents need help with getting around the building and they have gaming. It is not an assisted living facility, so if their parents have alzheimer's or other serious mental illnesses, they don't provide necessary services like nursing care.

We feel grateful that someone is there for her if she needs help most of the time. Two areas of concern are your staff shortage especially related to dining and housekeeping. My mom has been there 2 months and I believe housekeeping has only been in her apartment once. Regarding dining, my mom cannot hear the PA system in the building and has missed the to-go dinners several times when you don't have enough staff or during bad weather. One other concern is that there is still someone smoking in the building and most units can smell it through the vents.

The gal from Alexis Gardens, who initiated the first call did spend considerable time sharing about the place and invited my loved one to come for an activity. They were friendly and kept trying to make it work out for my loved one. I would love more outings with others who desire it, such as an occasional matinee movies or musicals, which will allow those who can, to get out of the building more frequently.

Nice community but didn't fit our needs. My loved one was in need of in-house continuous care from independent living through memory care. Some areas of the building were not shown. However, we did receive a nice bakery treat from the kitchen.

I toured this facility and it went very well. Everything was very good. The cleanliness was good. The friendliness was also good. I considered this facility as an option for my loved one.

This is a great community. I think your loved one would love it here. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff communication with the family was good. Anytime we called the staff were helpful. My loved one enjoyed the food served. There were no activities available as there was no activities director.

We're glad we made the move and are very happy here. The people are all very friendly, and the residents all get along. The staff is helpful and accommodating. They could improve the food - I just wish there was a little more variety. But overall we're happy, and I would definitely recommend it to others.
