The dining room is chronically understaffed. The dining room staff is very good and friendly and helpful to those who have difficulties but due to the understaffing, service is slow with long delays between courses. Food quality has diminished greatly, and is often cold, especially on weekends. The charges for amenities have risen greatly, but quality and quantity of food has not. The recently renovated main floor washrooms have standard height toilets rather than chair-height toilets which would be more accommodating for an aging population.

The facility is clean and easy to navigate. The size of the residence is perfect and easy for my mom and her walker to get around. The staff are amazing!! They are very kind and go out of their way to make sure my mom and the other residents are okay. The food is what mom complains about the most. The portions are good and there is some choice for each meal. She finds the food sustains her through the day and rarely snacks between meals. However, I think she feels there is not a lot of variety. She doesn't want meat and potatoes everyday of the week.

It has been a very positive experience for us and my mother-in-law. She loves her new home and is happy with the meals and the variety of options. The ladies at her table have now become good friends and she enjoys walking the grounds when the weather permits and walks the floors when she can’t be outside.

Staff is wonderful at Holiday Columbia. It has been a good experience for my dad since moving out his home to a senior living community. I love that he has private balcony on his apartment where he can go outside anytime. It really helps his mental health. I would recommend Holiday Columbia. The only area for improvement is the dining experience but they have new ownership that is working on resolving these issues.
