Durham Regent wasn't as active but did allow smokers. The staff was helpful in answering all our questions and the surrounds were pleasant maybe in hind sight, this community may have been a better fit for my sister-in-law.

I want to start out by saying that Birch Heights is a beautifully well-kept and clean community. The staff is outstanding. They are very caring and friendly. The problem is that the food is not good. I have eaten there and they do not provide healthy choices for the dietary needs of the residents. If it doesn't improve drastically we will have to move my Dad to a place where they will accommodate the dietary needs of the residents. The service is very slow and they try and hurry the residents when they finally do get served. If they run out of healthy choices which they often do, they substitute a healthy meal with a sandwich. In addition, when I ate there I noticed some of the food is very salty which cannot be good for the residence. My Dad is diabetic and bread is not a good substitute meal. It is a poor dining experience for the residence. I hate to say this because everything else is a perfect fit for my Dad.

I have not heard anything negative about this community. The staff are really nice and helpful. The community is clean and it is a nice environment. The grounds are well taken care of. They have a full dining room and the food is good. I would recommend this community.

My mother is doing great with her move to this community. It has been a rough transition, but we do feel she is in good in community. At this community the residents are able to still keep their independence, and have access too help if they needed. The staff is fabulous, they are very kind, and friendly. They do a good job with the cleanliness around the community. We are pleased with all they have done for us, this is a facility I would recommend, the experience is going well our family.

I have been satisfied with my first three weeks at the Chateau. The staff are very friendly and helpful in making me feel at home. I am enjoying my time here meeting some old friends meeting new friends.

The people at Rushdale took excellent care of my mother. She had a strong sense of being independent and having a private life, but also had all the support and community she needed whenever she needed it. The place was always extremely clean and the food nutritious and well-prepared. Overall, a very satisfying experience for my family.

The introduction to Westhaven by [Removed] was right in with the residents at meal time. All features of the residence were shown and explained. All staff are well trained and i have observed friendliness, compassion and experienced assistance given to residents. The rooms are clean, well serviced weekly for bedding changes, vacuumed and dusted, and kitchens are made spotless. Every effort is made to help choose the right room, and changes are made if necessary as vacancies occur. The three meals a day are exceptional, well presented healthy, with variety and many optional choices. The menu is rotated over a long period of time. Activities are in abundance, Bus trips are made daily to one of the categories mentioned for the day. Shopping, Dr.appointments, grocery, malls, churches and sight seeing. I have visited two other retirement communities and nothing can prepare.

Mom is doing great since moving into this community. The staff are terrific they are accessible and friendly. They have two on site home care services. Mom loves the food and they offer a wide variety of healthy choices. They offer good sized portions. The grounds are beautiful. They have a garden, large walkways and all the rooms have patios. They promote family visiting as they offer a buffet once a month for families. This is an active community and I would recommend it.

I have no complaints of the tour I had taken of this community. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions we had for them it was just not the right fit in the end decision.

I have no complaints with how things are going for my loved one since she has recently made the move into this community. The staff have been very friendly to her and have accommodated her needs as best as possible. She has been enjoying participating in many of the activities and the social environment at this facility. My mom has mentioned that meals are either hit or miss at meal time.

My wife and have lived here nearly two weeks, and we cannot rave about how much we love it. The staff are very friendly and we have met and made many new friends. Could not ask for a better place for a senior to live.

My mom is doing okay and it seems like she has not settled in yet. I am satisfied with the community and there have been no problems yet. However, I have not been getting updates and I would appreciate hearing feedback about she is doing there.

I'am comfortable with my mothers move to this community. Everything is working out well, and she is doing well. This is a nice, safe community. They have nice staff, and they have been very kind, and friendly. There are activities offered for the residents when they are ready to participate. She has adjusted well to this community, and I would recommend it.

I toured this community and found it to be outstanding!! The people are friendly and very welcoming. The food was good and residents chatted it up in the dining room. Our tour guide Bill was very knowledgeable and made you feel like you were important. It was also very clean. [Removed] had lunch with us and was equally as passionate about what they do. They residents all said that my mom would like it here. They loved both of them and you could tell it was genuine. Fleming Point is definitely at the top of my list. I will revisit with my siblings

My mother is still adjusting but I think she's doing okay. I like that all the rooms offer a patio.It's a nice space she can go outside and enjoy. They offer transportation on Sundays to church and take them to Wal-Mart on Wednesdays. I haven't had much interaction with the staff.They were very friendly and helpful during the admission process. When I come to pick her up the dining room staff always offers me coffee or food which is thoughtful.

They are very nice here. The only complaints my mom has is the food isn't very good and the housekeeping doesn't come in often enough.

When I toured The Manor at Oakridge, I thought it was almost identical to Essex House. The facility was beautiful and everyone there was very friendly, but I got a better feeling when I walked into Essex house, so I went with them. There was nothing wrong with The Manor, they were a great choice as well.

We recently moved our 96-year-old father to the Echo Ridge Senior Living apartment complex. With the help and support of the great staff and friendly residents Dad has adjusted very quickly and is thriving in his new, more social environment. The dining and community features are top notch and the grounds are lovely. There are many different programs for folks of all different interests. Wonderful local performers come to Echo Ridge and entertain the residents with their musical talents. There are classes, Bible study groups, and singing get-togethers weekly. There is a work-out room and handy laundry facilities. My brother and I have decided to keep Echo Ridge in mind for our own later retirement years! Dad has only been living at Echo Ridge for a month but it is already starting to feel like home to him. He has his World War II picture (along with a recent photo that staff member Holly took of him) on the Echo Ridge "Wall Of Honor" where photos of residents that are military veterans are displayed. Dad was so proud--and at his age his years of service are the earliest of all the resident veterans posted. We really appreciate that Echo Ridge wants to honor our beloved veterans! Thanks to all the great Echo Ridge staff and residents my precious father has a safe and happy environment in which to enjoy his senior years. Sincerely, JB

My friend is doing fine and she likes all and everything that is here. The meals are tasty, the activities are plenty, the staff are nice, and the community is a well maintained facility.
