I have an Aunt that just moved into Holiday Living and she loves it. The people, the management, and the food is wonderful. She likes the ease to get out and do the activities, go out in the community on the bus and with other residents. All in all she is very happy.

We had a lot of various activities until the pandemic hit. They always put our health and safety first. They help us well-informed on what is going on. If we have any questions all we need to do is ask.

When I walked up to Golden Oaks the appearance of the building was extremely clean and maintained. The front desk staff was very welcoming and greeted us with a smile and a warm hello. The screening protocol was far above our expectations-it was explained in detail and they are covid free which is amazing since it is a larger senior community. The Office Manager toured us and was genuinely concerned about our needs for mom, but she needs memory care or else we would have chosen this community. We were given home made cookies and received a follow up call the next day thanking us and she made it clear that they were there to answer questions about other places if need be. I WILL recommend this place to everyone I know looking.

Village Gate of Farmington was a great place and we really liked it here, my mom was very comfortable as well. They did the best they could with activities and getting residents involved during the pandemic. We moved her in during quarantine, so she was unable to socialize with the other residents and we were 2 hours away, so we ended up moving her in with us recently.

To me this is a great place to live. I have been here 3 years, 7 months. My managers are really caring people. The people that live here care about each other. My managers bend over backward to be helpful. I feel safe & well feed. Our chef aims to please & that is not easy when you consider every body's wants & wishes. Our servers, kitchen help, cleaning people, bus driver etc do their best to please us. Even our sales manger does over & above. As I talk to other friends & people who are in like placesI I am so-o-o happy to be here. We are a family. Rock Creek is A-OK for sure.

My girlfriends dad recently moved to the manor. People are friendly, residents seems very happy, and the best part is that my girlfriend’s dad is not calling 200 times a day anymore. Thank you Manor at Woodside, mission accomplished.

It says so much about a facility when local hospitals and met staff recommend this manor

We thought this community was very clean, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. We thought the value was good for what we were paying. The care service were great. Our loved one didn't always participate in the activities but they had volleyball, exercise classes. Live entertainment to come in and sing, they also had movie night. Our loved one thought the food was fantastic, she never complained. We only saw a couple of rooms when we visited and we thought they were pretty cute. Depending on how much you wanted to spend you could get a bigger room. What we loved right away was the walk way in the back. It had a beautiful garden and a beautiful paved walkway. You could go on a nice walk and sit on some outdoor furniture, or have lunch under the umbrellas

My mother lived at Cedar Ridge for 10 years before she had to move to an assisted living facility. The managers [names removed] were absolutely fabulous! They did everything they could to make her life there fun and enjoyable. During her 10 years she had [names removed] for housekeepers and they not only cleaned her room but looked after her and became good friends. The staff and facility get excellent ratings from me and my mother.

I find Copley Place to be a very friendly and warm community. It's been very delightful visiting with friends throughout the years.

Thank you for the care and attention you provide to keep your residents safe. Although not the type of lifestyle they enjoy, the safety and health is of the utmost importance.

I am grateful to all staff and those in charge at Durham Regent Retirement Home for their support, dedication, thoroughness, respect, and competency in management and attention to safety and health of residents. They have managed with special changes in place during this time due to pandemic, regular updates regarding our progress, needs, explanations, kind support & reminders PRN as well. In prior review I expressed concerns and distress over difficulties in development of trust & positive problem-solving relationship with [name removed] . Since then, we have clarified our perceptions and concerns. She responded clearly, kindly and respectfully. She is clearly an intelligent woman who took a little quiet time to listen and her response (verbal & non-verbal) show of understanding & respect has made a great difference especially at this time for me while I am dealing with physical pain and some especially difficult losses at this time. I have some medical problems that require some dietary adjustments. I have been requesting the changes in meals without having thought to explain the reason until yesterday. ?? I clarified medical concerns including (medication)which I hadn't thought to provide. They had been kindly trying to meet my perceived "preferences" in food. After we discussed it together, Director suggested I discuss concerns with MD, perhaps with possible dietary referral to MD for Dietitian as consult. I have been receiving PT with other treatments and, as I indicated, in a lot of pain, therefore have not gone to meals when invited to dining room for more than 2-3 events outside of my apartment since I fell, some weeks ago. I have been able to remain up to date and in contact with staff. I expect to be able to return to some dining room meals soon. I am grateful to Durham Regent Retirement Home Staff for feeling of confidence and support with clear safety education, assistance with problem-solving and precautions during this difficult time. My prayers are for the continued safety of Directors, all staff, residents and families of both.

It’s a little pricey but generally better than other places. I like the activities they provide for the elderly. Most times the meals are good, but they definitely offer healthy choices. The staff is generally friendly and I appreciate that they have been very strict with keeping COVID from entering the community out.

I’m so grateful for the excellent care my mother receives at Niagara Village! I’m confident her safety and well being have been their utmost priority during this unprecedented difficult time with COVID-19. The balance between safety and socialization is outstanding!

Summerfield is my family’. ??

The executive director was very caring; everyone was very friendly. The staff is one of their pluses. The community had some issues with getting enough staff to be able to provide all the services they told us they would be able to provide. They did come and clean my parents apartment regularly. They had good activities available like exercise classes and live entertainment, which my mother loved. For the type of community, they did a really good job.

Location is good. It's easy to get to, right off 91. The staff is very friendly. Communication is good. They have done a good job keeping in contact with me through the Corona Virus quarantine. The building layout is good, no stairs. Food is good. My mom had friends at The Lodge when she moved in so that made her transition easier. They take residents to doctor appointments and shopping. They bring in Entertainment to the community. Before the virus they had monthly trips to the Casino. There is a lot to do at The Lodge. My mom is never bored.

As a family member of a resident, I am only sorry that the guidelines prohibit me from naming some of the wonderful people who have gone out of their way to help my dad. Two of them in particular have been incredibly helpful and compassionate: one, who brought my Care packages up to my father (all the residents are in isolation), and arranged to have his laundry done; and a second, who loaned him an exercise video and gave him a packet of fun activities to do during this time of quarantine. I am also impressed that, according to the manager, the cleaners are daily sanitizing hallway handrails, doorknobs, etc., and that all workers who enter the building are scanned for fever. I will also commend the Manor for the process of food delivery to each room. According to my dad, the meals are quite good, and I am personally very happy to hear that bottles of water are delivered to each resident twice a day, since water is so important to health! In the end, it's the people that matter, and there are many staff at The Manor who are helpful and kind. I am very grateful for the concern that they have shown, and again--I wish I could name them!!!!

The Chateau at Harveston is a really clean place. The staff is friendly. The food is good. The other residents get along very well and are all happy. The other thing I love is that it is really in the middle of the community so it is near shops and apartments restaurants and it really fits in. It has a great location.
