[Name removed] gave me a virtual tour of The Manor via Zoom. I was positively impressed with the care they take and appreciative of his obvious passion for the work they do and careful thought into the services they provide for the residents. This seems like a good alternative and I will certainly be adding The Manor to my list of places to consider carefully.

They have a lot of activities. They have a friendly staff. I feel comfortable here and I have been happy here at Vista de la Montana. If you have a problem they try to solve it quickly. Food is good. They have sitting areas outside in the front of the building and lots of area in the lobby to sit and chat.

In my opinion Palmer Hills is the best place for my dad. I love the way they engage my dad in activities and encourage him. My dad’s life is full now. My dad likes the food. It has been a total 100% positive experience for my family.

I started looking for an independent senior living facility in [date removed] for my 90yr old mother who is very capable but has limited vision and hearing. Greenwood Terrace was presented as the best option by A Place for Mom. We had looked at 4 places and this was about $1,000 less/month than comparable options close to me and the fact that personal services are offered in packages as needed will allow her to continue living there when she needs more help instead of moving into an assisted living facility that averages another $5000/month. 24hr emergency assistance is included in the monthly charge as are all meals and activities. We were both impressed on our tour that each resident we passed was introduced by name. The facility was also well decorated and very clean. She moved into a 1 bedroom apartment on [date removed] and was making friends and adjusting well when the pandemic forced residents to be secluded in their apartment homes. Greenwood Terrace acted quickly to adapt to the challenging circumstances developing a plan to deliver meals and snacks and limiting visitors to health care only, but allowing family members to provide needed care also. Everyone is screened upon entering the lobby and, so far, they haven't had any positive COVID-19 cases. They are also following everyone who has any illness in their facility. I'm very pleased to recommend Greenwood Terrace to anyone.

[name removed], the manager, is so thoughtful and effective at keeping The Manor running smoothly. You couldn't ask for a more competent person to be in charge. My 98 year old mother in law has been safe and healthy during this very difficult time because of the professional staff at The Manor. The Manor has been a great place for my dad to live. He’s been living there for about a year and a half now and has really settled in to a nice routine. At first, there were some bumps along the way but the consistent care and support from the management team and staff helped him feel at home. During these times of Covid-19 the staff at the Manor have been working especially hard to keep my dad, and all their clients, safe. I have peace of mind knowing they are keeping an eye on him when I can’t be there myself. I’m truly grateful for their dedication.

The staff seem very concerned and supportive of the residents and they provide a lot of family support. We liked what we saw when we walked into the building. We liked the interaction with the staff. They were very friendly and we appreciate their willingness to welcome residents with challenges. We also like that the cost is affordable

Overall a great place. Some family members originally thought they needed an Assisted Living Community but have found that she is happy in Independent Living and it is able to meet her needs. The community feels real homey. I have not had the best experience with one of the managers but over all happy with the staff, just needs a little fine tuning. My mom is happy she is able to go outside and walk like she likes to do three times a day. My mom has a nice little balcony off her room.

The Management and Staff of this wonderful facility are beyond superb. Knowledgeable, resourceful and above all: CARING. My mother spent her final days at Fleming Point and our entire family (and friends) could not have been more pleased. The world could use more places and people like Fleming Point. Bless them all.

Both my parents lived here and they both really liked it. I can't say enough about all the staff they were the best. The food was excellent and will consider this as a place I'll live when the time comes. The outdoor flowers etc and landscaping and seating make it all a welcome place.

Since November 2012 (moved in) I am very blessed to be able to live at Rock Creek. I know this is where our Lord "planted" me. We have a wonderful staff- we are in a safe and clean environment. We have a very caring staff, we have 3 good meals a day, we have a lot of activities to choose from. Rock Creek is a wonderful Independent Living community.

Great place! Staff is first rate, very friendly and courteous. There are many activities for seniors here at facility and transportation for off site for activities. The food is great. The selection is good. At least 3 selections each meal. They are all premium type not cheap bulk fillons but real meals. I recommend this place to seniors without reservations.

Orchid Terrace is upbeat, pleasant and sunny, including the physical aspects and the people/staff interaction. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere for each meal is professional and relaxing. There are lots of daily options for activities and new ideas are welcome. In fact, management has a monthly meeting with residents for their input. I am writing this for my Mother and to summarize by saying we are both so happy she made the move to Orchid Terrace.

This was a very lovely and warm place. The staff were very nice and so are the residents. We have told them that we would not be able to make a decision until at least June 2020 but they were very accommodating. We will keep in touch with them.

Rock Creek Retirement Community Hillsboro, Oregon My mother, [name removed] lived in this community for eight and a half years. My Review: My mother has been a part of the Rock Creek Retirement Community since my father passed away over eight and a half years ago. Needless to say, she was one of the tenured residents and saw many changes over the years, as well as her family. She moved from a one bedroom apartment to a lovely studio with a balcony and northern view for over half her years and has loved ever part of her stay and the community at Rock Creek. We have seen many changes in the management until finally the best staff arrived; [name removed] and [name removed], as well as [name removed], [name removed] (marketing) and [name removed](maintenance), [name removed] (housekeeping) and the Atlantis staff on site. I have never seen a better staff with the highest professionalism and loving care provided to each and every person who walks in the doors of Rock Creek. In my mothers case, she was at rehab for six weeks and all she wanted was to get back to her family at Rock Creek. She did and was grateful to have finally come home before going on to her permanent home above. The staff at Rock Creek not only manage a top notch facility, but do it with humility and grace. I cannot say enough about the staff and community at Rock Creek Retirement Community but thank you from the bottom of my heart for the loving care and community you have provided each resident tho is fortunate enough to live there. First Class! The entire staff from Director down are dedicated, professional people. My parents lived over 45 yrs in the same country home with a park like yard in the back (...and literally a park right out their front, i.e. Birds Hill Park) that they enjoy year round. Therefore, understandably any move like their's is difficult and a life changing adjustment. However, the staff not only rolled out the 'red' carpet for my parents but also were amazingly accepting to welcome their dog (Jingles). It turned out the my parents found a wonderful home for Jingles (a border collie...which is not a small dog, and the director know this), but just the prospect of Amber Meadows accepting their pet was a huge weight off my parents and helped easy their transition. Cheers!

My tour at Court at Barrhaven was excellent. The premises were fantastic, the rooms were just great, [Name removed] was an excellent tour guide.. Plenty of information was shared and very interesting the surroundings were very clean, smell was good, nice and bright, sunny, All in all it was very good

Left with a very good feeling. Clean, good good and so many wonderful people/staff. Everyone made you feel welcome. Residents were happy and would walk up to you and tell you how much they like it there. Great visit

The place was attractive on driving up to it, and had a clearly well-maintained exterior and landscaping. The setting, up in the woods, away from the road, with a field behind it but nothing else easily visible, was appealing to us. Inside, while the decor scheme was dated, it was very clean and well-maintained, and was free of smells. The units definitely had very dated vanities (the look was perhaps from the late 1980s) some of which were beginning to disintegrate on their edges, but the new manager of the place is working on updating the decor within the units; the model unit looked very good to us with updated flooring and new furniture. There's no quartz or granite tops here, but you will also pay significantly less to live here so it's a tradeoff between fancy new decor and money. What struck us was the sense of community and the warm, welcoming vibe we got from the residents. We had a good time at lunch, which was nothing special, just spaghetti, but it was good. There was salad offered as well, and a corn muffin, plus a blondie as dessert. All was perfectly acceptable. We appreciated that we didn't wait to have coffee, it was offered immediately upon sitting, and ice water was already on the table, as was the corn muffin, so we would not be hungry as we waited to have our order taken. We gave our order, and the food arrived nearly instantly. What a difference from other sit-down style places, where there can be a long wait. We liked that we did not have to get in a line cafeteria style and be responsible for carrying a heavy tray. They had fun at lunch with the residents, as it was a holiday (though the loudspeaker was overly loud, tinny, and difficult to understand clearly.) Several people came over to speak with us, and it was clear that we had things in common that we could share if we chose the community. We loved the open field and woods outside, and that the units received good light. Some opened directly on the rear area and had screened porches. There was a good amount of community space for various activities, and outings could be had Monday-Wednesday with frequency, plus transportation to doctors' visits. There was no movie theater, auditorium, or pool but the manager has arranged for all of those things to be offered to residents through planned outings, including weekly swimming. We liked that they are affiliated with Holiday, which means that if we wanted to visit another city, where there's family, or just for a vacation, it could be arranged for us to stay at a sister facility. In short, for us, there was good value to be had here and it's on our short list. We need a place for those who plan to stay home because they do not drive, a place where there's a sense of community and many activities in-house, and the opportunity to stay fit and spend time outdoors. We hope the decor and fixtures will be updated but that's low on the list, more of a want than a real need. The important part was that it all worked well and that maintenance would be there quickly if something were not working well; residents told us that typically maintenance would be there the day it was reported. It's the small things in life that will get under your skin, and it seems they are aware of that here. The staff was friendly and seemed to genuinely care about the residents, unlike what we read in other reviews here. It's possible the new manager has made changes since the last reviews that made a big difference. We liked him very much, he seemed to genuiunely care about the happiness and well-being of the residents, so perhaps this is not the same person who was described in a previous review. We can't imagine saying that about the manager we met. In fact, out of the managers and reps we've met thus far in visiting several places, he was by far the most genuine, knowledgeable and personable and is one of the reasons we placed this facility high on our list.

Our tour was so helpful, [name removed] was wonderful. This facility is probably the right fit for a Dad, but we want the opportunity to tour a few more.
