Our family had an in person tour and it is a very beautiful community but it was a little more on the expensive side. The memory care side was on the second floor and it wasn't locked down so it was secured. The outside space was in the middle of the building that had not access to any green nature - could not see really any trees just small planters with flowers.

My loved one likes the food. The value for the, money is at market value. We picked this place because it was a good location, great quality, and it met the needs of my loved one. Overall, my loved one greatly enjoys the community, has more engery, and has a more enthusiastic view on life.

This was a nice community. The community was slightly larger than we wanted for our loved one.

The staff is great and it is very clean there. I wish they had activities that took them out and about like day trips, going out to eat, etc.

One of many tours, I can say take your time and do research before finding what works best for your loved ones.

Our family had an in person tour and the tour experience was great it seemed like a really nice community, however where our loved ones health stage was at we felt this would be a better place for those who's loved ones are more likely to take advantage of all the different amenities, activities and day trips. very adanvace

I would let others know that they do not have a dietician - so it is the families responsibility to support any dietary needs beyond the basics.

My wife and I and our car started living at the VIlla in [date removed] in a two bedroom apartment. In a short time everyone knwe us and we remembered the names of many of the residents. The first year went by quietly and then COVID-19 hit. The Exec. Dir. had everything organized and immediately put everyone on quarantine, delivering all the meals to our rooms. Logistically a very big job, but was done in a very timely manner and the meals were delivered on time every day. Happy Hour was abandoned with the Activities Dir bringing a cart around twice a week with wine and beer. Several of our neighbors and us would meet in the public sitting area, chat and enjoy ours drinks. In March of 2021 my wife passed away and my cat and I moved to a one bedroom apartment. Since then, I have had a ball going on trips, exercising, taking on the publishing the Villa newsletter and leading a Bible Study once a week. Living at Keystone Villa is so much better than living alone in a big house with all the responsibilities of the maintenance and care of the property, seeing only service people when they come to your door. Oh yes, friends visit, but its better to be able to see people whenever you leave your apartment. Keystone Villas, Douglasville is a very pleasant comfortable place to ilve. it is also important to stay active.

He is forgetful but able to carry on a conversation and remember who we are. I am not sure a facility exists in our area that would be perfect for him We are satisfied with Heritage Green. My father is in memory care mainly because he can't transfer, see or hear. They do seem understaffed and we have hired a sitter to come in 5 days a week. That has made a big difference. He likes to talk and be social. Ideally, he would be in a facility that has other social residents but that is not the case in the memory facility. But the workers are pleasant and seem to enjoy him. He has a roommate who doesn't talk. The rooms and public areas are clean and tidy. Security is good.

Our families experience has been pretty good so far with The Birches, what really stood out to us initially was the friendliness of the staff. When we ask our loved one about the meals she can't really remember but from what we have seem the meals and dining service seems to be just fine. They do have a lot of different activities for the residents, and we really like that our loved one has a little kitchenette in her apartment. Based on our experience we would recommend this community to other families.

This community was not at the same level as another community that we were looking at. Everyone there was nice but there was another community that we looked at first and it just seemed like a better experience for my loved one. This community was just not what we were looking for.

I liked Chestnut Knoll. I thought the tour was really good. We just chose a place that was all on one floor.

My mom lived at Senior Commons for 3 years until she passed so my family got to know the facility and the staff pretty well. They all sincerely cared about my mom. We were especially pleased with the med techs who dispense the medication and check on the residents throughout the day. They spend the most time with the residents and were all respectful, kind and hard workers. In addition, we were especially pleased with those at the front desk, those in the dining hall and those in charge of the activities. My mom had a really nice 2 room apartment with a kitchenette. I would highly recommend Senior Commons.

Our family had an in person tour and the person who was supposed to lead the tour was not there so the activities coordinator stepped in. She did a great job, she was very thorough and was able to answer all of our questions. She was able to show us around and even a couple of rooms. However they have so many floors and we did not want our loved one trying to navigate the elevators. Also the parking for the visitors is not desirable

My mother seems to like The Birches.

If you are looking for a personal care home, I would recommend you seriously consider Senior Commons at Powder Mill for your loved one. My loved one is adjusting to the community and the staff have been responsive to the family. The only issue that we have had was with medication; however, it has worked itself out. Bingo, games, and more are some of the activities available for the residents. There is a variety and choices of food for the residents to choose from.

very friendly staff. very clean welcoming in all aspects. would recommend for anyone with loved one in need of care.

I would say to check this community out for you or your loved one. You may like it or you may not depending on your loved ones needs. They have activities like bingo, cards, work out classes, and more for the residents to do to stay busy and social. The tour was great and they were able to give me what i needed and what I didn't get I was able to call and ask questions.

This community had a very corporate feeling it was very large and not the feeling that I was looking for for my loved one. This community just felt more corporate than homey and assisted living. The tour was great and the community followed up and gave me all of the information that I needed.
