My first impression was that music in the lobby was loud. That has since been lower. Front desk lady [name removed] greets you with a big smile and makes you feel so welcome! Staff and meeting and getting to know the residents is what I like the best.

The communication between the Home Instead coordinator and me was outstanding from the very beginning. They took the time to understand my mom's needs and matched her with the appropriate level of care. The facility was not only fresh-smelling but genuinely clean, which gave us great peace of mind. The dining options were well organized, and the quality of the meals was very good. I would rate Traditions of Hershey a 4 out of 4 for cleanliness, compassion, efficiency, knowledge, competence, friendliness, and fair pricing. Traditions of Hershey gave my mom a peaceful, comfortable, and dignified final few weeks of life, and I will always be grateful for the care she received there. Before moving to Traditions of Hershey, Mom had lived at three other assisted living facilities during the last year of her life: The Village of Morrisons Cove, Columbia Cottage-Linglestown, and Brookdale Grandon Farms. Unfortunately, our experience at those facilities was very different. They did not adequately address her changing needs, and we felt that the lack of appropriate care contributed to her decline rather than providing the comfort and support she deserved. I highly recommend Traditions of Hershey to families looking for compassionate, attentive, and high-quality care for their loved ones.

Over all it's pretty good. My only complaint is the mixing up and losing clothes and shoes.

Keystone Villa Independent Living is a great place to live if you are ambulatory, love to interact with people, join clubs, enjoy activities (happy hour 3 days a wk), mini entertainment almost every afternoon, great holiday concerts, bazaars, etc. But, unfortunately my mom being 98 years young was no longer able to enjoy the amenities that Keystone IL has to offer so she's transitioning to another personal care facility closer to where we live.

Good Experience. I talked to 2 residents in independent living. and 1 resident in memory care. All three residents were giving the facility positive good ratings. The aesthetics were fair to good. [Name Removed] took us on a tour. She was great. Going back for a second tour on [Date Remvoed]

Nice facility. Looked to be very clean, well laid out. Staff seemed friendly. One thing I did not really like was the memory care unit the residents could not bath or shower in their room. They had to go to another room. My aunt would not like that as she would probably need to be in the memory care facility. The price for staying was much higher than another place we toured

The staff are great. Very compassionate and understanding they were amazing with cleanliness even though my mom was constantly rearranging and packing and unpacking everything. The food I saw was restaurant quality I was rarely there at meal time. Her room was large almost too big truthfully. Some where around 10x10 or 15x15. The bathroom was shared between two residents (think college dorm kinda) and was large enough for a wheelchair to maneuver freely. They have a lot of activities each day it looked like most of the residents participate in them. My only complaint would be there is only one elevator to the memory care unit and it was broken two times I was there. The staff were great with redirecting my mom during her worse dementia episodes and sundowning. The in house therapist were really good with my mom. Everyone was so helpful with figuring out a lot of the small things I had never thought of. The hospice group they work with is good as well (ACG hospice)

The initial process of touring/getting in was perfection. From the Marketing Director to the Homestead team, every need appeared to be met. Move in went very well. There have been some hiccups once the honeymoon ended, which is why my rating is a 4 and not a 5. Those who excel truly excel- Homestead (especially [name removed]) and Careen. Those who are lackluster and whose info would have been helpful at the onset, not as much. Ultimately we are thankful my dad is safe while we continue to navigate my mother’s medical emergencies. We do hope for her to settle there with him when all balances out.

The therapy is very good. I came in with a broken hip and [name removed] was very helpful in getting me walking again. I'm now walking without a walker and I'm back to driving.

Senior Commons Memory Care is a clean, well-maintained facility where housekeeping and laundry staff are consistently visible and working hard. Staff are present, attentive, and aware of residents’ needs. The activities program in the memory care unit is excellent and goes above and beyond, keeping residents active and engaged. However, there are areas needing improvement around personal grooming and hygiene. Hair care, nail trimming, and routine shaving—especially for male residents—have been inconsistent. Residents cannot keep grooming items, and soap is not allowed in their bathrooms, which places added responsibility on families who cannot visit frequently. Clearer communication and more consistent staff support for daily personal care would greatly improve residents’ comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

I love the daily activities that are available. Not just fun things like the daily happy hour and games but lectures and learning opportunities to keep the residents' minds working.

There are some excellent people working there who are taking good care of my Mom and her advanced needs. We like her room and the facility. I believe there is a management change underway, which is worth keeping an eye on.

I have been here over a year. I have made lots of friends. Everyone is pleasant and wonderful. I enjoy exercise daily games, special events. The live entertainment is enjoyable for personal care and memory care.

What I like is the value for the money we pay. The Manor is affordable without feeling cheap. My mom is settling in and doesn't complain about everything.

Although Mom's stay was only nine days, they were very happy to accommodate her. She was a little lonely, but also too shy to socialize. This was new to her of course, and from her comments I am not looking forward to the time when her stay has to be permanent. Overall, I am happy they took care of her!

Very comfortable surroundings. Well maintained facility, clean and up to date. Very competent staff, friendly and genuinely interact with and care about each and every resident. Adequate leisure time activities for entertainment and physical fitness.

The staff is excellent and goes above and beyond. The partnership with Chestnut Knoll is one of the key reasons we are there. The opportunity to have my dad be in independent living, but also have medication assistance is perfect. I also have the peace of mind knowing that if he needs additional services down the road, they are available. The reason I am not giving it a 5 is the aged decor. I believe they are actually doing some remodeling soon and that would probably bring it up to a 5. My dad's only other complaint is that he is not always a fan of the food. But my dad was at [community removed] briefly, before going to Keystone Villas. And that place had amazing food!

Pro: vast majority of staff are caring, polite, and patient. The place is new, just 1 1/2 years old. It's kept clean and orderly. Cons: the food is horrible and portions are small and not nutritionally balanced. There send to be a lot of staff turnover. understand these 2 issues to be be common among assisted living facilities.

Heritage Green encourages double occupancy rooms which can be difficult. The rooms are small, and therefore crowded; especially with wheelchairs or other necessities. Memory care (my stepmom) is highly recommend. Assisted Living (father) is moderate recommendation.

A top-notch facility with a caring staff. A large variety of activities for the residents, both internal and external. Very happy my mother is able to live here. The food quality can certainly improve.
