We were referred this community from A Place for Mom and toured it. It's very nice and I would have picked it for my father. We toured other communities and he decided on something else. All in all, it was a pleasant experience with Chancellor's village.

The decision to place a family member in memory care is painful, difficult and comes with many emotions - anxiety, sadness, guilt. My family and I cared for my mother in her home for many years but the time came when we could not provide the proper personal care. The responsibility to continue a good quality of life for our mother caused much stress to all of us. After visiting numerous memory care facilities, I decided on Chestnut Knoll for my mother who suffered from Alzheimer’s. She lived at Chestnut Knoll for a little less than a year. Considering my mother’s disease and how it progressed, The Chestnut Knoll team provided excellent care and a good quality of life for her. She had opportunities at Chestnut Knoll that she did not have being at home. My mother participated in Fox Rehab services, many activities and had opportunity to socialize with other residents. She also enjoyed the live entertainment provided monthly. Chestnut Knoll facility is modern, well laid-out, in a quiet corner of Boyertown. The facility offers a nice, warm and comfortable living environment. The memory care unit is secure but does provide opportunities for residents to enjoy the outdoors in the patio or garden areas. The staff is well-trained. The caretakers are friendly and full of compassion and support for the residents. The staff encouraged my mother to be as independent as possible when that was an option, especially in regards to participating in activities. I visited often and was kept informed with all aspects of my mother’s care. I enjoyed interacting with the residents and staff as they all became part of my family. Also, I was impressed that the administration and nursing staff was so active in providing direct services to residents. They know the residents well and treat them like family. The entire staff was very loving and supportive with my mother up to her final days when we brought hospice care in for her. This allowed us to care for her in a comfortable setting instead of moving her to a different facility. I would recommend Chestnut Knoll Memory Care to anyone who has a family member with dementia, Alzheimer’s or any memory care needs. Thank you Chestnut Knoll for loving my mother.

My father is happy at this community. We have found the stasff to be very nice and caring to his needs. The community is clean and well taken care of. The meals are healthy and a nice variety. He is enjoying the activities that are offer. We would highly recommend this community to other families.

We fell in love with Heritage Green! We had a wonderful, informative tour and left feeling very confident that we have found the best place for my Mother-In-Law. We learned from [Removed] that there had been a re-model, and we saw what a wonderful transformation had occurred when we toured. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the residents seemed genuinely at ease and happy. We feel we have found a place with a family atmosphere that is not far from our own home. We will be speaking with my mother-in-law this weekend to share what we have found. We are excited about the possibilities!

My mother [Removed] had been a resident at Chestnut Knoll for the past ten year in the Evergreen unit. I have nothing but high praise for the people and especially the care staff at Chestnut Knoll. The peace of mind that it gave me knowing that my mother was in such good and caring hands made the transition for not only her but our family so much better. Ten years is a long time for a resident in a dementia / alzheimers unit, the staff became like family with the knowledge and care they gave my mom. I am grateful for all they did. I have nothing but good things to say about Chestnut Knoll and will be forever thankful for the care they gave my mom.

APlace for Mom was a big help in finding assisted living Places for my Mom. The Staff at Manor at Market Squaw have really been great,willing to work with me over finances for my Mom's care. They have made my Mom's transition from home to assisted living. Without too much emotional distress for my Mom.

The facility & staff are excellent. They take care of all of my wife's needs to keep her safe and happy and content. I am very satisfied with the Birches and have said that if I die I know that my wife will be take care of. Again I can't say enough about the birches, and staff from top to bottom. They are all excellent and caring. Thanks for caring!

My mother has been a resident of Heritage Green Assisted Living for almost 2 weeks. So far everyone has been very friendly and welcoming. The meals she is being served are awesome. There has been entertainment just about everyday since she has been there, which has made this transition easier for her. Her bed is made and the bedroom, bathroom and facilities are very clean. The nursing staff has gone above and beyond to make her feel welcome and make sure her needs have been met. I am very happy with the decision we have made as a family to move her to Heritage Green.

We are pleased with the care my father has been receiving from the caregivers in this community. The place is very clean and organized. My husband and brother in law have tried the meals here and said they are very good. They have a large variety of activities available which is great. We are very happy.

I couldn't have asked for a better "home" for my mother. The staff was not only caring and friendly but accommodating to my mother's needs. From our initial meeting to consider the facility through my mother's short residency, I was impressed by the staff's commitment to the well-being of the residents, the welcoming and happy environment and the daily programs that were offered. I would not hesitate to recommend The Crossings At Bon Air and can't than them enough for such a positive experience. Susan Coppage with a Place for Mom, was more than helpful in helping us find this wonderful facility as well as [Removed] for her coordination with my mother's transition to The Crossings. There are not enough words to express my gratitude for the care my father receives at The Birches. His journey has been one of many health concerns and each time our family works through the process of dad's decline The Birches have been proactively supporting us while caring for his needs. This thank you and recognition goes specifically to the nursing staff at The Birches. While our family was dealing with another one of those moments with dad, one of the many caring nurses communicated with our dad in such a caring way. Yes, she recognized our presence but most important she stood by him, spoke directly to him, and reassured him directly so not to minimize his importance. Dad may be declining but at The Birches he not only receives care he receives dignity. Thank you to each and every person who works at The Birches you are truly a caring team and you are all appreciated.

I moved my mom and dad to the Birches across the country to Pennsylvania. My mother's illness was much more advanced than originally thought. I was having issues getting feedback from the hospital once she was admitted. The staff at the Birches helped me and also advise me on the next steps when my mother needed to be admitted to hospice. I brought my father home for a couple of days so we can deal with my mother's hospital/hospice stay together. One staff member was so worried to see my father leaved and was very concerned he wasn't happy with his care. My father assured him that we had tough decisions ahead and needed to be around family for a couple of days. My father loved the staff there and they treated him very well.

My parents are both here. This is a nice community, but it is not home. I do like the staff who are always helpful and caring to there needs. They do have activities when they are wanting to participate. The food does need some small improvements. This is close by in my area so that I can visit often. I hope they feel at home here soon, but I dont think i could of found a better place for the care and the value.

My mother has been a resident in the memory care center for a few months now. The staff is always interacting with her. Every staff member that I pass is friendly and polite. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. I am very happy that she is a resident there. It's good to know that she is being taken care of.

The first experience that I had with Heritage Green was when my stepmom lived there due to Alzheimer's. The staff were all experienced with the treatment and care of someone with Alzheimer's. They truly treated her with dignity and always made her feel like a lady. The Alzheimer's unit was always clean, bright and cheerful. My father visited her daily and became very close with the staff. Knowing the extreme loss and sadness my father felt after her passing, Chris (the director) asked if he would like to volunteer a couple of days a week. Thanks Chris!!! Dad became a visual presence, greeter, visitor to the other clients there, but mostly he had purpose in life again and formed loving relationships with the whole staff. A few years after the passing of Marian, Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. My sister and I couldn't have had a better support system!! In a week he was now living at Heritage Green. Dad received EXCELLENT care by all. His room and bathroom were cleaned daily. His laundry done when needed. Someone would take him to his doctor appointments if my sister or I couldn't. He loved it there. He felt like he was home. My sister and I were always kept up to date on everything that was going on with him. Every caregiver made sure that we were included with his care. Dad transitioned there surrounded by all of the people he loved. He always wanted to transition at home and he did! If you are looking for a clean and loving home for your loved one where they will be treated with dignity, caring, love and eat great food, Heritage Green IS the place. I can't thank them enough for what they did for my dad in his final months or how much they helped my family. I LOVE Heritage Green and ALL of the loving and caring people there. And yes, they became my family too!

Heritage Green Assisted Living Facility has been a blessing from God that has enabled my mother to transition to being a widow after the death of my father, whom she was married to for over 65 years. We have passed the 1 year anniversary move-in and now have a core understanding of how the facility works. The building is always clean, does not smell of urine or disinfectant either. It smells like any home would that is well maintained- clean and fresh. Safety is always a priority and we never worry about if our mother is not being cared for, accounted for and comfortable. She is always happy and engaging in the various daily activities from spiritual to recreational (even though she has been diagnosed with moderate dementia). The people working there are now a part of our family and I can't imagine this season of life without their knowledge, support, attention to detail and love. The price is definitely comparable if not slightly more affordable than several other AL facilities in the surrounding counties. Mother is well fed, appropriately given medicines and healthcare each day consistently. The family is notified in a reasonable time period whenever a concern arises. The marketing director is a delight and diligently worked to ensure that mother would be comfortable with this move and continues to stay in touch with my family. Three main priorities for our family when surveying facilities were that mother would be safe, cared for in a loving environment, and that she would be comfortable living out the remaining years God gives her---we have found the perfect place for her at Heritage Green.

Heritage Green has a home-like feel that really made the adjustment for my father so much easier. The friendly staff and variety of activities keeps him more active and socially involved than he was living alone in his own home. He constantly raves about the "great meals" and how "nice everyone is." I have noticed a marked improvement in his temperament since he has resided at Heritage Green. I definitely recommend Heritage Green to any senior needing quality care and living assistance.

Excellent facility, just what we are looking for. Only exception is, many units have bath tubs and not step in showers. I was given a rough estimate of $3000 to convert the shower which I think is way too much considering a $50k membership fee. Monthly fees seem reasonable and in line with other facilities, however the non refundable membership fees seem very high.

As a healthcare provider in the area, I have the privilege of visiting numerous facilities in the greater Richmond area. I frequently get asked "where would I move my parents if they needed assisted living?" Heritage Green would be on the top of the list for several reasons. First and foremost are the employees that treat the residents like part of the family. The facility is a good size as everyone knows each other and it does not feel institutional at all. Heritage green does a great job with activities that interest the residents. Once the renovation is complete, this will also be one of the best facilities in terms of rooms and amenities. I recommend anyone that is looking at alfs to visit Heritage Green.
