We chose Traditions of Hershey because of the convenience to family, availability, and the price was great. We were just impressed with the overall facility itself and the staff members. The apartment sizes are very roomy and have a lot of storage space. They offer a lot of activities for the residents to participate in. My dad loves the food and a couple residents said it is the best that they have had out of any place they have been. They provide free moving which is amazing, the guys who did the moving made the whole transition unbelievably easy. I would highly recommend to others looking.

We toured this community and the tour was good. The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions.

Safe and secure, spotlessly clean, warm and caring staff, vibrant atmosphere and a deep sense of community. It doesn’t get better than Traditions. We moved my healthy and very independent 98-year-old mom into Traditions several weeks ago. She had been living alone for the last 40 years but the loneliness and trauma of 2020 set her back mentally and physically. She has only been at Traditions for a month but what a change! She is back to her old self again :) She is very happy and so am I!

We toured The Crossings at Bon Air and really liked it. It was clean, everyone was friendly, and from the calendar that we saw it looked like they provided a lot of good activities. I would not have hesitated to put my mom in this facility.

The staff is very knowledgeable and will answer any questions you may have and make you feel like family. Communication is good between the staff and our family. They do a wonderful job keeping us informed and i would recommend this community based on my experience.

I have been so pleased with everything that is Chestnut Knoll. They have made my Father feel at home and really like he is part of the Chestnut Knoll family. The staff at all levels is super attentive and really have a "can do" attitude. The communication channels are great and they have kept me personally up to speed on the changing rules and regulations. The food is great and even in these COVID times they have managed to keep my Father active and engaged. I could not have made a better choice and have never second guessed my decision. I would recommend Chestnut Knoll to anyone who is looking for that next safe haven for their loved one

I really liked it here. The size of the rooms was larger than most I had seen or visited. I didn’t know if I wanted to put my loved one in the city, but I felt like it would have been a nice facility for him. This was my favorite of all the ones I visited in the area. We ended up keeping him in his home state instead of moving him here to Pennsylvania.

If you are looking for a place for a loved one take time to tour Chesntut Knoll. Our Mom has been in their Memory Care for three years and is thriving. The facility itself is clean, bright and layed out beautifully. The activities that the staff plan for the residents keep them engaged throughout the entire day and evening and also take them on off site trips which they love. I cannot say enough about all of the staff and management. The staff is like a family. They will know your loved one as an individual and all of your family as well. They love what they do. They communicate quickly and professionally. There was no greater example than during this last year of COVID. We knew our mom was safe and happy and peace of mind is what family needs most. If you are struggling to make a move with a loved one with memory issues, take time to visit Chestnut Knoll. Its a hard step to make but one you will not regret. Kim Christman

We were really impressed with the community, and the director as well. They showed us quite a lot on the tour, and explained everything well. The location was favorable to where we live. Our only issue came down to personal preference - we just found them too big, without the cozy/homey feel we were looking for.

We chose Keystone Villa because it seemed that we would get the most for the price. She was able to get a 1 bedroom apartment with a kitchenette. They do send newsletters and do phone calls so they are good with communication. We just got to the point where we are able to finally visit her in her apartment. It has been a good experience and I would recommend to others looking.

I would highly recommend Heritage Green. Facility is nice, clean and the staff has a great attitude.

We were very pleased with our experience with Traditions of Hanover. We chose this facility because of the sense of community and the friendliness of the staff members. They were very good with communication to both my mother in law and to us. When she needed to transition to hospice, they were extremely helpful and caring throughout that process. I would absolutely recommend them.

Are you looking for a friendly place with a family-like atmosphere for yourself or a loved one? If so, Chestnut Knoll is the perfect choice. Residents are well cared for and treated like family. The staff are caring, kind, compassionate folks. My aunt has been a resident for 3 years. I am so thankful she's at this safe amazing place. The facility is welcoming and very clean. The food is delicious. Great care is taken in both selection and preparation of each meal. The activities are varied and fun. So much effort is put into making sure everyone is involved and entertained. The Fox Therapy team, an exceptional part of what Chestnut Knoll has to offer, does remarkable work with the residents.

My wife suffered for many years with dementia and as her primary care giver I needed a respite. Chestnut Knoll was accommodating to my needs as far as duration rather than a 30 day minimum stay. From initial contact, to the care my wife received during the respite, I was convinced Chestnut Knoll would be where she should be when I could no longer care for her. She was admitted in [date removed] and the long term care admission process was handled efficiently and professionally. The entire staff from management to nursing to support are all professional, seriously caring people. The premises and accommodations are impeccably well maintained and clean. As my wife’s condition worsened, it was necessary to move her to Chestnut Knoll’s Hospice unit and again, the care, dignity, and compassion both she and I received during this difficult time was above and beyond expectations. I would highly recommend considering Chestnut Knoll in Boyertown for personal care, memory care and hospice care.

I gave her a year after my father passed to make the move not wanting to uproot her so soon after his death. I talked to marketing at a couple of places and got floor plans for her and she choose Senior Commons at Powder Mill. She had wanted to live in independent living in a two-bedroom apartment. In August she fell and we decided it would be best for her to move more quickly and not spend a winter alone in NC. What was available for her at the time was a two-room suite in assisted living. We took it and prior to her even going into the suite, my husband and I got her furniture situated so when she walked in, it looked like home. She was so comfortable there that she never went over to independent living. In the 7+ years that she was at Senior Commons, she was treated with respect and care. She never had an unkind word to say about any of the staff. The only complaint she had when she first arrived was there was too much salt in the food, and after a town hall meeting where it was brought up by several residents, that was rectified. As my mother was nearing end of life, I feel like the staff took me under their wing to make sure that both of us were comfortable. It was a difficult time and they helped me get through it. They became family. This year has been difficult for all. I can’t imagine what they have gone through, including employee turnover, COVID with the residents as well as staff, ability to care for everyone the way they would like. But through all the years and especially this one, the right decision was made for Mom to live out her life at Senior Commons. And I thank them for the care they have shown.

We chose Traditions of Lansdale because it was recommended to us and when I did talk to the staff members here, I had a lot of confidence they were doing things right at a good price. It is also in a good location for a lot of areas. I would recommend them to others looking.

You could not ask for a nicer and caring group who bend over backwards to assist you and your loved one. They allowed the family to come see our loved one during their transition during the pandemic. The staff were quick with forward thinking and to assist with any requests.

The staff at Traditions are doing an outstanding job at keeping my uncle adjusted to his new living circumstances. Not only are they concerned about his physical wellbeing but they have an engaging way of interacting with them, dealing with his current state of dementia, reassuring him, and keeping us in contact. In addition, the administrators, especially [name removed] have done much to guide my family, given us needed professional answers to questions that have challenged us in dealing with a new and difficult situation.

This building is bright, clean, well-staffed, and pleasant. Surrounding friendly and cheerful staff. The dining room has adequate seating and is nicely laid out. The menu is varied and the food delicious.
