I have had a parent at HERITAGE-Elm Grove for the past 1-1/2 yrs. The first 2 months were the best and it has definitely gone downhill since then. Apartment cleaning and Laundry are suppose to be done every week. It is once every 2-3 weeks. Most food is left on the residents plates and not eaten. Only a couple meals a week are appetizing. Keep hearing a new chef was hired but food hasn't gotten any better. Portions have gotten alot smaller. Activities/Outings have become less.A new Director started a year ago with alot of promises, but have not noticed any improvements. Just changed some decor on the walls. They go thru alot of Directors and employees for only being open a few years. Always short staffed. The building (foyer & hallways) itself are beautiful, nice, attractive and always seem to be clean but maybe they need to pay their workers a higher salary so they enjoy their jobs and don't leave.

Everyone was personable but it seemed forced, it seemed dark.

I visited with my dad April 15. My dad wasn't to excited to be there. I did not ask all the questions that I had asked facilities afterwards. We had visited mostly assisted living. They had us do a lot of walking and my 88 year old dad got tired. By the time we looked at memory care he was too tired to go on.

I moved into this community. The staff are nice and attentive. The menu could use some improvements. The community is clean, but could use alittle improvements. They offer activiites to help the residents. We would recommend that families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

I enjoy the activities for my mom and the staff make an effort to invite or encourage her. They have music performances, church gatherings, and they are doing a nice job with how they plan activities. The staff are very positive. We like that this community is active, that's important to us and she choose how active as she wants to be. The communication needs to be better which they are working on. Another is ensure that medications are given with plenty of water and food to not cause one to be uncomfortable.

I got referred to this community and it didn't work out for my dad. I thought they would be a good place for my dad but they weren't able to handle his extreme behavior. They seem to be good for someone who is not that bad with Alzheimer. However, the staff were nice and good. The community is beautiful and a really nice place.

I had a good tour of this community. It was a nice experience, and everyone was very kind to my family, and myself. The community looked good, everything appeared to be well maintained. The staff was kind, and friendly. There was many factors that played into where to place my parents. Unfortunately this was not the community for them, and their needs.

Mom has been at Heritage for a relatively short time. She has acclimated well and reports that the staff are wonderful and the food delicious! I have tasted the food myself and can attest to its being good! Everyone I have encountered from the front desk through to the the memory care area are friendly and seem attentive to the residents. Clothing is washed, often more than once a week, and returned to the room promptly.

The community at Heritage Middleton was a nice community. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They took the time to address all of our questions and concerns. The community could use a brighter paint palette. The hallways were too narrow and the overall feel was not what we wanted for our loved one.

We've had somewhat of a mixed experience with Heritage Court. Initially I would have rated the facility a 4, but after a recent change in mangement staff we've been running into some issues. The facility itself is clean and well kept, and the aide staff are hardworking and caring, and they're doing their best despite the disruptions caused by the management change. I also think the activities director does a great job. She's very energetic and obviously really cares about keeping the residents engaged and entertained! Despite all the hiccups caused by the management switch-over, I will say that they are very prompt and accommodating once you're able to bring an issue to their attention. It can take some work to find how to contact the right person, but the big issues we've had have gotten fixed.

At Heritage Court the director, nurse, and receptionist are a 10. As for the caregivers, they have never spoken to us. The staff said she was having trouble with her teeth. So I sent her to the dentist and they had to pull 4 teeth. Shortly after she got back she fell and broke her hip. So now I am paying extra for her to get more care since so many things kept happening. I am hoping things improve at this facility.

Lovely building, friendly staff. Facilities very new and shiny. Felt more like a hotel than a home. My visit was during quiet and rest time so not able to really judge on activities or food. It was only 1:00pm and dining room was already set for dinner - no one relaxing over a second cup of coffee.

There are some really good care givers and then some that are not so much. The reason I put my dad there is for his safety so I would not have to worry about him, and sometimes i still feel like I do. They are working on it though. I do feel like they need to have more direct oversight from the leadership. It would be good also if they had some kind of art therapy/activities for the memory care patients as that is supposed to be good for residents having memory issues. It is a nice place with nice staff, but these are a few areas where I personally feel that they could improve.

I toured here when I was looking for options. It seemed dark. There weren't really any activities going on. The staff didn't really seem that knowledgeable. This isn't something I think I would choose.

Though Heritage most likely provides great care it was a little too low key for what we are looking for.

In finding the perfect place for my Aunt, this facility is perfect. Having her room on second floor where both dining and activities are held is the perfect solution to minimize confusion in the transition. Also The Heritage is decorated warm and inviting, feels homey. The staff the works on the floor are friendly and fun. However, they are lacking in activities and communication. I am trying to encourage activities that would engage these citizens in meaningful rewarding projects. They have lost many things moving to these facilities, many still have much to give and life to enjoy.

I just think that they are understaffed and I know that they are new and getting up and running but there's not been great communication with the families. We're always kind of wondering if she's being looked after when she should be. It has gotten a lot better since she's been there but in the beginning that was concern. I think it's a nice facility. I think the people there, both the staff and the other residents, are very friendly. They do provide some nice activities for them to do so that's all good.

It's very nice - much bigger though and less homey feeling. I think it's just too big and I didn't get the warm fuzzies from the director, the person that gave me the tour, so that made a difference for me too. I asked to see it twice and I didn't feel like she wanted to give me another tour. It was like hurry up and make your decision kind of thing.

CNA staff trained in Alz care, RN full time business hrs on call weekends not able to handle any med care on site courtyard 25 spaces didn't tell me much about what they have now-just plans for near future as management is changing over summer and they will be adding stuff but don't know when 1/6-8 ratio, RN has phone contact with nearby clinic/Dr pressure alarms on chair and bed direct to staff VS loud beep eye-to-eye check every two hours min which she was proud of activities $4,300-4,700/mo 4 care levels-add $2,000 for each level needed up to 100hrs ????
