Heritage Senior Living

The activities are very good, and we like the staff as well as the director. The communication at this community is great. The rooms are very nice, and we would recommend this community to a family or friend.

We chose Heritage Middleton because of the friendliness of the staff members, quality of the care, as well as affordability. The room sizes here are average compared to other facilities that we looked into. I would want others to know that the director is an RN which I thought was nice, they were well staffed day and night, and the admissions director was very helpful. We did have hospice care here and the transition was very smooth. I would recommend.

Make sure to do your homework and visit more facilities to make sure you get the best place. I know covid is affecting everything. The facility is short-staffed, The room size is good-sized, and they have a whirlpool bathroom.

We chose Hertiage of Muskego because the staff members were friendly and helpful, the location, and what they said they had to offer. The room sizes here are adequate. My dad says the food is hit or miss, they have some selection but it would be nicer to have more variety. The staff is good, but communication could be better as far as what is going on inside the facility with all of the COVID stuff. I also wish they allowed more family visits, because I have not seen him since March. They are doing virtual visits, but he is not good at communication that way so it makes it hard.

It's a beautiful place and the staff is very friendly. However, I've had to make some phone calls to get things done that my Mother isn't able to do. She's asked but, it doesn't get done. I wish the staff could spend more one on one time with the residents especially during this time when they are on lock down. They come when called but, leave right away. My mother isn't able to walk & has to be pushed in a wheelchair. It would be nice for her to get out of her room once in a while.

The staff is very good. They are very genuine. They got to know the residents and their needs. I met with the Chef, he was very accommodating with allergies and food preferences. The room sizes were of a good size. They have walking paths and outdoor space for the residents to use.

The rooms are a good size. The community room had an awkward layout. The food was good. The chef was delightful and they really tried to please the residents. They have a is a small patio for outdoor space. It is very minimal. The staff was kind.

Four of us toured this facility and agreed, this is not the right fit for our mom. Nothing wrong with it, in fact it was really nice, but not what we were looking for

Facility is soon to be remodeling quite a bit to rearrange service areas to larger accommodations. May be disruptive. Staff seems pleasant.

My mom has been here for a while now and, while initially there was a lot of staff turnover and some deficiencies, things seemed to have settled down since the current Executive Director, [name removed] arrived. The facility itself is beautiful. We attributed some of the initial problems to the fact that the facility was new so we stuck with it and we are now fairly satisfied.

Only drawback is no religious services. All reviews were great. Clean, great staff, library, atrium, piano, organ, beauty salon, 24 hour awake staff. Looks good! Per [name removed]: they do have religious services! mass 3 xweek and rosary!

Beautiful brand new facility. Still doing finishing work. Welcoming foyer. No enhanced assisted living residents yet. Liked the generous studio rooms.

Staff was very pleasant and seemed to know all of the residents well. Comfortable environment and residents seemed very happy and engaged. I did not try the food. Rooms were sufficiently sized and priced fairly well. Not a lot of bells and whistles ( no pool or theater room) but a list of nice activities.

We think Heritage West Allis is a great place and the memory care facility is doing a great job for our cousin. However, trying to communicate with staff is next to impossible. I've left six or eight messages asking them to return a call and they have never responded. The only way is to keep calling and emailing and you finally get through. It's not a pleasant task.

The facility was large, beautiful and well-kept. Residents and staff all seemed happy and engaged us in conversation. We were there at lunch time so there was a lot of activity going on. The memory care area seemed large - I don't recall the number of residents. There was an odd smell only in this area and I'm not sure what it was - lunch, cleaning supplies or urine?

The staff seemed friendly & willing to help. All 36 rooms have a private bathroom with walk-in shower. Each room comes with a single bed, night stand and a dresser. A doctor or nurse practitioner comes once a week. They are working on getting a nurse on duty 24 hours a day. They do take "Family Care" so a resident does not need to move.

Clean facility, fairly well staffed but still long waits when help is needed. After my wife fell at the facility in the middle of the night they were very unwilling to share much information and refused to let me see their written incident report even though I was my wife POA.
