Very pleasant staff, but could have used more staff. When bathroom floor was dirty around toilet, it seemed to take until the next day to be cleaned. Husband was there during COVID, so activities weren't going on. Price seemed reasonable.

I was quite pleased with Heritage Muskegon. [name removed] was excellent, accommodating, and very professional. The facility was clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and I could see in the vast majority a true commitment to caring for the elderly. Nursing staff was great to work with. The fours that you see were primarily due to what I would consider a shortage of staff which is/was common at that time. This put added pressure on those who were there and as a result there were some minor gaps in care but certainly nothing significant. I can't imagine this wasn't true across the industry. Overall high mark's and highly recommended.

Majority of the staff was very friendly, but when it came to memory care and our loved ones health it was just not the right place for them. Overall the staff was always friendly and kind, but one nurse in particular was rude and very impatient with the residents, but there was some staff that was especially kind and caring were [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed]. When it came to memory care they wanted a quick fix, when what was needed was a little one-on-one time, patience, and a distraction. Meals always looked good and mom usually cleaned her plate. Not enough to keep the residents occupied/entertained. It would have been great for them to tell a story, read a book, sing songs, ask questions, etc. If there had been more activities planned and if the staff was better trained to work with memory care patients, it would have been better.

It's a very friendly place and very clean. They were very helpful answering any questions and things like that. The care was very good, and they did everything they were supposed to do.

My mom loved the food that they served and said everyone on staff was very friendly and welcoming to her. My mom is anxious/introverted so she did not participate in activities that they had provided.

This is a beautiful community. They are currently understaffed. The food has been inconsistent in flavor and quality. The staff are friendly, corporative to work with, and want to make it the best place it can be. There is light housekeeping, linen changes, laundry service, and meals that are included in the monthly fee. The community seems to be well maintained, and maintenance towards the resident's requests seem to be prompt. Crafts, exercise, flower arranging, library, private rooms for celebrations and more are some of the activities available for the residents to choose from.

The staffing was a little low due to the pandemic. They were able to follow through on most of the things they promised. The meals and set up was fantastic for dining. The staff were good at getting my loved one up each day. I wish the staff would have taken my loved one down to the dining room to eat. Some of the activities the community has available includes entertainment, games, singing, music, walks, car shows, religious services, and more for the residents to choose from.

The newer director [name removed] is starting to improve things, she is very receptive to comments and is working with our family. We do understand with covid it is harder for everyone, but sometimes when we would come to visit we could see care givers just hanging out on their phones and not really attending to the resident, which is where the lower value comes into play. The director [name removed] is really taking steps in the right directions, and we can see now where our expectations are being met.

The Heritage Monona community took really good of our loved one while she was there.

Heritage Monona seemed like a great facility, it was our 2nd choice. The reason we did not choose them was just due to the cost and it was not as homey as we were hoping for.

They are under new management and they are trying to do their best they can. I would recommend the community to others. The residents are provided three meals a day and snacks, with several choices for breakfast. Evening meal is a little less fancy.

I would recommend you consider this community for your loved one. Overall the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness, and care all stand out to me. The community does a good job in offering activities daily for the residents to participate in.

Heritage is a very nice looking facility. [name removed] was helpful during the tour. There was a bit of confusing communication as I wanted to tour both assisted living and independent living. [name removed] gave us a tour of the assisted living section and a little bit of the independent living although we were unable to view an apartment.

Felt like a big hotel and not as friendly environment. Best room with a separate bedroom, large living room and kitchen space but they would be on the 2nd floor without views of green space and didn’t like the feel of hallway and elevator outside their room.

Overall it's been a positive experience for my loved one. The covid restrictions have made it harder to . The dining room is starting to reopen for the residents. The meals look appetizing. The food has been being delivered to the resident's rooms.

We did a virtual tour with Heritage Middleton. We were thinking about this facility, but the 2 bedroom apartment that we were wanting actually got taken while we were considering it and the price here was also higher than some others we saw, so we did not choose them.
