Heritage Senior Living

We have just moved my Father here (about 2 weeks ago). The employees were great with helping us get everything set up, answering questions, and doing a lot of the leg work to get my dad moved with-in a short time frame. They are friendly and take time to get to know the residents and talk to them. The facilities look to be fairly new so they are in great condition.

Heritage Middleton is just a wonderful community. It is very clean and the staff are just genuinely good people. I am very pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone searching for a community for their loved one.

We chose this location because of the convenient location for our family. When we went to visit we were very pleased. The staff is really friendly and seems to know everyone. It has a more of an apartment community feeling rather then an institution. There is no odor and doesn't smell like an elderly home care center. They have lots of activities and a good variety to keep those that wish to participate busy. We are very pleased with Heritage Monoma.

We visited Heritage Manola when we were looking for communities, we were very happy with this community and everything it offers. The only draw back is that they did not have immediate availability. We needed to move in right away so we had to choose a different community but this would have been a great choice too. They offer independent, assisted, and skilled nursing areas. Their apartments have a full kitchen so the residents can cook on their own, but if they choose not to they can also just order from the restaurant style kitchen.

The community is very clean it provides a very home like feeling. It is very personable and we felt it was a good fit for my parents. It is very conveniently located to lots of different shopping and things to do. It is also located in the really nice part of town. When you pull off the main road the driveway is lined with trees on both sides. Then when you arrive there is one part that is lined with trees and has a natural preserve. This community has a very scenic feel to it. The staff was very impressive, especially Ben Petterson he could not have done a better job answering all my questions. I would recommend this community to anyone that is looking for a community for their loved ones.

Lovely, new facility. Seems to have plenty of activities and coverage. They do have openings now.

We toured 5 different facilities and chose Heritage Middleton because of the very nice interaction with the employee who called us. Also, the Heritage is almost brand new, it is very nice looking and inviting. It seems they offer quite a few activities but it is too soon to be able to accurately rate them.

Don't push activities remind you but don't push. They don't have an orientation plan for new residents. I had to figure everything out for myself.

What we like the most about the community is the friendliness of administrative staff and patience of care staff. I know my mother-in-law would have liked for her bed to be made daily.

Generally the support is good. Every now and then there a slips in support and that varies by staff member and staffing levels. Overall I am comfortable we found the best available space in our area. It has been nice to see the community welcome my loved one and provide many opportunities for social interaction at meal and entertainment events.

Overall, the facility provided a clean, safe, and supportive environment for [Name Removed] during a very difficult transition. One of the strongest aspects of the care was the OT, PT, and speech therapy staff — I would rate them a 10. They helped [Name Removed] navigate her situation successfully and ultimately return home with supervision from me. The facility was consistently clean, which helped avoid the urine odors I have experienced in other nursing homes. The open layout and airy walking areas also contributed to a safer and more comfortable atmosphere. The rooms included the basics such as a bed, dresser, and nightstand. I would recommend families bring additional comfort items like night lights, a laundry basket, clock, chair or small couch, and a shower chair. The facility also allows dorm-size refrigerators, which was helpful. Clothing should be labeled since the facility provides laundry service. One area that needs improvement is the food program. In my opinion, the food quality relies too heavily on low-cost ingredients. While nutritional requirements may technically be met, quality and taste also affect overall health and well-being. My daughter, who has worked as a nutrition specialist in a nursing home, agreed that nutrition standards may be satisfied, but better quality meals would make a meaningful difference for residents. I also believe basic cable TV and internet should be included for residents. Another benefit of this location was its proximity to [Name removed' doctors, which reduced travel time and made coordinating care much easier.

Memory care is good and slightly less expensive than other places. Good activities. Comfortable dining rooms are a smaller intimate experience. Good communication. Many extra charges over the monthly rent. Overall a good choice.

The place is clean and pretty and the staff is always nice Seems short on help sometimes

I would rate it as a four and the best thing was that my mom could have her dog the one thing that I did not like was there has been a lot of turnover which I think is kind of normal in that industry. I would recommend it. My mom likes it, so that's a win!

The place was clean and safe appearing. need to see an assisted living apartment to give full opinion (only saw independent apartment).

I would give Heritage West Allis 4. [name removed] was very helpful. We were able to place my mother-in-law within weeks. Move in went smoothly.

I like that the floor plans were the same in both assisted living and memory care for ease of transition. I found the atmosphere a bit sterile. I saw a few staff members sitting and on their phones while waiting for residents trickling in for lunch. When I asked about a gluten free diet, I was told that if a resident didn’t want the main dish being served, they could always order a chef salad (this was the response twice). Overall, it appeared friendly and clean, but probably not what my loved one needs.

Room size was great for her and cleanliness was good. Staff activities was more than adequate, varied and often customized for individuals. Meals were satisfactory but several times the food was not warmed or chilled properly. The trays were prepared well in advance and stored in insulated compartments for 1- 1 1/2 hours before serving. Staffing was often short. On several occasions, in her short, stay I had to visit the administrative office to report that staff would not answer her room request for assistance. The administrator assured that they would attend to this problem but... The medical staff were very responsive and professional when I met with them weekly. Overall the experience was good with the exception of short staffing.

I would say a 41/2 because nothing is perfect but pretty darn good. Very clean place , staff is helpful and always say hello. The room size was very nice and private. Activities are everyday which is nice for people and gives them different choices if you don't like one try another. Dad lived with us for 6 months , we realize with a place like heritage it would have been better for him to go there. It was a really good choice for us.

Was some lack of communication initially as when shower day and wash days are from staff. Many activities and good staff to initiate. Housekeeping every week does good. Food 75%. Monthly meeting for complimentary and complaining. Replacing some furniture that is necessary. Accepts requests. Showers would be better if larger. Content to live here.
