The facility is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and their meal plan is great. There are a lot of activities there, such as - bingo, musicians who visit periodically, visiting speakers, movie nights a couple times per week, and a lot more. The community also comes with a bistro bar on the second floor, a deck for the outside area, a kitchenette that's open for friends and families to bake cookies or host a family gathering, and a library with a nice dining room table to gather if you want to bring in food. I think that the caregivers are really sweet and nice. It's really a beautiful facility; the building itself is rather prairie style with lots of wood and stone. It's very pretty that way and looks attractive. They allow pets with an extra fee, including dogs (under the condition that you can take care of your dog). Although there are not too many residents who have pets that I've seen. They offer physician services if you choose to use them as your primary care physician - which is handy for prescriptions, etc.. There's a memory care unit attached, so it would be easy to transition if your loved one needs too. That's nice because it can be discombobulating moving from one facility to another. My loved ones apartment comes with a kitchenette that includes a large fridge, cabinet space, a sink, and room for a microwave; there's no stove or oven. The living room is spacious and has a nice window overlooking the courtyard. The bedroom is separate and has a large closet and another window overlooking the courtyard. The bathroom is spacious with a walk in shower and grab bars where needed. The hallway closet is also quite spacious and can be used for storage and outerwear. She also has a very nice sized cabinet in the bathroom. It's the perfect amount of space for her level of mobility. Some of the places we looked at had a larger outdoor area for residents to garden and be outside, whereas there's no space like that at Heritage. But I'm still happy with it. My mom is pretty fussy about things and although its not her home, she likes it just fine and she says they treat her nicely. I would recommend Heritage Elm Grove to others.

We were coming out of state and my daughter toured a few places. Heritage Court had a room open up at the right time. We liked their ability to talk about what they like to do with the residents. The staff have been pretty good with communication with the families. On the weekends there are not many activities going on so they are a little slow. Overall I would recommend them to others looking for memory care for their loved ones.

Heritage Court was one of the few places that responded to our phone calls in a timely manner, other communities never even called us back. That set off a good first impression. We have not been there for meal time yet, but our loved one is eating well so we have to assume the meals are good, and they have a lot of activities for the residents to get involved in.

We chose Heritage Court because I got more of a comfortable feeling when I toured it. The room sizes at the facility are adequate for what we need it for. I would recommend to others looking.

They have started to resume their inside activities, and what they are offering the residents are enjoying. If anything happens to our loved one for example if they fall, they call us immediately with updates. If we ever have to call with questions they are so responsive which is huge. Everyone there is awesome, but the two nurses our family speaks with are just amazing, they really go above and beyond.

The food is terrible and it needs improvement.

Everything so far is going pretty well. She seems very happy with it. She hasn't complained about the food at all. We were all impressed on how much she has improved after leaving the nursing home. Everyone is pleased with the staff. They offer a lot of activities, that people don't have to go to, but surprisingly my loved one goes to quite a few of them. The personnel there have always seemed to be very helpful, they are consistent and attentive. Overall we are pleased with it, and we were happy with the rooms, we found them to be slightly more spacious than a lot of other places, and the price sounds to be about average. The look and the feel of the facility is comfortable, it's got wide hallways, and the front lobby is appealing and everything. The staff doesn't just say hi, they call everyone by name, which I thought was really impressive.

The property is very nice. It's comfortable, pleasant. The people who work there, including the waitresses and everybody, are always friendly. It's very clean. She is getting the care she is paying for. The only care services she really gets is her medication, which is given to her. She has a button she can use to communicate if she has an emergency. The location is wonderful. For the family to get there. she banks at a certain bank, and they are building one right there. It's a nice, pleasant neighborhood. For activities, I know that she does chair yoga and bingo. She hasn't actually been there more than a month and a half. We're still in the early stages of evaluating them.

So are things have been positive, while my mother isn't happy about being here, she always says that the people here are really nice.

Move-in date two weeks ago: My mother loves the place we found for her at Heritage - Elm Grove. She enjoys being pampered, and is eating three meals a day, which was hard for her to do before. She is able to keep her cat, who has adjusted nicely too! Being in a new 1-bedroom unit means a lot to her.

This is a brand-new facility that is beautifully appointed. It offers "enhanced assisted living" apartments which offers more care than a regular assisted living facility, and was exactly what we were looking for. My parents moved into Heritage Elm Grove the first week it opened so with any new place there are some hiccups that occurred. Their wing of the facility is sparsely occupied as the place ramps up so the dining room is very empty, and activities are few or are on a different floor. However, we realize that they need to take it slow as they start filling the other units to ensure that they are staffed properly. The caregivers are wonderful and my father has said that "they take good care of mom." I can see that my father has a good rapport with some of the regular caregivers when I have been there for a visit. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. I believe it will come along as they grow into themselves. The location is great and the setting is quiet and it is nice having some greenspace around the building.

We have been there a little over a month. We were very impressed during the tours. We feared a rough transition, based on an experience we had with a different facility two years previous. However, the nurse recommended that we give him some time to settle in before we visited, and had some different approaches, like if we were visiting, and he needed something to ask the staff so he could used to the idea of doing that. When we went to visit, our family saw he was much more peaceful than he had been either at home or in a different facility two years earlier. Things seem less stressed, he's calmer. He is getting good care, there is always staff around, they are walking around and checking in. The staff to patient ratio is really good. They know what the residents likes and dislikes are. They seem to understand that the residents react differently to different situations and that different solutions work for different people. They are really tuned into the concept of giving individual attention. There are times that the caregivers are overloaded but there has never been anything serious to worry or complain about. It always looks nice and is very attractive. The staff and management is always very friendly. They have a lot of planned activities, and they have a lot of community outreach. People seem happier there than other places we looked at. The dining room is cheerful, and the menu looks pretty good. I think we made a good choice with this community. All in all it's been a really good thing, we have some peace of mind now.

So far, this experience has been favorable. The thing to remember is that these residents have needs, and those needs can be difficult to deal with. I was not too impressed with the frequency of cleaning days. I think it could be cleaned more often. Also, I can't complain about the care, since it's a huge responsibility. My loved ones are reluctant to participate in the activities, but they offer a sufficient amount of options. As far as the food, they offer at lead 2 entree options for each meal, and there's unlimited portions. Overall, it's not perfect, but it's a work in progress.

The staff here are wonderful. They're very responsive to families, and they really want to ensure that they treat all their residents as individuals. They encouraged us to decorate Dad's apartment how we wanted, so that he would feel at home. We also like that it has an enclosed inner courtyard so that Dad will be able to go outside, but still be secure. They also invite families to use it for barbecues and outside events whenever they'd like! The food here is also very good! Overall Dad is very happy and content, and is really enjoying being in such a social atmosphere. The only complaint I have is that at times there can be a strong odor in the common areas, which I know can be hard to avoid.

Overall with the Heritage I've been happy. I really love the atmosphere it is nicely decorated. He has a great rapport with the staff. The food would be a three, it's kind of a little bland. I think in the actual lunchroom itself needs some overall ambiance, and some music in the lunchroom, something he can really look forward to when going to the lunchroom, maybe some low symphony music or something that gears to an older audience. A Place For Mom was a great help, I told Dominic what I wanted and he found it. I said I wanted something really snazzy and new. It was new and when you first walked up it had a water fountain, and a fireplace inside, and it was nice. We are happy with it.

We have just moved my Father here (about 2 weeks ago). The employees were great with helping us get everything set up, answering questions, and doing a lot of the leg work to get my dad moved with-in a short time frame. They are friendly and take time to get to know the residents and talk to them. The facilities look to be fairly new so they are in great condition.

Heritage Middleton is just a wonderful community. It is very clean and the staff are just genuinely good people. I am very pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone searching for a community for their loved one.

We chose this location because of the convenient location for our family. When we went to visit we were very pleased. The staff is really friendly and seems to know everyone. It has a more of an apartment community feeling rather then an institution. There is no odor and doesn't smell like an elderly home care center. They have lots of activities and a good variety to keep those that wish to participate busy. We are very pleased with Heritage Monoma.

We visited Heritage Manola when we were looking for communities, we were very happy with this community and everything it offers. The only draw back is that they did not have immediate availability. We needed to move in right away so we had to choose a different community but this would have been a great choice too. They offer independent, assisted, and skilled nursing areas. Their apartments have a full kitchen so the residents can cook on their own, but if they choose not to they can also just order from the restaurant style kitchen.
