Under Staffed but very friendly. Not an appropriate facility for anyone needing additional supervision. Pretty facility, well located. Nice rooms, with many activities.

The fact that they claimed to be effective in their care of these types of residents. That all changed once he was in and we found out they were not equipped nor had the knowledge and experience to deal with our father. I would not recommend unless your loved one is at a point in their disease that they are so medicated they don't know any better. I could write a book of our struggles and non of it good. The simple fact that all of these institutions have the right to toss someone aside because they are ill equipped to deal with let's say difficult individuals or individuals that need a little socializing. I'm confident that most want a resident that is A. Highly medicated or B. Sits in a chair all day and either sleeps or watches tv.

We were sold because of the song and dance the salesman gave us. He pranced the activity director in who went on and on about her wonderful activity program. This has been the biggest disappointment ever! Very sad activity program. He was a true salesman and got us on the song and dance. On a happy note nursing had been great and food pretty good.

Things started out good but they started to decline quite rapidly. They had huge turnover. Some of the meals were absolutely gross some were not designed for elderly people in walkers.

Unfortunately, the head person let good people go and it never was the same. My family member had, on more than one occasion, had three men enter his apartment after 10:30 at night to "get his laundry" and he never felt safe and refused to let anyone (staff) in his apartment and took on his own laundry and cleaning. The administrator said he suffered from hallucinations, which he never had on his life!! NOTHING was done!!! No communication with family either!! Disappointing! I would not put anyone back there! Having said that....other residents were great....but just as unhappy!

We have been with Terra Bluffs a little over two months. In the time our loved one has been there we have had numerous issues with the basic running of their memory care. Staff turnover is extremely high, they are always low on staff, food availability has been an issue, and there have been medication issues. We keep trying to give them the benefit of being a new place, but are beginning to wonder if things will improve.

My mom loves the wooded views and it is beautiful! She has made some good friends here but I am so disappointed in the poor management. Management is always gone. Very poor communication. My mom said they are used to it and if they need something they ask the housekeeper to get it done. This really is unsettling to think the housekeepers is who they have to depend on.

They said they had Activities, but they didn't. The food was edible, but nothing exceptional. Housekeeping was non existent, I cleaned the room myself. Communication was good. I have since taken her OUT of there and placed her somewhere else. Unless the staff has drastically changed, I would NOT recommend this place.

There are staffing issues there. My dad has recently passed away, and I have tried calling the director left messages and she hasn't called back. I have heard nothing from them. My family and I have cleaned out his room. I wouldn't recommend apple creek to anyone until they get the staffing issues resolved.

My loved one is currently a resident at Kruse Village. Most of the staff are friendly, but they appear to be understaffed. The facility, at first appearance, is neat and clean. However, my loved one's bathroom is not as clean as I feel it should be. Communication with the family is non-existent unless I initiate it. The move in process went very smoothly. I am very disappointed in the appearance, taste and temperature of the meals. Medications have also been an issue, as far as my loved one getting them in time and also meds being re-ordered in a timely manner so as not to run out.

My mom said the food is bad. They have NO activities except for bingo sometime. I would say you get what you pay for however they raised my moms fees from [fee removed] to [fee removed] a month and it is not that nice of a facility. They said they did it to everyone and had to to be competitive. That rate is sickening with no activities.

Their staff to resident ratio is not adequate. The training they provide the caregivers is not sufficient. Their end of life care knowledge is also lacking. Based off of our families personal experience here, we would not recommend Stoney River to others.

We toured Country Manor Memory Care during our search for a Memory Care Facility for our loved one. This facility was less expensive than some of the other facilities in our area. However, it was in need of updates and repairs. We decided to continue on with our search.

Food is mainly deep fried and lots of carbs. Not enough fresh fruits and vegetables. Menu is not diabetic friendly. Menu offerings should be expanded. Evening night staff is unsatisfactory. Residents cannot communicate with many of them. Often they are chatting with each other, on their cell phones and ignoring residents. Residents who need wheelchair assistance off and sit in the dining room for an hour or more waiting for an aid to come and get them back into their rooms. Residents push their call buttons over and over and over. Again waiting for help. On the weekends, there is no one at the front desk. So people and visitors coming to visit. Others are stuck. Trying to figure out what to do and where to go. Often times when friends and family try to call the front desk. No one answers the phone for hours on end during the week. Communication overall is awful at Edencrest in Johnston Aides need to have their cell phones taken away during working hours. Aides need serious training on building relationships with residents through kindness, respectful communication and compassion. Perhaps they need incentives to meet and exceed goals of engagement and resident care and support. Currently, residents are not getting the assistance that they are paying for each month. I think the problem lies at the top management at Jaybird Senior Living facilities. I think the facility directors want to make changes but hands are tied by upper management and proper budget isn't provided to make improvements. The activity director is really abrasive and not very creative in coming up with activities that really engage people. Her activity room is a disorganized disaster zone. It always looks like a tornado went through it. She should be replaced with someone who really loves the job. [name removed] just doesn't have what it takes to put smiles on residents faces. Activities and her attitude is so ho-hum. She can sometimes be disrespectful. To make sure long days include ever changing activities that attracts and encourages people to try new things.

Mom was placed right before Covid hit so in their defense they couldn't leave the property and we were not allowed to go in. We would conduct visits through the window. Mom has dementia so she was really confused and couldn't understand why we didn't visit. What little activities they did have they didn't encourage Mom to join in.. If she said no they just left it at that. She gained 50 pounds while she was there. On the bright side the aides were very pleasant and seemed to treat Mom with respect. I have moved Mom to a memory care here in Florida since I'm here full time and my sister is here 7 months out of the year. She is much happier and is involved in many activities.

My husband who is a resident here doesn't get his diaper changed for over 12 hours. This has happened twice. The staff just sit around on their phones and chat.

We have been really disappointed with our experience, we do understand they are understaffed but our loved one waits so long when they need assistance and there as been multiple times where the staff forgot to bring them a meal.

This facility has such a turn over in staffing due to very low pay. The management cares about bottom dollar and not residents of the facility. Meals are awful, as the residents if you can get them away from management to be truthful. They don't have choices in meals like they say, it's what ever the special of the day is and only offer food at meal times otherwise it's not available. Be careful of the pricing, they increase prices at least yearly and sometimes even more often. They spend money on pretty but not on residents care.

For the amount of money paid, the facility was not that clean and the nurses were over-worked. They need more staff and the facility needed updates. We ended up taking her out because we were worried about the delta variant. I thought it was going to be a good experience, but it did not turn out to be that way. Based on our time here, I would not recommend at the moment.
