This one is brand new...Should be really nice.

Somerset has been a good choice for my husband. Overall, the staff is great and he feels safe in this facility. It is clean and the atmosphere is friendly. [name removed] and [name removed] are a great asset for Somerset.

Food portions are small, but 2nds are available on most items, including desert. Featured items are often a little light on protein, and breakfast meat is only offered twice a week. Soups run from good, to outstanding. Fresh dinner rolls from the in-house bakery are really good. Housekeeping is a little thin, but the housekeepers are also the servers. The servers are very good, helpful, and friendly when they come to work. To their credit, managers pitch in to take up the slack. The apartments are not really apartments as they do not have cooking facilities. I've overcome that with a hotplate and airfryer, and microwave. None of which get much use. Apartments come with a full sized refrigerator. Kitchen sink is quite small, and there is minimal counter space. Television reception and wi-fi are free, but wi-fi reception is not high-speed. Transportation is provided to stores, appointments, and church. Church services are held at an in-house chapel. A podiatrist sees residents on a regular basis. Various 3rd party PAs, nurse practitioners, PT coaches are welcome at the facility. If the prospective resident is fairly active in mind and body, the provided activities are a little thin, but there are lots of them. Management is open to suggestions. I was able to get karaoke started once a week. The management at Carriage House is friendly, helpful, and competent. All 4 managers live in the facility and are available 24/7. There is also a full time Activities Director who organizes interesting trips and regular imported musical programs. There is an actual motion picture theater offering a movie every afternoon and again in the evening. There is a well equipped workout room, pool room, library, and a heated swimming pool. I would recommend it to friends and relatives who are not interested in cooking. Actually, there is a well equipped kitchen and small dining area should a resident wish to have a dinner party. Also, a private dining room is available for larger functions. Having a car is a bonus. Thanks to A Place For Mom (and dad too) for helping me focus my search for a new home. Wishing you success in finding a new home for yourself or a loved one.

We have been able to meet with the director, activities director [name removed] and other staff and they have all been so fantastic. What was our big deciding factor was that its just so clean, the food was fantastic, it is close to home and all the residents seemed super nice, warm, and welcoming. When our loved one first moved in the food was just fantastic and out of this world - now they have had some recent chef changes so the food has fluctuated some but hopefully the food gets back to where it was.

We went into Whispering Pines knowing that it had great reviews and everyone stated was wonderful. They were exactly correct, beautiful , very clean, friendly and wonderful staff from what we saw and spoke with.

Seemed also to be very pretty and well kept during the tour.

They ought to keep up with the bathroom and shower by the pool area - it definitely needs to be cleaned more. Overall I would recommend Orchard Heights.

We had a really good experience at Stoneridge and he enjoyed his independence here. It is in a great location and near a lot of things. We found the staff to be super helpful and considerate. He could not hear the announcements for the activities and he had a hard time reading, so it was very hard for him to get involved in those. He never complained about the food. Overall it is a very caring environment and we would recommend them to other families looking.

Really the bathrooms were the main issue - they still had tubs, and we needed a handicap accessible walk-in shower for our loved one. Which was surprisingly difficult to find elsewhere as well. . .

I would tell others that my loved one feels secure here and has made phenomenal friends. My loved one has renewed sense in their life. My other loved one has had more exercise and this has been excellent along with the socialization and prepared meals.

My loved one likes to socialize a lot with the residents in the lounge and has participated in bingo also. I do feel that the main manager couple that lives in the community are wonderful and receptive and very open if you need to speak with them about anything. They create a really friendly and open environment.

This is a place you should investigate as they have a lot to offer for your loved one. It has been a positive experience for our loved one. They have bingo, concerts, art and crafts, field trips, and more for the residents to choose from to participate in.

We chose Northridge Gracious Retirement because of the friendliness and helpfulness of the gal who walked us through the facility for our tour. You could tell that she was genuine. My sister is in a studio apartment and it good for what she needs. She is happy here. I would definitely recommend to others looking.

It was a very nice community during our tour. They didn't have a memory care unit, and we needed more care than what the community offered.

They provide great resources for independent care. The staff is friendly. They have a reasonable amount of appropriate activities for the residents. My loved one is enjoying the food with the quality and taste. The community does special events around the food.

The cleanliness of the community is just fabulous and the staff members are pretty much like family at this point. The food here is healthy and presented well. They have a ton of activities we party all the time. I enjoy my apartment, it is quite comfortable and maintained perfectly. If something goes wrong the problem is fixed right away, they are very responsive when it comes to emergencies. We get physical therapy at the community. The grounds are beautiful, they are well maintained. Internally and externally it is a very nice welcoming place. During the pandemic we have had to lock down and during that time every precaution was taken to insure our safety.

We think the dining service would be a four out of five, and the meals would be about a three in a half out of five. Because of COVID they are having to have the meals delivered to the rooms and sometimes by the time they food gets there, it is cold which has been a struggle. However, we would absolutely recommend this community to others.

On my first review of Alexia Estates, I mentioned if you look for a rainbow in the sky, follow it as it will land on the rooftop of Alexis Estates Independent Retirement! My mom and I were so elated to what Alexis Estates offered her, especially comparing Alexis Estates to a more expensive Independent Care facility my mom came from. Unfortunately, at 94, she now resides above that rainbow! My mom had been in and out of hospitals and nursing homes but continued to keep the strength to return to Alexis Estates. It was family, comfort and the most awesome manager teams that lives on campus and is always present with a hug or talk of a dance! It is those 4 – [names removed] that make the difference! In addition, as my mom aged and needed more care, she could have not continued in Independent care had it not been for [name removed] with Senior Shield Caregiving (In-house care). She was my mom’s lifeline. And the embrace all five made to communicate and cover my mom’s needs plus make her life fun and comfortable… I just can’t thank them enough. I will miss stopping by! They make everyone’s life a joy to be around!

The Staff and my neighbors here are wonderful. I have a volunteer job working at our community store while I feel very needed. I have lived here over 4 years and it's my home !
