Love most of the staff at Stone Lodge. Food choices could be improved to include more fresh produce. Windows could be replaced to aid guest comfort as well as utility costs.

What we like the most about the community is the convenience, affordability, and their great staff. Yes, we would recommend Sanford Estates to other families based on the experience so far.

They are very friendly but don't seem to have a protocol for emergencies. That is why they got a 4 and not a 5.

The residents are lovely people. So is the staff. My only problem is they don't enforce the rules. The apt. come in different sizes. One bedroom a few 2 bedrooms and studio. All in different sizes. We have a lot of activities.

They do not offer care, but I like that it's clean, smells good, they are good about decorating for the seasons. They could improve on their food options.

When my father first arrived I would have rated the place a five. But the three members of management were transferred. Although competent, the new members of management are not as involved with the residents. My father has made friends there. There is a nice sidewalk that goes around the building. He takes his daily walks. He also uses the exercise room. He has mentioned a lot of residents use the equipment. He plays bingo every week. (Maybe more, I forgot) And he loves the many individuals and groups that come in to play music from the olden days. Overall he is happy there.

I would give everything good marks. My mom has said the food quality has gone down since she moved in and they have had a problem replacing the activity director. The rent is high for an independent living but I hear it's not the highest. I would like to see some kind of refund if the renter doesn't use the meals.

Being able to socialize has been a game changer for my sister. Colonial Gardens has an impressive beautiful dining room with good food. Nicely kept up facility. Lovely apartments all with outside access. Pleasant administration . Transportation to doctor's appointments and grocer. Good price point for what you get.

Her biggest complaint is the food & food service, except for Sunday, when apparently the head chef makes dinner. It’s a nice facility, but my Mother also thinks the upkeep could be better (elevator broken for a while, carpet/furniture could use cleaning,…) She enjoys the people there, enjoys being part of the chorus, enjoys playing bridge.

Overall, we've been pretty happy. Some inconsistent staffing issues (chefs, care helpers with Better at Home) here and there. I would recommend to others

My mother-in-law decided to move in. The staff is very nice. My mom would prefer a real kitchen. They take way too long for each meal and she ends up taking snacks out of the community fridge often. She enjoys the activities and meeting new people.

Their office staff keeps changing every other week and sometimes it's an open door policy other times very closed door and not friendly and very unpredictable. also, their transportation bus keeps breaking down and you never know if there's going to be normal trips to the grocery store, etc..

My mother is very happy there. The staff changes often. Food is OK. The apartment is perfect! Kitchenette and balcony are great. Yes I would recommend for someone who doesn't mind a little older building.

Friendly staff and committed. It is a clean facility and we would recommend Jordan Oaks to other families based on the experience so far.

There has been a complete turnover of staff just in the last week. I was responding based on on the previous staff. I have not met the new people yet. As for the facility, it's very clean and there are a lot of amenities. The common areas are kept nice as well as the outside grounds. My mom's apartment is perfect for her and the bathroom is big.

Mom is very happy at Southern Pines Gracious Living. We are very happy with her situation in general. I would highly recommend Gracious Living. They have been very stable for a long time.

Nice place to live. Many Rules to follow. Some very interesting people and numerous quiet ones. Food is adequate and plentiful. These comments are animus please.

Very good and could get better when they bring a Physical Therapist aboard. I have no problem recommending Salmon Creek as a living center. We were in [community removed] for 21 months, and I visited several others before selecting Salmon Creek. The food is much better, you have some control on what, when, and where you eat , shave and shower. Salmon Creek has much more activities, furnish transportation for shopping, Dr. Appointments. Weekly trips for recreation. A Physical Therapist, at about one half the cost of [community removed] was not an assisted living facility, it was denial and refusal with the resident to aid at 35 to one. I have documentation showing unbelievable mis management, and would be more than happy to share with you.

All aspects were great; most challenging part was my parent's overall attitude. I would absolutely recommend this community to others who are searching for a place for their loved one.
