Everyone here is very friendly and most appear to be happy here. Attendees here very courteous and helpful. I enjoy visiting with everyone that lives. I myself am happy here.

This is a wonderful community to live in. Everyone is friendly and always willing to lend a helping hand. I enjoy being able to fellowship with the other residents during dinner and the many activities available to us. It is like being home and having a great family.

Love it here, management very helpful and so nice. Everyone of residents look out for each other. I hope we will have many years here as a resident.

Corps approve to SeniorService, in my opinion is No 1 in the industry. I would like to see the story of how Hawthorn was founded, on some of the handouts for tours.

My mother lives here for about 6 years now and I visit her frequently every year. I know she very much enjoys living here. She has met many new friends and neighbors and enjoys participating in many of the social activities that are offered to residents everyday. The meals and service she gets everyday in the dining room are as good as any sit-down restaurant in the city. The management and staff really do care about the residents, and all do their best to provide optimum service and attention to all the needs of the residents. I don't think any senior citizen could find a better place to live.

My mom just moved into Bella Vista and really likes it! Food is good, people are friendly and the facilities are updated and very comfortable.

I love the Woods at Holly Tree. I liked what they offered. They had outings. They would take you to the grocery stores, to the banks, and to your doctors. They served breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff was very welcoming, like family. There was a laundry mat if you wanted to your own laundry. I liked the area outside by the pond too. Most of the people that I met were very knowledgeable and seem very caring. This place stood out to me over others I have toured.

The Woods at Holly tree was a very nice place, well kept, very appealing, and very comfortable to walk into. The staff was very friendly. They followed up, and were very helpful and supportive, gave us options to look at. They were accommodating on the rooms we were looking for. I was very happy with it. The dining area was very open.

What a true blessing. My 82 year old mother moved in with me due to needing to be around others her age. Unfortunately my home has 3 levels with 17 stairs to each. Not ideal for my Mom who needs no assistance walking but gets around slower these days. We toured The Woods at Holly Tree and I was impressed before I stepped foot in the door. The outside has a beautiful inviting decor with flowers and well kept landscaping. The entrance is lined with comfortable outdoor chairs that I could imagine my mom sitting in on a warm summer day drinking lemon aid or ice tea. One we walked through the doors the view was even more inviting. Clean, spacious and it reminded me of a hotel lobby. We were greeted by warmth from all the staff. As I watched them interact with my mom I was so grateful for their kindness and patience. They invited us to have lunch and the food was delicious. Mom cleaned her plate. Other residents came by and introduced themselves and one sat with us for lunch. My mom made an instant friend. I had 3 other locations on my list to review but my search has ended. We're going with The Woods at Holly Tree and I look forward to writing another review after my mom moves in and gets settled. I would highly recommend touring this retirement community

Life is full of transitions! As I am nearing the end of my life cycle, Alexis Estates has met all the basic requirements needed to live our a good life. I have called this community my home since August 2017. The friendliness of the staff and residents was evidence of a good environment, Alexis Estates offers the lowest apartment rent, amenities, meals, housekeeping, activities, transportation, and a variety of entertainment. Alexis Estates definitely has a 5 star rating!

My husband and I are not one to give reviews but I felt like I definitely needed to upon visiting The Woods at Holly Tree... We came in to look at the community and was very welcomed by the residents and staff. I arrived and the tour was so informative. You could tell that the individual giving the tour was very knowledgeable about the procees and truly cared. I came with several questions and all of which were answered delightfully. I had questions answered that both my husband and I didn't even think to ask. The process went so smooth and I felt like we were truly pampered upon arriving and leaving. I would highly welcomed The Woods at Holly Tree as it was a place we found comfort, support, joy and beyond pleased with our experience. Thank you so much for really helping us in a time that could indeed be very tough....

I have been looking at The Woods at Holly Tree for several years and so glad that I decided to make the move here. The staff and residents are so joyful and I am pleased to be apart of this lovely little gem in Wilmington. I would recommend this community to a friend or loved one. We found the Woods to be well maintained for its age as we were surprised for it being a 15 plus year complex! The “look-see “ tour enabled us to get an overview of the advertised facilities and activities characteristic of an independent living complex. The monthly calendar of events was filled with a variety of offerings for the residents. The informative consult with the Sales Leader was most helpful for an initial visit.. As this visit was a first of its kind for my husband and me, the experience was valuable and positive! Thank you

January 2019 Three and a half months ago we moved to Desert Springs in Oro Valley, Arizona. It didn’t take long for us to feel welcome and that this was where we belonged. Our two bedroom/two bath apartment has views of mountains, sunrises and sunsets. Everyone is friendly: the residents, managers, kitchen staff, and help. Activities are plentiful with an inspirational activity director. It includes a pool, a theatre for movies and a beautiful dining room. All three meals are included with the monthly cost, even the unusual choice of vegan food. Desert Springs is the only vegan-friendly facility we found. In fact, the managers actively cater to vegetarians and vegans, while striving to prepare more nutritious health options for all residents. Chef [Name removed] is outstanding. Contact them for a visit and a delicious dinner. You’ll be glad you did.

Our Mom has been at Ashwood Meadows for about 7 months and she really loves the community. The management and support staff have both been off the charts kind and supportive to her and to our family. Everyone gives of themselves on a personal level; we never feel like "it's just their job". We have peace of mind knowing she is in a safe environment where people care about her personally. She is afforded her independence while knowing - if she needs somebody quickly - a familiar face is there immediately. There has been a recent change in activities director and it looks like that has been a very positive new addition. Mom is looking forward to what's going to be happening.

Mom has been at Bella Vista about six weeks. Of course the transition from living alone to living with other people takes time. She is adjusting and I’m certain as time goes on, new friendships and interests will develope. The staff is warm, caring, and attentive. Many fun and interesting activities are offered daily. The grounds and apartments are beautiful and comfortable. If I were pressed for a downside, it would be menu choices. Often, Mom can’t eat the meals because if her sensitivity to certain ingredients. However, there is always a sandwich/soup/salad option. I would definitely recommend Bella Vista.

We love living in the 'Ranch'. Our apartment is very nice and the cleaning weekly is very good. It is not total cleaning, but makes it easy for us to maintain the little left for us, mostly dusting. The food is above average for institutional cooking. We have 3-4 items to choose from plus exchanging various items for others. Both the residents and the staff are super friendly and make new people feel very welcome. This is a great place and we are so pleased we made the decision to sell our Condo and move here.

Bella Vista is a top notch place. My mother is living there and is quite happy. They make a real effort to welcome new folks and help them adjust to their new surroundings. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly and helpful.

First I want to say that I have searched a total of 10 communities in Raleigh, Charlotte and Wilmington. I toured The Woods at Holly Tree for the first time a few days ago and this place truly stood among all the others. We walked in and were instantly greeted by the staff of which I haven’t had at the other places of which we looked. The community is extremely clean and everyone looked very cheerful... We had a delightful lunch and a tour that truly surpassed any place. I felt like I was apart of this wonderful community at my departure.... I am happy to say that we have decided on The Woods at Holly Tree and would highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a clean, nice and well maintained place. I wish that I would’ve made this move sooner. This has truly been a blessing for not only myself but my family as well. Thank you to the staff at The Woods at Holly Tree as you have made my life a more desirable one and much appreciation goes out to all that have helped me.
