This community meets all my needs. The food is nutritious, the housekeepers are very thorough, the activities are fun and thought provoking. The residents become very good friends. The management help to meet all your needs. I have been here 6 years and am pleased I made the move.

After my husband died, I continued to live in the house we owned, for 6 years. Then I knew I couldn't handle all the maintenance our home needed by myself. My son, who lives in Olathe, brought me to look at the inside of Meadowlark (it was fairly new and the population here was low). Before we left I had picked out the apartment I live in now and moved in soon after. I love living here and hope I can live here for the rest of my life! (I have lived here for almost 5 years)

I moved in when it opened 4 years ago. Its a great place to live. The people are great that work here and the residents are wonderful.

I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. The architecture, paintings are great. Activities are plentiful and varied. Good is pretty good. The managers are wonderful and always helpful!

This is a very good place to live. The people are friendly and care for each other if someone is ill or needs help/ The activities and events are always great. [Name removed] is a wonderful help in transporting us to medical appointments. Of course [name removed] is great with activities and events. The rest of the staff is equally nice and do a great job.

Great place to live, great location, close to places to eat. Very clean, plenty of activities to keep you busy. Very safe place to live. Great management.

I cannot express enough gratitude towards this community! Every manager, every housekeeper, every waitstaff, everyone involved here is top of the line! How incredible it is and rewarding to see my 88 yr old mother thriving as I haven't seen her do in 5 years. The fellowship and camaraderie between staff and residents is outstanding. That you from the bottom of my heart. This establishment answered prayers.

It's a great place

Just some of the great things about this senior living are the employees. All employees try so hard to make every activity so gratifying. Meals are served by servers that are proper, pleasant, and informed about the meal or alternatives if there is one.

This is a great retirement community. It has great management and caring staff. There are numerous activities daily, and several outside activities during the year. Transportation is provided for medical appointments as well as trips to Walmart, banks, etc. There is also a larger percentage of male residents than normal.

A very nice community of friendly residents and employees. Many fun things to participate in due to staff, outstanding activity director and fun loving hair salon owner and her staff. Always nice events to look forward to.

I love living here and I have no plans to leave - unless they take on strict rules. I have a sweet little dog and love that dogs are welcome here, & I always clean up after him to show my appreciation!

I am loving living here. I have my privacy when I want or need it, but always someone to talk to or something to do. Your choice. I don't have to shop, cook or do dishes. my daughter calls it my resort. No pressure from anyone. My apt is cleaned for me once a week. Hope I can stay indefinitely.

We investigated, visited and toured several communities when deciding to move to a retirement community. Desert Springs had more to offer, by far, of what we were looking for, ie, separate and private living area (such as a casita), 3 tasty meals each day, attractive architecture, tastefully and artfully decorated interior, well maintained community and adequate staffing in all areas, the pricing for Desert Springs is very reasonable and competitive with only a month to month commitment. As essential "must"have" is skilled, capable, caring and professional management staff - this is a key element for any retirement community and it is a "shining star" area for Desert Springs as the management team is truly outstanding. We highly recommend Desert Springs as an outstanding, active and well maintained retirement community.

When my husband and I decided we needed to slow down and move into some kind of retirement home, we visited several in our community. This one seemed very good. We have great managers and lots of fun activities to keep us from just sitting in our room. I would say it is the best place to retire and start the next phase of your life!

I am very impressed with Desert Springs. It is the best independent living facility that I have seen. The staff is excellent - they work so well together. Lunch was wonderful. And they have a lively group of people playing songs

Living here for 7+ years. Food good and plentiful. Current management very good and attentive. Did have some issues over a year ago but were solved. Lots of activities daily if you are bored get up and participate! Would recommend it (and have!) to others!

Great place. Everything is very convenient. Great food, Never run out of hot water. Housekeeping - excellent Laundry room - always available.
