The staff are all very friendly. This community is for independent living and you can get as much assistance as you need or no assistant at all. It is all up to your loved one and what they feel that they need and if they need help in the community. The resident seem to be very happy here.

--My husband and I find the Azalea Estates Retirement Community a perfect place for the transition from home ownership to senior group living. The lovely, multi-functional community space in this newly constructed facility makes up for the loss of personal space in our home. Common space includes a kitchen, chapel, library, fitness center, game room and theater. Outdoor activities are encouraged with raised garden beds, a multi-hole putting green, and fenced exercise area for dogs. --Of special note are the skilled managers, excellent chefs, kitchen staff and servers. An activity coordinator; housekeepers; bus driver; a gifted maintenance man; and on-site physical therapists contribute to a pleasant independent living experience. To newcomers, I offer a cautionary note--you might gain weight! --We are delighted by the interesting and accomplished folks who share our new home and daily meals. In sum, we can't imagine a more pleasing place than Azalea Estates to live! Y'all come!

The value is a little high. I know that there are a lot of services but my parents do not use all of them. However, I know that a lot of the communities are on the higher side. The staff are very nice. I would recommend this community. It is a new community and they know the residents as well as the family by name.

This is a lovely place to live. The people are a standout to me as they are friendly. I've been able to make some lovely friends. The staff is great as well. The food is average to slightly above average and there are options for meals.

I moved my 85-year old sister to Wilshire Estates 2 months ago and she is thriving- playing the baby grand piano and singing, eating meals with other residents, participating in activities, and enjoying watching a movie any day that she wants! She has proven that she didn't need an assisted living facility. She feels at home now at Wilshire Estates.

It has been a wonderful experience for my brother in law at Stone Lodge. It is a huge beautiful complex that is so well kept. They staff are all very friendly and accommodating. All of the residents we have talked to are thrilled to be here. We have had a couple meals with him and they are excellent and he also really likes them as well. If you do not like what they are serving, they have alternatives too. They have right at home care available if you need any extra care or services. I would definitely recommend them to others who are looking.

3 meals a day—and excellent at that. Well maintained building, friendly and useful staff. Personal small apartment with kitchenette and a balcony, laundry facilities (or laundry service at extra cost), parking if needed. What could be better for a retiree?!

This community was fabulous and it happen to be our first choice. It was just too expensive for the budget we had for my loved one.

I chose Somerset Lodge because of the location, the physical openness of the common areas which made it feel more hotel like, and the cost. I find my apartment size to be really good. I have a 1 bedroom with a balcony and I have plenty of room for my furniture in the living area and bedroom. The closet space is incredible, I have 3 huge closets. The kitchenette is a little on the smaller side but it works. The one drawback is that there is only 1 elevator in the center of the building, so at meal time it gets crowded and there is a significant wait. The food is good, but they do not serve ham or shellfish since it is run by 7th day Adventist. There is a big age range within the residents, mostly everyone is very good conversationalists and are easy to get along with. Another thing I would tell others is that the bus they use does not have a lift or handicap access. I would definitely recommend them to others who are looking.

Hudson Estates is absolutely the best place, our loved one is 102 years old and thriving. They recently had a birthday party for him and he had so much fun. We would highly recommend this community to other families. They provide 24hr custodial care, so anytime our loved one needs help he just has to push the button he wears around his next and the husband or wife come immediately.

My loved one seems very happy there. It's a very clean and friendly community. And he tells met the food is great.

After almost giving up on finding independent living for my mother, ….”A Place for Mom” came to mind. We called and Sheila was very quick to respond. She actually set up two places to tour that day! After getting her into the facility; they even called to see if everything was going well. I was extremely happy with A Place for Mom!

They're friendly. It's been a great place for my loved one. We feel very fortunate that we found this place. The cost, location, friendliness, and various amenities are all great.

My tour with Hessler Heights was very good, but the apartments did not have full sized kitchens and I still like to cook so that was something I was looking for.

We chose Mountain View Gardens because it was cleaner, nicer, has an open concept, and also had a lively feel to it. The 2 bedroom apartment is perfect size for her but would be great for 2 people as well. I think they could provide more variety of selection on the evening meals. Overall I would recommend to others looking.

I do think that they should cut back on the sodium with the meals . This is a spectacular community. I like everything about it and the people who run it live on site and I feel that this was really important also. Its a good feeling having this community for my loved one.

We chose Camellia Gardens because of the convenient location to me so I can visit often. The facility itself is so new and aesthetically pleasing. Because of how it is built, there is an enormous plaza in front of it and has everything she could need which is a super plus. They have a variety of apartment sizes depending on what you need. The activities are plentiful and displayed well enough for anyone to see. I would definitely recommend to others looking.
