All a 5. I was very happy with the facility. We only moved because my mom needed assistance, and we found another place more affordable to make her money last longer.

Memory care is NOT RECOMMENDED in any circumstance. They are abysmal with staffing, care, food, everything. They do not communicate well with the family. Staff turnover is frequent and constant. They do not dress your loved one appropriately even if you are specific and bring it to their attention multiple times. Put to bed in the same clothes worn all day and possibly the day before. They do not help with bathing or even suggest brushing teeth or washing hands. They never engage with residents in any way or even let them use nice enclosed outdoor space just that tiny courtyard. The most they will do is shove food in their mouth and then park them in the movie theater or let them wander in and out of everyone's rooms. Safety is a major concern as well. If you stay and front desk person has left for the night, you might also get locked in because you can't find anyone to let you leave. Do right by your loved one and keep looking. This is not a good place, no matter how often you visit.

I have nothing good to say about that place. Did not like anything about it. They are way under-staffed! All of my Mom's clothes were either lost or stolen, despite putting name tags in all of them. Communication with the nurses is horrible.

If "community " means Harmony, I would tell them not to even consider going there. I brought my loved one home from Harmony after being there six weeks. I will not recommend Harmony at Mt Juliet to ANYONE. Being there was Hell on Earth. If "community " means the city of Mt Juliet, I would tell them our Police Department is second to none. Mt Juliet is an ok place to live, but it is growing too fast and infrastructure is not being kept up for the growth.

The Substandard care my mother received at Harmony is nothing short of neglect (definitely some improvement opportunities for Harmony.) I would NOT provide a positive input based on how poorly my mother was cared for by Harmony nor would I recommend. My mother's needs were not met. The staff was not proactive of the needs of my mother but more reactive as issues occurred. Harmony did an assessment of my mother and convinced our family they could meet her needs where she is in her dementia and physical conditions (two hip replacements at age 89). Sadly Harmony could not meet her needs as promised, hence my comment about being proactive vs. being reactive.

They are friendly to your faces but once I left there was a worker that would taunt my mom and speak hatefully to her What care? I had to hire a part time caregiver to be with mom when I couldn't be there I have a picture of the slop they fed her Activities were non-existent No comment about value b/c my mom was left alone when she needed help so often including for 45 minutes on the floor in her own feces (just 1 example) there is NO VALUE in a place like that. Don't put your loved one there!

Worst experience of any type in the world. She declined in every way in the short 15 months she was there. Was hospitalized and at one point during the first 60 days I received a call out of the blue from some hospice agency asking if I was interested in services for her since she was hospitalized and I was not even advised by the facility that she had been taken to the hospital. The staff really started nice but the turnover is so high and once things started going bad they were completely rude. At one point we monitored how many staff were there and one month they on five occasions had only one person available in the facility for all floors. I asked repeatedly for a tour and to get her engaged in activities and it never happened. It is very sad because she wanted to live there for years. I had high hopes for her experience there. But the drained us communicated none and left her sitting in chair declining.

I would not recommend it unless the parent can live independently and take care of themselves. Do not plan on being able to "age in place" if it becomes necessary for a loved one to move to a higher level of care. I would also suggest that they closely monitor the prescriptions that a loved one is being given to avoid them from being over medicated and overcharged and this also applies to monthly billing to avoid excess charges. We were forced to make other immediate arrangements for her care. Luckily the hospital was understanding and had caring doctors and nurses that helped us. We never sent her back there. This was the last of multiple instances and my mom deserved better. We were paying way too much for the level of services we received. Luckily every senior care facility is not like this. I know they were undergoing management changes at the time but this did not excuse the level of care my mom received.

Awful awful place that I would never recommend. They made my mother miserable. She wasn't given her meds even close to correctly. I know that she didn't receive her medication's because I provided many of them and they were unopened bottles. She used to tell me she wasn't getting her medication's but they would do a song and dance and act as if she was crazy because she was in memory care and she didn't know any better. when I got the remaining medication, I was floored. Four days into her new facility, she was snowed on the very medication that had almost no effect on her. They had no effect because she wasn't getting them. Additionally, they didn't give her her heart medication's as prescribed, and she had severe swelling in her legs and feet to where she couldn't even wear shoes. She developed stasis ulcers on her legs, which never healed and caused her a great deal of misery right up until the day that she died. the swelling resolved with four days of arrival at her new facility. It was just unexcused. The manager manager of the unit was not a nurse, and the caregivers had no knowledge of anything. There were usually only two or three people on the floor with 30 residents. One person would be giving off the medication. I would call it an alleged care facility. I cleaned her room and did her laundry, or it would not get done. She would not have gotten assistance to shower if I or hospice did not do it. Poop on the wall and floor. Toilet uncleared for three months. No assistance provided to dress morning or night. She was on her own. Even with visitors 5 days a week, they did not care. Almost no staff. They were prisoners, not allowed to go outside in a closed in area because the staff were either unavailable or too busy checking their phones to offer assistance. All of these issues were repeatedly addressed with management. I even sent this photos to the director. Do you think anyone cleaned it up? Nope, it was a stye until the day she left. She died 7 weeks after leaving there and I live daily with the guilt of making the last many months of her life a living hell because I doubted what she told me. I would nit wish that place on anyone. They are just in it for a quick buck. They then tried to keep two weeks of money paid in fees by saying that I didn't give proper. I gave exactly the notice that was in their handbook. It took months and they finally refunded part of that back to me. Iwent all the way to the CEO. Of course I heard nothing from the CEO and the upper level manager that I did hear from paid lip service, but I suspect just wanted to make me shut up and go away.

The Business Office practices and record keeping are less than par. The communication has been insufficient in attempting to resolve and accounting matter, and rather that work on the issue, the staff have been finger pointing at each other for accountability. Needless to say, due to turnover, some of those involved are no longer employed, so those remaining have used them as a scapegoat. Hence, I am in the process of filing a formal complaint.

Recently moved my Mother out of here . They are short staffed in all departments. I used to chat with the staff often and it wasn’t nothing but complaining and Overwhelming for most of them. Not enough Aides or Med techs my mother was given her medicine 4 hrs after the set time and this wasn’t a 1 time incident it was Multiple times my sister and her husband had called . The Food is Bad the Cook who runs the kitchen is her unprofessional uniforms are nasty and some of the staff wear regular clothes .. just because something seems like something doesn’t mean that’s the truth and I’m very dissatisfied

DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!! Corporate fired most of the managers -GOOD MANAGERS and now they make the buildings share them per staff. The ED is never in the building and I am told constantly she’s “next door” . When you reach out to her she’s very rude and condescending. She seems very disinterested in what’s going on in the community. The staff is running the building and they say so themselves because they have no leader. The medications are never on time and they are constantly running out. Doctor’s appointments are missed on a regular basis. Activities has been bad for a while and is worse now. When we call we never receive a return call back. Administrator is the worst about that and then nursing. We visit and she’s never there, so we have to talk with the nurse who seems to be doing her best, but not equipped to run a whole community with no help. Some days the odor is so bad that I have to hold my breath going down the hall. I am looking for another dementia unit ASAP.

Harmony on the Peninsula to be greatly inferior to the numerous other facilities we have experienced in care standards, staffing, and management. The facility looks clean and well-decorated. But the problems run deep, stemming from leadership that turned over by 100% in our 1.5 years there, and became more disorganized and disconnected with each new director. The current executive director claims to be experienced, but she admittedly has no medical background and is a poor and disliked leader, evidenced by chronic unhappiness and turnover of the already understaffed care provider team. The food is passable, but the mealtime service is even worse, riddled by understaffing and disorganization. In one of many examples of lapses in care, our mom with late-stage dementia was forgotten and left to nap in her uncomfortable chair in the wide-open dining hall after one meal ended, and then discovered that she was

My mom has been there since 2019 and it has been declining since then. No consistency in the director role for several years and therefore poor leadership for staff. My mom has been sent to the hospital 2 times and the last time the EMT’s warned me about what they see there. Pathetic. If I could move her without doing harm to her I would in a minute! Skip it!

It was a horrible experience and my mom is longer there. They were overcharging me. I had to constantly fight with them. There billing department had no idea what they were doing. The executive director was clueless. I did not find the staff helpful. I found out that sometimes at night there was not a staff person on my mom's floor. There would be 1 staff person covering both floors of assisted living.

Poor care for memory care. They don't cater to special diets even with physicians orders. Allergies to gluten and lactase are not the same as dislike for a specific food. It's a health issue and it's not there policy to care. I don't understand why I filled out paperwork noting the allergies. They were aware when they accepted him as a resident. On top of the monthly fees we are also buying groceries so he has something he can eat. I was there [date removed] and once again, he had diarrhea. Why do they keep feeding him food with gluten. He has dementia and can't always make such decisions for himself. We thought we were paying Harmony to look after his care. 24/7 nursing is only for emergencies otherwise I have to schedule home Healthcare. He was at [removed] and received far better care, working nurse on staff and they made sure not to feed him gluten.

They do not perform any of the promised, written, agreements. The food is disgusting, the light housekeeping as a joke vacuuming with a broom, not one time have they checked on my mother, that was the reason I chose this location, for peace of mind while I was traveling for work. They don't call like they said they would, we tripped the emergency cord and no one showed up, she went without water in her bathroom for 3 days, the community van does not move. I've never seen anyone getting in or out of the van other than employees with their lunch. The first bill was a cluster, no one knows what they are doing, especially the leasing staff, the move in specialist, all horrible at their jobs. I gave notice 10 days after move in that my mom would not be staying. I'm anxious to see if I have to hire an attorney for the community fee to be returned.
