Our loved one was a handful but sometimes we do believe the staff members were in over their heads when it came to the care. They did have to let our loved one go but they helped us find a new community which we appreciated. We just think our loved one needed more care then what they could offer

When my loved one moved in she was one of the first residents. The management there was fantastic at that time. There was a change of staff after my loved one in. This went bad after these changes. The community asked for my loved one to leave. They felt she was a little to much to take care of. My loved one felt the nurses coming in the middle of the night and it felt like she was being pinched. The activities were convenient for my loved one. They had a movie theater, hair salon, and it was one stop shop for the residents.

After we chose the community and paid, things changed. Meals were not warm or on time. Very well intentioned but understaffed. My brother lived there about a month and a half. Residents seemed to be happy. My brother liked socializing at dinner. We expected more for the cost.

I visited the memory care unit and was very unimpressed. It just made me feel that those poor people were trapped in a very uninspiring space forever. There is a nice, but small outdoor space. There are a lot of other memory care options available in this area

Rooms nice but very tiny.

I went on a tour of the facility with one of the admission coordinators. She was quite rushed and condescending. Everything seemed "staged". We did not get a good feeling from the place. The nursing staff seemed quite unsure of themselves. I could not leave my family member there with a good conscious. There was no heartfelt concern or genuineness about the staff or the facility.

Our dealing with Harmony Square of the Crossings is totally a mentally, physically, and financially hurting experience. Just in a mere week after we sent our loved one to them, we received at least four different kinds of conflicting messages from them: * Comforting remarks that our loved one is in good hands, and that they are used to handling difficult situations; * Calls for help to deal with our loved one, as we were the supposed professionals; * Decisions to deal with difficult situations, which are not followed through; * Ultimatum to kick out our loved one, no matter what. Fortunately, Poet's Walk accepted the outcast, our loved one. And thanks for their professionally executed care plan, our loved one is on his way to his normal life.

My mom has been living here for two years. Initially the help was really good, but management is terrible. Lots of turnover. My mom is in a wheelchair and on oxygen, many times she has to wait 30 min - 1 hour to use the bathroom. We have a camera in her room so we have been able to document the timelines. However, our concerns fall on def ears. The aides work really hard but how can two people care for over 25 residents. There have also been times that my mom has had a scheduled shower, only to find that the aide didn't have time to give her one. It is frustrating because the facility is beautiful, but we are looking to move her.

We have had a family member at the Crossings since they opened. As of today. All the original employees have left. From what it hear it is on their own accord. What does that tell you? My opinion is that it seems corporate is not very supportive of the community. Training of the care takers seems lacking. Don’t get me wrong. People there seem to care about the residence. But aren’t trained to handle some situations. I hope they are turn it around for the sake of the residents.

High staff turnover. They forgot to order my mom's prescription drugs which she ran out of and had to be without for 3 days. Alarm bells in the apartments do not work well or staff ignores them. My mom fell in the bathroom during the night and no one responded to the call bell. She laid on the floor for 3 hours until she could get herself over to the phone and dialed 911. Rescue squad come up to her room and helped her back into bed. When I questioned staff about it the next day staff was never even aware the rescue squad had been there! (Poor security) They denied it ever happened! I obtained a copy of the rescue squad's report to show them. Never even got so much as an apology. They cut back on the frequency of doing laundry and bathing from what was originally promised because they can't seem to hold onto their staff. Poor management. Be forewarned: If your loved one requires hospice care and does not live on the first floor, hospice will not be allowed in to see them. Staff says having hospice patients on upper floors is in violation of the fire code. In my mother's final dying days, I had to run around looking for an assisted living facility that would allow her to have hospice services and move her. It was a nightmare.

Poor management, does not value staff. Takes cnas 10+ minutes or longer to respond to residents rooms. Short staffed constantly. Unable to find help when you need it. Staff does the absolute minimum. Rooms are not cleaned properly.

Look elsewhere. Cleanliness was not a priority there. I saw a resident fall and hit her head and when I told someone, they did not jump to action. My father fell two weeks prior and then fell again after he got back up. Somebody saw him fall and hit his head and then watched him get back up only to fall again. Very disturbing and concerning. There is more, but I will leave it at that

Find somewhere else to take your loved one. This place doesn't know how to take care of memory care patients. They are also mean and rude.

Often times they would set her in the dining room and put food in front of her, but she could not feed herself. This was our experience a year and a half ago, I am not sure if things have changed since then.

During the ice storm in [date removed] not only did Harmony at Bellevue’s (Harmony Senior Services) generator only heat 3 common areas of the 1st floor of this 3-story 180-unit facility when temps dropped to -0.6°F to 2.1°F, they were also misleading in their emails to loved ones about the situation. They did not tell us that residents were having to sleep in chairs & their wheelchairs in those 3 common areas for warmth, or that the emergency outlets were not working consistently, or that they had a staff member guarding an exterior door to keep memory care residents from wandering off, or that the fire panel was not being powered so they were on a constant fire watch from [date removed]. We should have been told the truth about what was happening. The news footage shows that my mother's room was in the lower 50's after only the 1st day without power and before temps dropped to -0.6°F to 2.1°F. That’s minus 0.6°F. [website removed].

The only person who was actually nice to deal with was the sales lady. Once we got in felt like we had been taken. Switched room from the one we were originally shown. They put her at the farthest from the nurses station which didn't really matter because no one was ever there anyway. Memory care had scary men walking into mom's room repeatedly all hours of the day and items repeatedly stolen. Laundry was never done unless we questioned it and then she didn't get linens and clothing back. Room and bathroom cleaning was non-existent unless I sent them pictures showing how bad it was. Extremely rude administrative staff and remainder of aides sat in corners or outside on phones all day. Couldn't get her out of there fast enough!

My mother never set foot in the facility because her health took a severe downturn the day before I was supposed to move her in. I had to get a lawyer and it still took a year to get my contractually agreed upon amount of money back. Excuses after excuses and it cost me

They could return my [fee removed] deposit now that my Dad is not moving to Tennessee - which they promised me they would under these circumstances. Instead, they have kept the money and refused to communicate with me or Tennessee state officials about the refund. They are liars and i would caution anyone from putting a loved one under their care. If they treat potential residents this way - how do they treat their residents when they only look at them as potential profit.

I wrote an earlier review of the unprofessional customer interactions I received from [name removed], Director of Sales and Marketing about not getting my deposit refunded. Once I reached out to their corporate office, I was contacted immediately and my deposit was refunded. Thank you to the corporate team for such fast and professional communications and actions. Although I have been made whole again, my initial experience with this facility has not been favorable and that will be the message I give when I am asked about my experiences.

Well I was evicted from Harmony at Elkhart, someone opened my USPS mail package with my VA ?? in a sealed package, they stole one of my prescription medications, who did it I don't know, they stolen food from my refrigerator, I had clothes come up missing on laundry day, I had staff borrow money from me, I had Staff complain about management to name a few issues, they banned me from coming to the property, I offered to pay any rent back in payments, they refused.
