Harmony Senior Services

The care has declined since my mom has been here, especially in area of activities. They used to go out to lunch, take rides in the van, ceramics class, parties for special occasions, therapy dogs, etc. Currently they don't do any of these activities. The previous Activities Director would encourage participation and include family members-I rarely see the new Activities Director. Laundry is done inconsistently and her clothing is often missing even though it's labeled.

Activities could be improved. I do not see any art being offered and bingo is only twice per week. It is not bad but the staffing is an issue. Cleaning crews are great.

They have had a lot of turnover in management since my loved one has been here. They have staffing issues but I know that is an issue everywhere in general right now. He has pulled his call bell a couple of times and no one has come. The staff that are there are very friendly. I think they need more activities where they bring entertainment into the building because my loved one cannot participate in a lot of the things they do. He does love the exercise room. The on site PT is a big plus as well, they have been great to work with.

Very clean and new it is average for memory care saw no activities and only one staff member. Did not like being asked to do review, feel this review is just a little rushed and not well thought out.

I toured this facility and it was beautiful. The nurses seemed good and mostly interactive with the residents. The Assisted Living level is beautiful and more apartment style living, but they didn't seem to encourage community/interaction within the residents. The Memory Care Unit does seem to encourage community and has a nice common area for the residents to gather. This place has an amazing view! It's more expensive, but really is beautiful. I will add, during the tour I witnessed dining staff yelling at residents, not a good first impression.

Harmony at Reynolds Mountain is a beautiful facility for independent living, assisted living and memory care. If your loved one has dietary restrictions they may not be the best fit here. However we would highly recommend this community for assisted living for those families looking for a community for their loved ones. The staff are providing our loved one with good care

I was not impressed with the services at Harmony at Greensboro. The facility and apartments are beautiful. So if you’re just looking for a pretty package, it’s beautifully wrapped. However, the way they manage it is more by resident committees, and for some people that may be fine. But I didn’t see that being very effective. I didn't' see a lot of people in the common areas when I visited, and I didn't see people signing up for the activities the committee had planned. The place seemed empty to me, and we visited during the day when it should have been more alive.

I would tell others to be aware of the point system they use in determining their level of care. Some places do not use a point system and it is just a flat monthly fee whereas other places do and the cost really adds up. For example my dad was here because of my mom and did not need anything, but every individual has to fall under a level, which is an additional $600 a cost for little to no care at all. I was never able to get direct answers from the nurses. I would call and most the time it went to voicemail. It would take days to get a call back - so they could definitely improve on their communication.

We toured Harmony at Bellevue and we knew none of the people beforehand, we had no previous contact with any of them. We chose another community because of it's homey atmosphere; the people have been great and we've had no complications in working with them. My loved one has appreciated the attention she's gotten. She likes the food overall, which has been good. Harmony was a very nice facility, but it doesn't have that homey atmosphere that the community we chose has. The people there were nice, it just didn't have the feeling we wanted for our loved one. There may be people out there who might feel the complete opposite, but this was just our experience and preference.

It's fine overall, but I wish they had more staff. I know every place is struggling with that right now. I don't have any big complaints. My family members and other residents complained about the food. Some days it was good, some days it wasn't. I think they could do with more activities. The location isn't ideal - is a small rectangular lot, which limits what they can do outside. For instance, there's no space for a garden. But the care was excellent. Everybody was on top of administering medications. The staff they do have are working overtime and double time. They're just short-staffed. The cost seems outrageous, although some of that might be outside of their control. It's just a a shame for the elderly on fixed incomes.

We toured with Harmony at Five Forks and found the facility to be very large and overwhelming. They offered all levels of care. They were full and had no openings at the time that we were looking . We visited several places and I would tell others starting their search that this is a place I would come to visit.

Harmony at Five Forks seems like a facility that is more geared towards independent living and assisted living. I as not very impressed with their memory care at all. When we walked in, we barely saw any of the residents or staff members whereas during other tours, everyone was out of their rooms. The person who showed us around was nice and all but this just was not going to be the right fit for us.

Harmony at Oakbrooke was a very nice looking facility. When we toured, we did not see any staff or residents though. It is a newer facility and not as established. It just did not seem to be the best fit for my mom.

This was a place my sister choose I have only seen the place once and I really have not been impressed with the level of care she is receiving. There doesn't seem to be any real plan to engage her. My sister has been told if there are any activities in the assisted living community that she is welcome to escort her over to participate. I really don't feel that my sister should be one escorting her. I would not recommend this place. They are fine with my Mom sleeping all day and only help her with a bath 2 x a week

This is a nice and new community. The staff felt cold during the tour when speaking to them.

The Harmony Collection at Hanover is a nice looking facility. There was a little bit of confusion on the 2 buildings that are apparently not managed by the same people. The person that I was supposed to meet with never actually showed up, so they had another staff member show me around and it clearly was not their main job. They kept telling me the girl I was supposed to meet with was coming but she never did. They were trying to sell me to bring my loved one here but could not even come to meet with me so that is why we did not choose this facility.

Our family had an in person tour and the affordability unfortunately was just not there for us, they were only able to accommodate at the time was a semi private room an that was just not going to work out for our loved one

general areas are clean, but light housekeeping in independent living should include taking out trash. Meals get 2 stars but they are actively working on it. Value is Good compared to others.

A number of the Senior Independent Living residents are dissatisfied with their dining experiences here. Personally, it has gotten worst ! For 2 days we residents have had to serve ourselves. Buffet style. This is difficult for many. The food is raked through and picked over by some residents. The deserts such as pie and cake are limited. They run out. The ice cream even ran out! How can this be! This is not what we expected! The staff is very good and courteous . But they are unhappy. Please pay them what they are worth. In the agreement new residents are to receive 2 hours of move in maintenance. It is impossible to accomplish that when there is only 1 maintenance person for the entire facility. He does an excellent job. But he is not a machine! On a positive note, the building is fabulous! The outside grounds are very well maintained. The apartments are spacious .
