It's nice but it's understaffed. The nursing staff doesn't help my mother. They hide and avoid eye contact when I walk in. I picked it because it seemed much better than what it is.

They have a serious problem with staff turnover. Communication with the family is awful. I am consistently trying to get updates on my loved one. The food selection is limited and takes a long time and the quality is poor. They try hard, but cannot keep up.

The staff is pleasant. Housekeeping is lacking. Private apartments, common rooms, especially the dining room, are not clean. Suggestion: hire more staff. Meals: poor quality, both presentation and taste. Need to use better quality ingredients. Wait staff is pleasant, but overworked. Suggestion: hire more staff and increase wages. Issues with over- billing and not paying contractors in a timely manner. I would recommend this facility to others, but with reservations.

As of the first of 2024 they are increasing their fees and I feel that to be unfair due to the fact that they are very understaffed. Since being involved with them since March of 2033 the staff has had major changes and are constantly leaving. How can you justify an increase with this being a constant issue. My mom has been in rehab for the past few weeks from a fall and my fear is that even though she has a private caregiver with her doing the day Monday - Friday, I worry about her during the nights and weekends. The nursing staff is very short and I worry that she will not get the attention that she is going to need when she rerurn's to the facility. Even though they are short staffed, everyone that I have dealt with has been very nice.

Overall experience is lower due to great difficulty getting help when needed (twice I waited more than 45 minutes and then went floor to floor in search of help; many other waits were more than 30 minutes). Also, the facility seems to have bookkeeping/accounting problems and doesn't address or correct them promptly when the problem is brought to their attention. The long waits affect quality of care also.

They have mymobilemd come into the facility but I can't get any communication of what they are providing. Also said we would get a pass key to enter the memory care area but then later said we would not get one. I know they have had people work there then quit so maybe they're not as knowledgeable about how it is supposed to work.

I picked the community because it was clean and seemed nice. Good sales pitch. After signing the lease was a different story. My mother is in memory care, and they were not ready for her move in. None of the staff were aware of her moving in. It was a very rocky start. It has since gotten better, but I would be hesitant to recommend because I believe they are understaffed and not properly managed. The activities and interaction with memory care residents is not strong, but she is kept clean, dressed, and fed. They are supposed to be hiring a new memory care director, so will see if that brings improvement. Overall, it's not been great, but not so bad that I'm looking to move my mother out yet. Several of the individual workers are really good also, just not enough of them.

This was the only place we looked at as we needed something quickly. Run quickly in the other direction. They said in the initial meeting that residents would get 2 showers a week, laundry 2 times a week; three meals and 2 snacks. Reality was showers were once a week, laundry was once a week or less and snacks were non existent. Staff was rude and didn't communicate with each other. Medications were forgotten. Blood sugars were not taken and then false numbers put in. Reported 2 issues to maintenance and only one was addressed and they took a month and a half. I would absolutely NOT recommend this place to anyone.

My loved one is currently a resident at Harmony at Bellevue and overall his experience at this facility has been pretty good so far. However, the Healthcare Director of the Assisted Living unit jumps to conclusions not entirely supported by facts. Just don't get on their bad side. Overall, I would recommend Harmony at Bellevue for residents of average or better health. Especially if there are concessions on pricing.

I moved my Dad in during director of nursing and executive director transitions. There has been a lack of orientation and offering of information unless I specifically track someone down to get questions answered. Some of the staff are spectacular and have helped me a lot but I've had to ask. My expectation was there would be a meeting upon joining the community and I would be part of creating a care plan for my dad which has never happened. I don't know if that's generally just how it is or if it's because of staff changes. I'm still happy with the move overall.

Our family had an in person tour with Harmony at Columbia and overall it was a good tour experience but the common spaces are too small for the number of residents there. It feels claustrophobic

My Mother has been a resident in AL for a year now. The checked descriptions on this site are misleading. First off WIFI High speed internet is not free you have to pay for it individually from Comcast. What wifi they offer free innthe common areas is super slow. Dining times are not "anytime" breakfast is from 7-9 but servers stop checking for new resident's to place orders an hour in. Lunchbis from 11-1:30 total between 2 dining rooms. Dinner is from 5-7. They do have an ala cart menu that never changes if you don't like the main meal being served but I have never seen a vegetarian menu ever. Wheelchair available showers isn't checked though they have many resident's in wheelchairs.Nurse director has changed 4x. Facility director 2x, Maintenance director 3x, Activity director 2x. Revolving door for all kitchen and care staff because their base pay is less than their competition vs compatible (We checked) Current staff and Mgmt are all friendly and accommodating when asked directly

I'd like to start out by saying the sales rep [name removed] (who has been fired) did a great job during our first meeting and intro to Harmony at Oakbrooke. After that she did nothing to follow up, get keys, and get the ouch list items done in preparation for my Moms move. the company has fired numerous employees from the Director, Sales, Maintenance, Housekeeping and Activities associates. So my Mom moved in at the wrong time. Her AC was just fixed two days ago. Her lease and move In Date was effective [date removed] and she moved in [date removed]. They have an interim Director that seems to be working hard to repair the trust of residents and get the retirement community back on a positive track. It's been a lot under normal circumstances but extra with all the other stuff.

We picked this community, for our loved one because it did have a new appearance look to it. I would tell a friend, don't go. They can improve on management, especially when they stop changing them.

Most of the nurses were very nice. The activities director left so they had no activities on the memory care side. We liked the facility and ppl during the tour. All the other things happened after my loved one was admitted. But we only had her there for a respite stay.

The move in was not good. There was no help from the staff and their equipment was pitiful. They said they were buying proper equipment so that may be changed, but they still need staff to assist with things like furniture. They were brand new and had a lot of problems that may not exist now. I gave a 3 overall rating because you couldn't get through to anyone by phone or otherwise. This was very upsetting to me and my Mom.

It's a waste of money unless you enjoy socializing, going on outings etc. I am not a social person, it's all a waste of my money. Things never get fixed, I'm sure that there are lots of fun things to do here, I'm just not interested. Others would probably like it here. I picked this community, because it was close to family and care services.

Had an issue with my mother's unit flooding after a hard rain. This was on Friday over the 4th of July weekend. No maintenance person on duty. Sent emails asking for a response to the Executive Director and the maintenance Director. To this day, no response. A nurse, fortunately knew where their extractor was and I spent over two hours getting as much water as possible out of her carpets. If there becomes a mold issue, those unanswered emails won't be a good look for them.

While my mother has a lovely apartment at this facility, there are many issues first being constant changeover of staff, including the people that do the cooking, and that run the facility. there are a few activities, and even those that are on the monthly calendar sometimes do not even occur. They used to go out to movies that has not happened in quite a while. People have actually left the facility because of the food and the length of time it takes to get your food. The food is the biggest issue and the activities or lack of is the second biggest issue for a facility that charges this amount they should have a very active group. The facility is also built on a piece of property that is not conducive to getting any outdoor exercise or enjoyment. There are no gardens. There is no place to walk, except for the sidewalk in front of the facility. I attended both the Easter dinner and the Fourth of July dinner for Easter. I finally left, they had to wait in line that was 30 people long

Harmony at Southridge is a beautiful facility, had an appointment but sales guy was 20 minutes behind. Ultra expensive- high end, staff appears snotty. Money was of importance. Travel to and from very inconvenient for our family - these were the main reasons we did not choose this facility.
