Main area is fairly clean, personal bathroom and room don't get cleaned very well! Toilet stays dirty! Furniture in main area is cloth and needs to be replaced with something different due to mostly incontinent residents! We have been told for months that they are working on this! Staff is very friendly! All of the front lines workers are easy to talk to and seem to genuinely care! Communication is lacking and needs aren't always met. I have text the nurse line twice with no response. I haven't tried the food myself but my mom eats very well and seems to enjoy the food! Right now there are limited activities in the memory care unit. The lady that was there when my mom first arrived was fired and now her replacement has resigned! To me, almost all memory care units are expensive and the care is OK. Harmony is more economical for us because my mom is in a shared room. This is the 3rd home my mother has been in over the 3 years she has needed care. I do NOT think she isn't looked after but there is definitely a problem across the board in these facilities. The front line workers are UNDERPAID and are doing their best but there is limited staff. I have yet to figure out where all the money goes that is paid every month but it doesn't go to the hands of the workers. My dad, who is currently deceased, was in 2 facilities and the best one HANDS DOWN was {facility removed]. At the time that he was there ([date removed]) it was privately owned and the owner was there daily. A Place for Mom assisted my family with finding that facility as well! Sorry that my review can't be all 5's but this is the current reality of most all facilities! Room for MUCH improvement in our elder care across the board! In all fairness, I do need to add that Harmony's care for my mom is leaps and bounds better than the[community name removed] !!! I would recommend it, I just think the entire system has issues. Harmony is MUCH better than the residences! Nice facility with room for improvements. Very friendly staff!

Nice community, decent activities and support. Food is terrible. Need more handicap or just close parking spots they put my in law on independent living but she probably should have been put in assisted

The facility and apartments are nice but overpriced for services provided. For over $[removed]per month you get a 1br/1bath apartment, 1 meal per day, transportation provided if needed only 2 days per week and some activities like bingo, outings, etc. A life alert button is given to residents to wear around their neck. The resident I have there fell and couldn't get up, pressed the button for help and nobody came for 45 minutes. The person who came was the front desk receptionist, who called EMS to come help him up and they left him without checking him out. I called EMS the next day because he was in pain and he was transported to the hospital where they found he had a broken bone in his foot, bruised ribs and was in AFib. He was treated in the hospital over a week and sent to skilled nursing for further care for 20 days. You're just as well off to live in an apartment than independent living at this facility for $[removed] per month.

I probably would still recommend because I saw where she came from, and honestly even some of the best places still eventually reveal some flaws. Mom's opinions are colored by other issues that have little to do with the facility itself, but rather her mental health as a nonagenarian with possible untreated depressive tendencies

My husband went into hospital two days in a row for falls in June. It was determined by doctors and Harmony that he needed more skilled nursing than Harmony could provide. This happened on [date removed] We paid for the whole month of June which is a lot of $$. They will not even respond let alone refund from the [dates removed]. My husband is a Vietnam veteran. He deserves better and we always paid on time.

The difficulties at this facility involves the lack of and rapid turnover of staff. My parents are unhappy when things aren't uniformly done because the facility is scrambling for personnel. Also the kitchen rating has not been great and the assisted living section just had a bad report from some agency.

Housekeeping, Food Services are two areas where promises made on signing up but are not kept. Communication with residents from management is poor. I feel confident that these are the best independent living apartments in Savannah with most importantly washer/dryers in the apartments. My only caveat to this is that they need to work on housekeeping, cleanliness and food service.

She wasn't there that long. But we didn't have the best communication with the staff. The ones there seemed very overworked and communication we had with the higher ups was hard. They do need improvement with the staff and communication with the families

I'm in Assisted Living. 45 min wait is minimal for most calls. Staff is turning over, maybe better, but how soon??? Newly constructed building. Laundry done weekly, but left in basket on bed. I use a battery cart to get around . Dining Department has new chair. Lots of changes. Never know from day to day

We would give the overall experience a 3 1/2, and that is due to the turnover of administration. Other than the above & as he says "food needing more seasoning" everything is "ok". However, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

We dealt with some wonderful people and the facility itself is very nice. Negatives - we called the nurses station on the appropriate floor many times and not once did anyone answer and half the time the voicemail was full. - after our loved one left the facility, furniture was stolen from their room.

My loved one is currently a resident at Harmony at Chantilly and the overall experience has been okay so far. However, they are short staffed. Especially in the kitchen. My loved one does not like the food, this is a problem. The activities are good, though my loved one does not participate. The value for cost is good.

I never see much of the staff interacting with residents except the front desk.

I'm currently dealing with an issue related to an unexpected significant rate increase for my dad that we were not notified of in advance. Harmony appears to be well managed and the care givers for the most part have been very good. My primary complaint has been with what appears to be a new corporate policy of changing the point system for evaluating residents and raising care levels (multiple increments) and rates without prior notification or any clear justification.

Had an issue with my mother's unit flooding after a hard rain. This was on Friday over the 4th of July weekend. No maintenance person on duty. Sent emails asking for a response to the Executive Director and the maintenance Director. To this day, no response. A nurse, fortunately knew where their extractor was and I spent over two hours getting as much water as possible out of her carpets. If there becomes a mold issue, those unanswered emails won't be a good look for them.

Mom’s been there for 2 mos-during that time we hear regular complaints about the meal quality-many times over or under cooked meats and side dishes. I know this is a common complaint in care facilities, but given the rental rates, she expected better. Longer term residents have told us that the meals “used to be really good, but they’ve gotten steadily worse over the past few months.” Our primary concern is their staffing difficulties which leave one aide to cover an entire floor of residents each weekend. This causes lengthy delays in assistance and more than once no one has come to take her to the dining room. The staff is very courteous and helpful, and the facilities themselves are quite nice. They’re clean and very well kept, from what we’ve seen. This could be a stellar place if they could increase the number of good caregivers and improve the quality of the meals.

Floors are always dirty esp in her room and her sheets are never changed. Commode is at times dirty and she never has water in her room to drink. Other wise they are kind give her good care .Wonder also how often she goes to activities. Seems to be in bed sleeping anytime we visit.

It's clean and a pleasant place to live. The apartment was relatively spacious compared to others that I looked at.

A beautiful retirement facility. All of the staff associates were nice enough. I signed the contract for a new residence for my mother, & left a [amount removed] deposit. I was told up front my mother could only be admitted if she passed a mobility assessment which was understandable as a state prerequisite. Bottom line mother failed it. I had to find a long term care facility for mom. I asked for my deposit back. That was end of Feb 2024. Was told it could be 60-90 days. It's been approximately 60 days, & I have had zero communication from Harmony since that last call concerning the deposit return. It could be coming in the future, but I anticipate I may have to initiate another call at the end of the 90 days.
