Harbor Chase was the only facility that had an opening in [date removed] when my Mom was discharged from the hospital. The Executive Director and other staff changed numerous times during the one year she was there. Very unresponsive when requesting information. Charged for things that my Mom did not have done. Was constantly bringing thing up to management with no response

I can even explain how terrible my experience has been here. This is an experience I will never forget. The staff is very incompetent and such lack of communication. I feel very guilty that I placed my husband here.

My sister was barely there and went back to hospital. Originally she was incorrectly assessed of her ability to care for self. The nurse who initially assessed her only listened to what she said she could do instead of having my sister show her. It took several days for her to be reassessed. When she was released she went to your sister facility for rehab. There she was poorly managed. Her lab values showed she was going into kidney failure and she was ordered IV therapy but she did not get this until the next day when she was in sever condition. She went back to hospital and shortly after that went on hospice and passed away. [name removed] at HarborChase was always difficult to reach.

Harbor Chase is not a safe place at this time. It is so understaffed that my loved one didn't receive the hygiene care she was told to expect (and needed). She often didn't receive her medications at all, or had to ask that she be given them. Medication record keeping is haphazard. It appears that there are not enough staff members in the medical team or in the patient care team. They offer incentives to sign on, then place new conditions on them. The Executive Director tried to excuse staff's mistakes by offering alternative explanations that blamed my loved one. I hope APFM will assess whether it should refer Harbor Chase to other families. We are currently looking at other residences.

They were awful I had to take my mom out after 2 weeks. That memory care unit should be shut down. Management is horrible. The staff mistreated her, stole her medicines, left her alone for hours, and, didn't bath her. I brought her home on Hospice and mom passed away in Feb.

They were terrible. They need to fire everyone and start over.

It was close to home and was marked as the best in the area right across from the hospital, which was helpful because he spent more time as the hospital than in their service. We hadn't left 5 min after finally getting him settled and he was rushed to the hospital only for us to find out after the fact. No one did a welcome/intro to anything. I would say to stay away.

When my husband moved into HarborChase of Palm Beach Gardens, no one was there to take him on a tour and explain things to him. The one excellent employee was the maintenance man, he was incredible. I would never have anyone go to a Memory Care facility on a Friday. We had a big issue with mismanaged medications. As a result of med mismanagement, my husband did not sleep. He would roam around at night, so they had me get him a personal 24 hour aide. They did not take any responsibility for the mismanagement of meds, which I believe led my husband on a quick downward spiral. He was a resident at HarborChase for a very short time before he passed away. I would never recommend HarborChase of Palm Beach Gardens to others.

I had a relative there for four years until. Ovid hit. She got sick and they kept giving her cough medicine. One week later went to hospital and passed away. Could not get her belongings for four months snd then they cleaned our apartment without family going to pack it up. Would not recommend

My loved one was a resident at HarborChase of Villages Crossing and the experience at this facility was terrible. It started out good and went down hill fast. As the caring staff left, everything went terrible. They gutted the staff, two housekeepers for the whole facility, [name removed] left and the morale tanked, there are no real activities, they cut back on food choices, medication mistakes increased. They need to higher MORE caring staff in all departments, this is the biggest thing. Under no circumstances would I recommend HarborChase of Villages Crossing. It's sad because, at one time, it was a good facility.

I have nothing good to say. They are nice to you until the contract is signed and then your ignored. I asked an elder abuse gentleman why it is like this? His response was they don't have to care. All they want is a body in the room and the money coming in. HarborChase was not a good experience. There was no communication about my loved ones care. I heard a caretaker yelling at a dementia patient. It was upsetting to hear. Major lack of care for [amount removed] a month. It's all about greed not looking out in the best interest for elders. The state should get involved and make these senior living places better.

Beautiful location, and setting but the staff are not measuring up to the pledge they portray. My beloved grandmother is always soiled her clothing always missing , she's never encouraged to walk, just sits in a chair until her feet swells up. The staff they assigned to her , wear a frown they are never available yo help and are very nasty when you ask for help. One told me in her limited vocabulary "do I look like I sit around doing nothing "I was speechless I ended up toileting and putting my grandmother to bed myself, not the first time . I've been in the healthcare industry for 19 years from the icu to outpatient surgical center to think of all I have service now it's my turn to ask for help which I pay more than my own mortgage for and I'm treated this way . #traumatic to be continued

How come I see one or two housekeepers busting behind on every floor while the head housekeeper is out on phone smoking at least 6-10 times a day . Is this what we pay for ? Let me know . Especially cruel to be lazy

Over promise during the initial move-in, very unhappy, over priced, understaffed, directors come & go, services charged for, not preformed. So many other communities around the area that provide what they promise. I would never recommend this community to any of my friends or family. Very poorly managed.

Beautiful place,but it is all a facade. Staff turnover is high and management is poor. Look elsewhere if you want your loved one to have a positive experience

The value for cost may be good, but in terms of care there needs to be major improvement. We pulled our loved one out within just a couple weeks of moving there because it was so bad.

HarborChase has a new director, and she is really trying to do her best and make the necessary improvement, but everything stems from the care team and lack of management. The care team has a lack of attention, and have just not met the promises given to us. It was not what we were expecting. We came to HarborChase because they said they were family friendly but right now they are only allowing families into the lobby. we feel at times we made a mistake.

We did not have a good experience at HarborChase of Tamarac and I ended up moving my mom out. If your loved one is independent it would be fine, but if they need any type of care like showering, bathing, eating, etc. it is not good and I would not recommend.

I DO NOT recommend HarborChase if you care about your loved one. Majority of the staff are uncaring and times NASTY. I will start with Laura, the Manager of the facility. Before my mom moved in, promises were made on how I will be about to communicate with her. After the week she moved in, the rules were changed and I needed advocate for her to maintain communication. Not long after my mother moved into Harbor Chase her Teeth were lost. [name removed] told me "apparently they were thrown out". [amount removed] of dental work thrown out.. I will commend [name removed] and [name removed] . 2 of the staff who actually responded to my moms care. The staff would arrange FaceTime calls with me and put my mom in front of a TV where she could not i hear or talk to her. ONLY if [name removed] was there was the request acknowledged. One night my mother fell out of bed and needed to go to the hospital for a staple in her head. The next day staff was unaware. [name removed] is very Nasty If you care about your loved ones, stay away

I would tell others not to place your loved ones here. The nurses aides were cruel, shamming. The administrative team wouldn't take care of my loved one. The care was absolutely horrible. There was no communication and there is high turnover with all staff. The staff at the front desk were always nice though.
