Our tour at HarborChase was fine. I thought it was a very nice facility. The only problem was the layout for independent living was too spread out, and it was too far of a walk to the main lobby.

Our loved one was only there for a shot time, but during that time the community was really well kept. The meals looked very tasty, and they had a good amount of activities for the residents to participate in. At times they did seem understaffed, but we know that was due to the pandemic so we do not fault them for that. Our loved one really did thrive there and did well there.

We are looking for a place IN the Villages. Very nice! Price for food is separate. Age in place is great too.

I believe they are short staffed. The staff that are there are wonderful. They have wonderful food here for the residents. There are lots of different activities available for the residents to choose from. The community tries to accommodate and see to all the resident's needs. I think it is good as they try to go above and beyond for the residents and families.

It's a good community and my loved one is well taken care of. The director is very caring but the admin is too far removed from the care side. communication is good with the caregivers but with administration, it is very week. I would recommend this community to others as long as you are aware of the shortcomings

This was a beautiful community, it was just twice as much money as another we found. I think that was because It was a very new community and much larger. It seemed like a very nice place, with nice rooms, and the staff seemed nice. I would just pop by unannounced, to see what was going on since my loved one has dementia and can't necessarily tell me. I didn’t see anything that was weird. During activities time, it looked like most people were there participating. There were a couple of groups based on different abilities. They seemed very interactive with their residents.

We chose HarborChase of Southlake because we had used them in the past and had a really good experience. The room sizes here are very nice and spacious. They were excellent with communication since we were not able to go inside and visit with our loved one. In the beginning the food was delicious, when she moved into memory care it was not the same. I think it is a lovely place, they have a conducive atmosphere to home living and it is just a beautiful comfortable place to be in. I would absolutely recommend them.

What really worked out for our family is even during the pandemic, the community did not have to many restrictions so we were still able to visit our loved one. We would recommend this community to others.

The staff members at the community are super, and we thought the care services were wonderful. From our understanding our loved one seemed to enjoy the meals they served, and we thought the value was completely worth it. We have even recommend HarborChase to other friends and families.

I believe this is an excellent assisted living facility for many reasons. First, its location off Rt. 1 is so easily reached. It is near stores and entertainment such as The Kate theater named after Katharine Hepburn. It is close to Yale museums and the seashore. Besides offering excellent activities and food, the van provides scenic & out-trip rides and transportation to doctor appointments.

The meals and dining service is pretty good, and they do a good job keeping the community clean. Due to the covid restrictions the activities have been kept pretty limited.

My mother lived at Harbor Chase for approx 4 years and was taken care of very well and made many friends. Exec Director and Director of Nursing do a great job.

The staff who are here are very helpful and they really do care and are trying their hardest. They do seem to be understaffed, especially in the evenings. For a small organization, they are very compartmentalized with their duties. Overall, I am pleased with the quality of care and I would recommend them to others who are looking.

like the family dining room - 2-br suite we looked at was a little smaller than we'd like but like the atmosphere

This community was wonderful, and the executive director was absolutely amazing. The activities were great, our loved one was just able to participate in a lot of them, but they did offer a lot of variety. The person who was the activities was excellent and the value was excellent.

We love Harbor Chase. Please get a hairdresser in. Residents hair looks terrible. It's been 6 months. Extend outside /table visiting hours from Monday – Wednesday- Friday to Monday - Wednesday - Friday - Saturday - Sunday or every day . Thank you for taking care of my parents.

Mom has lived here for two years. She is very well cared for by both staff and Care Partners. She is a very high-functioning 93 year old. So, I would like more activities that cognitively stimulate her, other than bingo. They're covid protocols have been great!

Harbor Chase is a beautiful complex. Hubby is in memory care here. It's close to home and I would spend a couple hours a day with him until Covid. But, he's being treated so well by his Care Partners – no place is perfect. But very pleased.

Seem to care about their residence and it's very clean. Mom seems content. I do feel they should regularly communicate with family members. Mom doesn't use a phone and they don't give us regular updates on her care. We always have to call and ask someone for a status. I feel with covid, at least one family member should be able to go in to see residents, their apartment, etc. once a month at least.
