I would tell others that so much depends on whether they have had prior experience with a facility or not. I had my parents in other facilities, and you really have to keep on top of things and not assume anything. Harbor Chase of Plano is better than some and no worse than some. But it is very pricey and gives appearance of being like a higher end hotel.

My ratings reflect that if you are fully independent, this is a great place. But if you are having an underlying and progressive issue, there was a tendency to look the other way. Communication from staff, never a word from them about issues that my loved one's friends there saw and mentioned to me.

HarborChase of Daytona Beach is a newer community and we really do like the place it is really nice. The people are very caring and they do seem to be doing their best to improve, but they do have some kinks to work out. When our loved one was moving in during the holiday season there was some miscommunication, and we wish they were more forth coming on what to expect. We do know they have activities like exercise classes and craft classes. There also is a vehicle there, but we aren't sure if they have taken residents out on day trips yet.

I toured this facility and the tour went well.

As with any new business, there have been adjustments. Cadence was just bought by a Canadian company. I would say that the adjustments are calming down, and we are happy about the changes.

I toured with The Hearth at Tuxis Pond and it was fine. There was really nothing negative that I saw about the place. It was the furthest away from where I live, so location wise that just put the facility at the bottom of our list. The tour was good though.

I have had a good experience with all my requests for improving things for my husband. It was a period of adjustment for me also. The administration has been outstanding on answering questions that I have had. They have accommodated his medical visits out of the building with good care.

They are very responsive, listened to my concerns and opinions. Everyone I've dealt with there has been genuinely nice and cares about not only what's best for my mom, but also what helps me out as well. I highly recommend this place and recently had an acquaintance move her mother in law here from another facility - she didn't ever leave her room at the previous one, and is now thriving at HarborChase

The facility is new and it was the right size, not too big and not too small. Rooms are very nice and food offerings are exceptional.

Education on Alzheimer's behavior and Hospice protocol

My loved one is blind from a medical condition so that affects how they can participate in activities. I very much appreciate Activity Staff and their important contribution to making this life better. Difficulty in keeping enough staff is reason for downgrade in Care Services. Caregivers they have are caring and respectful. The atmosphere here is warm and caring.

The community is very clean. The staff is phenomenal, the room is very nice and the food is decent believe it will be better once they hire a cook. I would recommend and pick this community again for my loved one. All the staff is very nice down to the janitors. The community has happy hour but they don't have a lot of activities, I would like my loved one to do some more activities that is provided.

Harbor Chase is a beautiful facility but for me the caregiver it seemed too cold. Staff was friendly. It is a larger facility. It felt more like a hotel environment rather than the homey environment we were looking for.

HarborChase of Naperville was a lovely place. It looked like a Michigan Avenue hotel. With the number of people in the Assisted Living section though, I wasn’t confident that the smaller Memory Care section would get all of the attention the people there needed.

It's a pretty clean facility. My loved one does not like the food. Also, they do not want to participate in activites , and they do offer a lot of activities. We picked this community because, the people were super nice, the lobby was clean, although the room is outdated. Other than that, they do a lot for the residents.

Overall was a very nice friendly community from what we saw on our tour.

It is a good place and the staff was very nice. They did seem to be very short of staffing. So that led to some issues with assistance on certain issues. Overall it seemed to be a very nice place and very caring.

In the area, it's about as good as you're going to get - but you need to understand that they have the same problem as everyone else which is a shortage of staff. They are understaffed, but everyone is and it's hard to get staff especially in this type of environment. It is a good facility, they just struggle because of their staffing situation. 90% of the staff I love and I have recommended the facility to a couple other people, one of which has moved their loved one in. My biggest complaint is that since Covid they have pretty much stopped activities. For whichever reason, they are having difficulty finding someone to take care of that aspect. They had an activity director, she was doing very well and people liked her, but they moved her to memory care. If you're loved one isn't in memory care, then those activities wont appeal to them like making bookmarks with paper & glue, bingo or coloring - and that's it. They used to have painting classes and daily activities through bus outings. That's one of the only disappointments and one of the biggest complaints they have, everything else is okay.

The facility went through a labor staffing issue but they have a great facility in a great location. It is very well maintained. Anytime I reached out they were always friendly and very nice and responded back.
