My loved one is blind from a medical condition so that affects how they can participate in activities. I very much appreciate Activity Staff and their important contribution to making this life better. Difficulty in keeping enough staff is reason for downgrade in Care Services. Caregivers they have are caring and respectful. The atmosphere here is warm and caring.

The community is very clean. The staff is phenomenal, the room is very nice and the food is decent believe it will be better once they hire a cook. I would recommend and pick this community again for my loved one. All the staff is very nice down to the janitors. The community has happy hour but they don't have a lot of activities, I would like my loved one to do some more activities that is provided.

Harbor Chase is a beautiful facility but for me the caregiver it seemed too cold. Staff was friendly. It is a larger facility. It felt more like a hotel environment rather than the homey environment we were looking for.

HarborChase of Naperville was a lovely place. It looked like a Michigan Avenue hotel. With the number of people in the Assisted Living section though, I wasn’t confident that the smaller Memory Care section would get all of the attention the people there needed.

It's a pretty clean facility. My loved one does not like the food. Also, they do not want to participate in activites , and they do offer a lot of activities. We picked this community because, the people were super nice, the lobby was clean, although the room is outdated. Other than that, they do a lot for the residents.

Overall was a very nice friendly community from what we saw on our tour.

It is a good place and the staff was very nice. They did seem to be very short of staffing. So that led to some issues with assistance on certain issues. Overall it seemed to be a very nice place and very caring.

In the area, it's about as good as you're going to get - but you need to understand that they have the same problem as everyone else which is a shortage of staff. They are understaffed, but everyone is and it's hard to get staff especially in this type of environment. It is a good facility, they just struggle because of their staffing situation. 90% of the staff I love and I have recommended the facility to a couple other people, one of which has moved their loved one in. My biggest complaint is that since Covid they have pretty much stopped activities. For whichever reason, they are having difficulty finding someone to take care of that aspect. They had an activity director, she was doing very well and people liked her, but they moved her to memory care. If you're loved one isn't in memory care, then those activities wont appeal to them like making bookmarks with paper & glue, bingo or coloring - and that's it. They used to have painting classes and daily activities through bus outings. That's one of the only disappointments and one of the biggest complaints they have, everything else is okay.

The facility went through a labor staffing issue but they have a great facility in a great location. It is very well maintained. Anytime I reached out they were always friendly and very nice and responded back.

I have an extra nurse with our person for part of the day. I think the nursing attention could be a little bit better than it is, including responses to questions and concerns. But otherwise it's okay.

This community was just not appropriate for my loved ones condition. The tour was great and I was able to see everything and I got all of the information that I needed from the community. It was just not the right fit for what my loved one needed.

my loved one was in bad shape with Alzheimer's, so there wasn't much the staff at HarborChase could do. they did their job, and they did what was expected of them. overall, it was an okay experience.

we're really pleased with HarborChase. my husband seems to be adjusting well and likes the community. they offer a lot of amenities, I would recommend to friends and family. a good environment that doesn't smell like a stereotypical nursing home, very clean as well.

HarborChase of Riverwalk was our second choice. It was a very nice facility and we enjoyed talking with the staff, but we decided to go with another HarborChase location that was a bit smaller in size.

They are overly friendly at this community. They worked with us on everything. They are short staffed right now so the meals do come out late sometimes. Aside from this this is a great community and the care is good its just them being short staffed right now.

We had a good tour with HarborChase, all of the staff were friendly and helpful. We decided against this facility because it had an elevator and we thought mom would get confused.

I have had my mother there for nearly three years and at first was a little concerned when things went missing like remotes or the cleanliness of the room. Overall I knew this was a safe place for mom. I knew they would do what was needed to protect and monitor her health. I was really annoyed that I wasn't ever cued to get more incidental or the sheets weren't being changed or as she became incontinent mattress wasn't protected. A lost comforter was also a cause for concern. Well after the come to Jesus meeting, we concluded the comforter was for ever misplaced. The management make it clear to go out buy what was missing and they would credit the bill in fact exceeded my expectations. In the most recent hire the director over the nursing care has stepped up the services. Mom being a diabetic she has arranged to have an endocrinologist to make onsite visits, beside the podiatrist in short they are making the care of mom much easier on myself. Julian

They had smaller rooms. This was a nice community. However, the initial offer was changed after I got home.
