Everybody was very very friendly. On the day he passed away the staff all came in and were hugging me telling me how sorry they were. I give them a very good rating. I don't think anyone would be sorry to put their family in here. The administrative staff were wonderful. The chef was great too and would always come in to check on us and see if we needed anything. The nurses were so caring as well and their response time was quick, even the laundry gal was amazing. I was there everyday so I got a really good feel for how things were. Overall it was a very good experience.

The staff is amazing! The nurse and memory care director have been there for several years and exude compassion. Great leadership here, all staff are engaging! Resort-like too!!

My Mom loved the place but didn't want a multi level place for my loved one.

It's my loved ones second facility. The transition has been terrific. A much better experience than the first one. They offer a variety of activities for the residents. They do a great job of keeping them engaged during the games.

I really liked HarborChase of Riverwalk. Out of the several places we toured, they were my favorite one. If I would have had the final say, I would have put my parents there. I liked the way the building was situated. I felt it would have been very convenient and less confusing for my parents to get around there. I REALLY liked that they had this special program that was in between assisted living and memory care, which I think would have been prefect for my parents. In the end we chose a community located in North Carolina since South Carolina can’t do a lot of things medically. I felt as my parents aged and progressed in their illness, we would end up back in North Carolina anyway.

Our family had an in person tour and this community is like living in a very luxurious resort. People were having fun playing bingo and poker, and they have nice sized apartments. However it is exceptionally expensive, and the issue we saw is if you have mobility issues you will definitely need a scooter to live here. Even just walking to the dining room you have to walk down big long hallways and use elevators. The residents do have the option to eat in the high end restaurant which is beautiful but only for a certain amount of "points" per month.

Our family has had an excellent experience. It's a nice facility. The staff are friendly. And the care is adequate.

The memory care residents don't get a choice of entrees; however, there are some options for the residents to choose from. We have been pleased with the community and it has been a positive step for our loved one. The staff are excellent and wonderful to work with. There are activities for the residents in assisted living to choose from and participate in.

We are very pleased with HarborChase, they have taken a personal interest in our loved one and one of the best things the staff does is go beyond their day to day job duties and actually engage with our loved one. They figure out things she likes and has interest in so they can build a bond. They also do a really good job encouraging our loved one to come out and watch the activities

My parents have been really happy here. Dad had to have a major surgery, and Harbor Chase was really the only place that could provide the care that he needed afterward. And they've done excellently with that. The staff have all been excellent, especially the two [name removed]s. There's a nurse and a CNA both named [name removed], and they both have been such good caretakers for my parents. The director, [name removed], is awesome as well. She took her time to show me some things and didn't make me feel like she was being put out at all. [Name removed] has also been a very kind person. She's the one who helped me get them into Harbor Chase at the beginning.

This community did not have the level of care that my loved one needed.

I liked this community but the other community that we were looking at was better and we just had to go with it.

This community was nice but it was too busy and too many people for my loved one. I was afraid that he would have been lost.

It's been great. They've been very diligent about getting my loved one physical therapy and getting him to push his call button to ask for help with transfers. Everybody I've come into contact with has been very helpful. It's a bit pricey, but they do a great job.

Our experience here has been wonderful. We moved from another facility because my sister was board where she was. At Harborchase she has been having so much fun! The room size is perfect for what she needs. The staff are always so nice and willing to help. The food is delicious and there is always something for her to do. The facility is clean and well kept. I would recommend to anyone looking for a facility in the Sarasota area to go there.

As a widow living alone in a large split-level house for several years, my Mother became aware she could no longer maintain herself and we began the search for an adult living community. We chose the HarborChase for its proximity to all needed facilities, plus it was centrally located for her family to visit. We were amazed how well she has adjusted to her new life when she moved in. Even now, at 93, she has never been in better health or better spirits. She enjoys her daily activities and all the new friends she has made. Her great grand children thinks she lives in a palace and they are not far wrong. HarborChase is clean, accommodating and thoroughly dedicated to the welfare of their patrons. Best of all, we know Mom is still independent while under excellent care.

My dad moved to Harbor Chase from another local Assisted Living Facility almost 5 years ago. He liked the linen tablecloths and "real" napkins. They had just opened and the place was and remains absolutely beautiful. Dad wasn't really cut out for assisted living life when he moved in as he was quite independent, stubborn, and sometimes a bit grouchy. The staff would have none of it and worked on him tirelessly to get him more involved. In short order we witnessed quite a change as dad was no longer available because of the afternoon poker game, the field trips to all sorts of destinations, and other scheduled events. We were relived, happy, and even a bit surprised at the change they were able to make as he seemed to embrace the assisted living experience. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff! HarborChase opened my eyes to an entire new concept and I would without hesitation recommend HarborChase of Sarasota to anyone.

My mom moved into HarborChase of Sarasota's Assisted Living two years ago. We loved HarborChase since we first walked through the front door. We are always greeted with a smile. My mom loves her apartment. She always tells me she is heading home to her apartment. She loves having dinner in the dining room with her friends. Chef [name removed] always prepares such wonderful meals. We love joining mom for Sunday brunch and she loves hosting us. More importantly we never have to worry about mom being taken care of. We know she is always safe and happy at HarborChase.

HarborChase is the best thing that happened to our mom. She has lived here for 5 years. She started in Assisted Living and has recently moved to Memory Care. We couldn't be happier with the Memory Care Director [name removed] and the Activities Director [name removed]. Her stay in Memory Care has surpassed our expectations. She is thriving.
