They do not have locks on the doors and she did not mention "memory secure". I have also heard about staffing issues since they are new.

Spoke with the marketing person a few times. Said he would be willing to get Mom and bring her their for a tour.

Pros: Interesting place, 1 bedrm apt adequate. Menu ok Cons: cleanliness?, large facility-could father navigate with blindness?

Mom was here for over a year. This is a very large facility with very little staff. I would avoid if your loved one actually needs any care.

I am not as impressed with the staff as I expected. they don't keep up with the clients like the should if the clients don't get around easily. cleaning crew not as good as Brookdale.

Some staff at this place is very friendly and some will paint a picture to think they are but watch it. I notice the staff meaning cna are over worked and they are always short on shifts, the carpet is dirty in hallways and rooms and the place is very hot sometimes. Ive also heard and seen this building has bedbugs...... many many reported cases of bedbugs, do your background history before you put your love ones there. Ask around to people that stay there they will tell you.

Mom thinks the food at this community is ok. They do not offer an orientation or a meet and greet with a new resident. There is a fee to have a nurse escort your loved one to and from the dining hall. They do offer some daily activities, however they do not communicate these very well. Her room is nice they keep it and the community clean. This community just does not seem to be working for my mom.

This is an older worn out community. They did let us know that they were going to be doing some remodeling. The community seemed clean and the person we spoke to was friendly and knowledgeable.

It seemed like a Medicaid joint. The people creeped me out. It was dark and dingy and I was afraid mother might get mugged. I didn't like it at all.

They had a ED that was awful a lot of good employees left they cared less all they have now is agency people they need to get all the employees back that left how can you have people cooking for the residents and cleaning the floors maybe a certificate should be in place

I have had issues with some communication and follow-up with Concord. Disappointed with that. Facility like driver of community bus, receptionist, cafeteria staff, church pastors, are great. I would still recommend them based off of the overall facility itself and price factor.

The amount of rudeness I received from the RECEPTIONIST is insane. I toured this facility with [name removed] which was very nice, professional and thorough providing excellent details regarding facility. I called and asked to speak with [name removed] (I believe she is the new director) and instead of being transferred to her I was transferred to a nurse.. I called back and the receptionist yelled at me telling me I have the wrong place and hung up on me. I called back repeatedly which she would not answer until I called from a different number. If the receptionist is rude I could only imagine how they treat residents. I wouldn't dare put my love one here.

We took a tour of The Grand at Twin Lakes during our search for an Independent Living facility for our loved one. This facility was okay. Everyone seemed friendly during our visit. The facility was a little less cozy and comfortable than some of the others that we toured. Nice facility, but too big for my loved one.

I Considered this a quality facility when I moved in, now years later it has lost its “Grandness”. Yes covid did not help, but cleanliness of the building, has suffered, the landscaping was considered enviable but the courtyard is in need of major help. What was initially fine dining is now basic diner type food, nothing special. And they cannot keep a chef. Overall decor could use a facelift, after 4+ years it’s needs an update. You might ask why am I still here? The residents have become friends. And the economy as it is now keeps me from moving now.

Our family had an in person tour and the staff we spoke with over the phone were very nice, but it was totally different when we come for the tour in person - just nothing we were expecting.

I would recommend you look elsewhere for a place for your loved one. There are times that I have to wait days to get through to the staff to check on my loved one. I don't hear from medical staff on how my loved one is doing, so I hired an outside agency nurse to care for my loved one. The person that is in charge of the entire community has been rude. He was sarcastic and I was surprised by how he treated the family while speaking to him. [name removed] has been great to work with, and [name removed] in the finance department has been good to work with as well.

We had a terrible experience with our tour here. They had no covid protocols at all, we had to wear masks during the tour but the employee showing us around did not. The staff were not warm or welcoming, in fact they were rude at times. They did not know any of the residents by name because they said they had too many of them. The location is not great either, it is off of an expressway and by and industrial park, so everything is concrete. There is no outdoor area for the residents to enjoy. The guy showing us around was nice and really trying, but it was not a good experience.

I feel the money wasn't going towards their residents in memory care. The assisted living was very nice. In the memory care they could do a revamp of décor. I didn't see a lot of the residents during the tour.

The community is too big and they have issues with maintaining the building and the elevators are always broken. They are like a used car salesman, they are just about getting people in the community and then really don't care. Some of the care services were not being done. If you are 100% competent and mobile then this community would work if not I would not recommend it.

I'm still trying to adapt.
