Staff and management are great, very caring. Beautiful facility. Gave a '4' due to food not being consistent as far as tastefulness and quality.

Staff is friendly, it's in a beautiful and ideal location, beautifully decorated, SC house calls and visits, activities for everyone, transportation to appointments, etc. It allows my Mom to be independent while still feeling safe. Everything has been wonderful minus the food really needs improvement

Be patient and don't expect perfection. Nothing is perfect. However, the staff care and are working hard to make your mom/dad/loved one comfortable and happy. The staffs personalities may not match with your loved one but don't be judgmental, weigh all things as fair as possible.

The facility and staff are very concerned and focused on resident needs. They work very hard to provide a happy and active environment. The food is good and they were the only facility we found with really nice cottages ( with yards for pets ) as well as apartments for easy access to facilities.

I think it's a great facility I would live there if I could I just couldn't convince my mom to stay because she's not social and wants to be waited on hand and foot by her kid. I would tell others that they can feel comfortable in knowing that their loved ones are truly cared for living there

Staff are very helpful and friendly. Plenty of activities and outings for the residents. The grounds in the front of the building are well maintained but not in the back of the building. Sidewalks need power washing, path lighting needs new bulbs, very little landscaping. The biggest complaint is about the food. Some items served cold (like a cheeseburger!!), portions are very small. Residents are very vocal about the food. I keep my family member's apartment well stocked for that reason. I feel that he is very safe there, so no concerns about safety.

The staff is friendly. However huge turn over.

This community is clean brightly lit and friendly. Yes, we would recommend Northgate Park to other families based on the experience so far

The Highlands: place, staff and residents have been excellent! I would definitely recommend if: you enjoy art, music, gardening and the company of residents who are retired teachers and professors.

he facilities are excellent and the staff seems to do a good job. We have been happy with it!

The care staff is very sociable and with cheery personalities. The facility itself is also bright and cheery with lots of windows and light coming in. It is also a newer facility. There are three categories of living there which are independent living, assisted living and Memory Care. One thing I thought that was quite nice was that they have a group of volunteers from both the independent living and assisted living that volunteer with activities for the folks in memory care. There's also an enclosed outdoor area off of the cafeteria that has pretty flowers and plants. My mom and I sat out there quite often and enjoyed the weather and the foliage.

Quality of care I didn't need any care. There are some people in here that are part of vulnerable getting quite a bit of care, but I'm not one of them so I can't tell you about that. I do see people who don't know where they're going and I don't know why there's not someone with them, but I don't think it's up to this independent Care I think it's up to the private care that they're supposed to pay for and receive, but I don't know. I would say a four for administration only because there's one top person here that could be a little bit more friendly. food I would give it a 3 only because I have been at [community name removed] which is up on the 202 and Valvista right across in Mercy Hospital and their food was unbelievable. The two things that I had a problem with that as far as food is they serve the same thing at lunch and that they serve at supper and sometimes they're out of things before you halfway through dinner so dinner starts at four come down at five there are some things you might not get but don't blame it on the employees [name removed] the guy in Charge does a fantastic job with what he's given. I don't think they give enough money towards the food. I think that's the brookdale's total problem. activities again if you compare it to some of the others, they don't try very hard to help people get out of here. They take him to Walmart and stores like that but what about if you wanna go to the ball game they probably help you get a ride there cause they have a contract with a company not not Uber but you're paying for it. The other place I was at Woodford out once a month, a list of all the things happening in Phoenix even as far as one of the best live theater shows downtown at the theater to sports games whatever was really going on in Phoenix they printed out a list and you could check off your name saying you wanted to go they would add the price to your monthly bill and then take you and bring you home. There is no such out of network here so many miles is about all that they do. I think they need to do things that get people out more than just going over to the shopping center or out to lunch for example there was a flute show at Mesa community college I would've liked to have gone but getting there and coming back I could use Lyft, which is the company they use as far as getting a ticket that would be up to me but with another independent living facility around here, they would take total charge of it. That would be on one of their list as to what's going on this month in Phoenix whether it's Tempe or whatever. other than that, most of their activities are bingo and card games and exercise which I think 90% of the other ones have that's one thing you might wanna check out if you were going to stay within these four walls because after a year you're really going to be looking for a little bit more activities and you're going to get this is just the basics. as far as value for the money, I would give i 883 these kitchens are ancient. I don't know if that's because they think people never cook, but there is no icemaker no dishwashers no garbage disposal and the counter space is minimal at least if you can put a couple plates on there you'd be lucky even the independent living down the street over there off of Mcdowell. I realize it's only five or six years old, but they have a beautiful kitchen and it's $1k a month cheaper you probably already know that.

The size of the unit is good for them. Of course they would like larger because they are you still living in a house their entire lives so that's understandable. Mom loves the activities she really enjoys bingo. Sometimes they have an art class. I don't recall specifically what like a painting or something what she's enjoyed. They also have horse racing. She also loves that there's a hair salon because she can get her hair done once or twice a week which makes her feel good. It would be nice if they could start a book club or perhaps have like a mobile podiatrist unit to properly trim the toenails as I see that as a challenge with our seniors. Dad really enjoys the fitness center. He wishes there were more equipment to use but he goes almost every morning. I did notice upon my last visit that on the weekends, the laundry room garbage is not being emptied and it's literally piling over. Also, I had put in a maintenance ticket because one of the dryers in the laundry room near my parents really doesn't work well and from what I understand it still wasn't fixed.

I am very pleased with the facility. My backyard is like a well-groomed park, full of birds and squirrels. The food is enjoyable and most of the people are friendly (there's always some who knows it all). Thank you for helping me find this place.

Staff is wonderful and caring. Rooms are nice. [name removed] has a nice one bedroom but the studios are nice as well. The food is good. They do have things for the residents to do. My brother just doesn't attend them very often.

This is a nice place to live. But, I am not adjusting well. It's clean, very friendly, has LOTS of varied activities. It's a little more expensive than I would like and I wonder how I will be able to afford it with the raises in rent yearly. I don't want to build the place up but it is comfortable.

Residents well taken care of, facility kept clean, food is excellent quality and great choices on the everyday menu. The facility nurse is skilled at coordinating care between doctors, hospice care etc. She provides complete understandable information to me when I ask questions. The staff is very friendly and treats the residents with kindness and compassion. The Administrator is always available to answer and questions or concerns. Activities are varied and fun with exercise, crafts, games, musical entertainment and trips! I am glad I choice this facility for my mother's remaining years.

Great facility - food is good. Don't wait too long to move in - in order to take advantage of the activities

What they could improve on would be less fatty, greasy, salty food. The billing processes. The jacuzzi needs painting. Quicker food service and less cranky staff
