The executive director and sales director were very forthcoming and informative. They answered all of our questions and volunteered information we didn't know we should ask. They have been supportive and accommodating all along. The head nurse is on top of things. She has been a good coach letting us know what physical requirements my father would have to satisfy in order to move in. So far, a very good experience.

I think the place itself is great. My dad has a very nice apartment setup and I'm comfortable knowing he is there. As someone who is out of the area and unable to see him and check on him I think I have a unique perspective that may be beneficial for other caregivers and family members who may be out of state from their loved ones and not as involved in their care. I do find that communication has been somewhat difficult. My father has lost weight and dealt with some depression since arriving and I wish the staff made more of an effort to go to his room and encourage him to join activities or take his meal in the dining room etc. There has also been quite a disconnect between the facility and the VA. My father has a VA doctor and the facility has not had much success in keeping in contact with that doctor. The facility has continued to prescribe him medications and treatment even though I've explained that nothing is covered unless it goes thru the VA but that has not been followed- likely due to how difficult it is to communicate with the VA. But he is a veteran and those step need to be taken so he receives the full benefits he is entitled to.

1. Residents were welcoming & spoke highly of their time living there & most I met had been there for many years. 2. Ability to "age in place" in the same apartment/wing whether independent or assisted (doesn't have to relocate unless actual memory care is necessary. 3. Indoor pool

No activities available on weekends unless lead by residents. Food is too repetious and way too much chicken and fish. Baked potato is a luxury. No activities on the weekends and too many changes to the activity calendar. They spend too much time on activities they want instead of activities that would get residents out of their rooms. Very few informative classes. A creative activity director and one more assistant. The facility is fairly good. Lots of repair work going on now.

Great facility and floor plan options. Residents seemed happy. The corridors were a little confusing, but otherwise a very nice community.

Augustine landing very nice staff and residents very welcoming food and server top rated. Overall glad I moved here.

Plenty of opportunity to stay active with exercise programs daily, pleasant dining room for lunch and dinner, speakers occasionally, crafts, physical therapy is offered with order from physician.

The facility was clean but appeared dated with 90s style draperies in the dining area. The rooms were bright and tidy. Everyone greeted me and was friendly. The one bedroom unit was very tiny. The guide said the flooring had just been replaced and that finishing touches weren't done, yet. Also, that new appliances would be replacing the very outdated refrigerator and microwave.

The facility is lovely and the staff we met were compassionate and tried their best to meet our price point. Unfortunately, we couldn't afford the cost.

Only negative really would be the meals. I feel many of the options are not taking into consideration the conditions many seniors could have. Example too salty with no low salt options. Oh and of course [price removed] per month price hike per year. Is a bit extreme. Completely understand rising costs but [removed]k per year 10 to 12% it then makes it difficult to afford to stay. It's a shame.

The facility was clean and updated. The staff was friendly and helpful. We found out what services were offered. We had a good tour, questions answered and were able to see which units were available.

The faculty and staff are super friendly and actually take the time to talk to residents. They’re easy to approach and make the place feel welcoming. It’s nice seeing them interact with everyone and really care about the community.

Recently they hired more staff.. more CNAs... much better now. It is very clean, with beautiful facilities.

However, cost can be high when adding care levels. For average people probably out of price range. Don't care fir current administrators here. Their focus seems to be on money more than quantity of care issues. Facility itself is nice with new upgrades. Food is some improvement needed.

Staff is excellent in respect to taking care of my mom. Their good chef left a month or 2 ago so the food with the new chef isn't all that great. As far as the Director of the place and the head of the staff. I think they should have been more concerned with an incident my mom had as far as checking to see how she was doing afterward. But nurses and staff are all very attentive and helpful.

I think this is a good fit for my mom.

Thank you [names removed] for scheduling and providing a tour of Vista Pointe. We can not place our mother in this facility at this time until all remodeling and repairs have been completed. We do not want her to breathe in construction dust. Paint fumes. Etc.

My brother and sister recently toured the Highlands so I am reporting on what they told me. They were welcomed and were struck by how friendly the staff and residents are. They found the facilities attractive.

I believe that every family needs to be an advocate for their loved one. Dementia patients need to have someone to help them through their journey. My biggest concern is the cost.

Easy process, all were very helpful in the transition. Great place for seniors that are independent and do not require assistance.
