The staff members at the community would be a 5+ they have been excellent. So far we have had no issues and we are very comfortable with the people who work with our loved one, and they have good communication when we call with questions.

Brookdale Northbrook has been a safe, caring, and friendly place for my mom. The community is clean and well maintained. During the pandemic Brookdale North has been vigilant towards keeping the residents safe. They have done multiple Covid tests for residents and their employees. They have enforced the guidelines set up by the CDC and the state. My mom has accessed transportation to her doctors through Brookdale. She has enjoyed some of the entertainment provided. I wish she would get more involved in some of the activities offered. The staff has been very responsive to any of my concerns. I receive daily bulletins to keep me abreast of what is going on in the community. Overall Brookdale North has been a very good place for my mom to live.

Our mom has been a resident of the Brookdale Northbrook for about 1 1/2 years. Since mom moved there everyone on the staff has been attentive, professional and really wonderful to her. The staff has been excellent in getting her to and from doctor's appts., managing the Covid-19 situation, administration of the vaccines, etc. [Name removed], the Executive Director, keeps loved ones updated with emails containing current events, menus, activities and important information which is so meaningful especially during these unprecedented times. My brothers and I are comforted to know that mom is in a beautiful, clean and expertly run environment which instills confidence in us all and brings a tremendous amount of relief! Highly recommend!

My sister lives there and likes the community. I personally am a little disappointed because some of the promises the community made, they aren't doing due to COVID.

The community communication has been thorough during the pandemic. The residents will be getting vaccines next week. We could't be happier with our loved one here. They are thriving. We have been able to have balcony visits. The community has been doing renovations.

I chose Portside at Grande Dunes because of the location and my family researched it and liked the reviews the facility got. It is a beautiful place, they just opened a new division of independent living which is very nice and we get new people all the time. We have 4 new chefs so the food is improving from what it was. Overall, I love it here, it is a very warm and loving community.

They had a really great special going on when we signed up so that was a main reason that we chose the facility. They also give you a free birthday month so that has been awesome. The facility itself is set back and very peaceful and quiet environment. There is a lot of greenery and vegetation around it. Inside they have a lot of windows so it is very bright and cheerful and they also have a green house. He has a patio and it is looking out to a huge lawn and trees and it is really nice. He claims the food is fantastic. If you are in the military they have an honor wall for veterans. The only negative is they are understaffed so there are delays with doing some things. I would recommend to others who are looking.

You should put your loved one here. My loved one loves it here and they takes great care of them as well.

My husband and I just moved into The Landon and love it. The common areas are always so clean and inviting. Food is nutritious and varied and always available. Exercise is encouraged. The thing we like most is that it is an easy-going lifestyle and the staff are particularly ready to help. Be ready and open to accept opportunities for activities!

My sister, age 78, entered her Assisted Living apartment, fall of 2019. Unfortunately her health declined. She died [date removed]. I am a nurse and my husband a retired physician. Brookdale impressed us with their excellent staff in all their departments. We utilized their Home Health Care Department and Brookdale Personal Caregiver Services at times. Hospice care occurred in her apartment toward the end. The Nursing Director of Assisted Living coordinated her excellent care. Her personal needs were individualized and given in a loving way. As an avid horsewoman, horses and her cats played an integral part in her life. An example of Brookdale’s loving care, was a visit by a horse my sister knew well at the loading dock of this facility. Brookdale recognized how this contributed positively to her physical and emotional recovery at the time. Covid 19 issues were met quickly. Their very low positivity statistics are a testament to their concern for safety and health of their residents.

This community is a great place to live in every way. If they don't have it, they will find it. Thank you for your great service. I have been here 2 weeks.

Parkrose Estates is a very family oriented, caring place and was well run. The food here was very good, to the best of my knowledge I believe they were chef prepared meals. The facility also provided many activities for the residents to participate in. They always went above and beyond in a professional way, especially to help people adjust. I would absolutely recommend the community to others.

The community puts out a monthly calendar of activities for residents to choose from. I would recommend this community to others for their loved one. The staff is professional, including medication techs, and hair stylist are all kind to my loved one. This is a positive for me.

Very fortunate I am living at The Sheridan. It is a beautiful facility and the staff are professional, warm, and caring. Before the pandemic, my mom took advantage of the many programs and social opportunities, including art classes. She made many friends among the residents as well as the staff. Since the pandemic, the staff have done an excellent job keeping everyone safe.

We had a good experience at Collier Park. We chose this facility because the price was competitive and we knew the desk manager who worked here so that us more comfortable. The rooms are perfectly or more than adequate for his needs. My dad did enjoy the food here, he grew up on southern home cooking and they hit the spot with that. Overall, it is a very friendly atmosphere and it helps keeps your loved one engaged. I would absolutely recommend it.

The activities at this community are good here even with COVID, they have a nice big tent outside where everyone is separated. They have bingo, and live entertainment. I have my own apartment which has a large master bedroom, a nice living room, a den and a kitchen. They make food for you and deliver for you. The staff is very respectful, caring and very helpful.

Enthusiastically recommended! Our family member has been at this facility for 20 years, entered at age 74, is now 94. Throughout this entire period, the Brookdale team has demonstrated the highest caliber of professionalism on behalf of the residents and their family members. The physical plant is clean, cheerful, and well maintained. The apartments are nicely sized. There is a notable variety of programs and activities to keep the residents engaged and to maximize their well being, as well as numerous services (eg- transportation to medical appointments and/or shopping centers, et.al.) available. Best of all, the staff is very sensitive and responsive to the needs and requests of the residents and their family members. One can tell they "aim to please" and are willing to cheerfully go the extra mile. And over this past year as the elderly population has been particularly vulnerable to COVID, the conscientious, considered approach Brookdale has taken to balance the safety of its residents and associates while minimizing to the extent possible the emotional stress associated with new protocols has been exemplary. It is extraordinary that even after twenty years, we find this facility playing at the very top of its game!
