My father was there, in assisted living. Food was horrible and institutional. Activities were quite limited for more active residents. Nursing care was poor. Medical oversight was poor. It is also very hard to reach anyone in nursing or management by phone or email, and emails and messages are not returned. My active father became bed-ridden and dehydrated with an undiagnosed urinary tract infection and overdosing with anti-depressant, and lost 10 lbs (wasn't ever weighed) while they told the family he suffered from depression. He ended up in hospital and then rehab and then we found a new ALF. I would never want a family member in a place like this.

I was previously a resident at Portside at Grande Dunes. I would not recommend Portside to anyone. The meals were very repetitive and not that good. The two of us were paying almost $[removed] a month and it is definitely not worth it.

Before I put my mother in an assisted-living and now a memory care, I heard so many horrible things about these type of facilities. In light of that, we search long and hard to try to make sure we found the best place. At this point, I’m not sure if there is a best place. From the beginning Celebration village Forsyth has had some of the worst communication that I have ever experienced. You have to beg and plead and throw a tantrum for someone to communicate with you about some things tha they were supposed to do in the first place. There is no one really there who takes responsibility or seems to play a role of authority where they make things happen, it just doesn’t exist. Unfortunately, I feel like this is another one of those for profit facilities that does not give a damn as long as they have the bare minimum of warm bodies working in the facility. And lastly, in this description It states that there are walking trails for the residence and that is a lie. There is not one.

My loved one was previously a resident at Prestige Assisted Living at Mira Loma and the experience was not very good and was overall poor. I ended up moving my loved one to a different place. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Prestige Assisted Living at Mira Loma to others.

BLSD feels like a prison! I have no freedom to walk outside. A Place for Mom marketing is too aggressive.

Don't go there, too big and they just lose you.

After living 80+ years through the depression with next to nothing, and building from scratch their life savings to pay the exorbitant amount Point Pleasant asks to live there, given the meager tasteless thrown together food they offer at meals is absolutely criminal. I am disgusted by the greed of holding out on hiring a decent chef to produce good meals for what could and should be the highlight of these resident's day. They are constantly out of the most basic food items and will get anyone who is willing to cook, even waiters who have no experience cooking. To add insult to injury they raised the rent hundreds of dollars per month recently. This is totally unacceptable, and they should be ashamed. Sincerely, an angry son

I would NOT recommend this place at all. It starts with the Executive Director- he needs to be in charge and have difficult conversations with staff.

The girls on the floor are awesome... My Mother has been there for a year and well taken care of by the working girls... The office is another matter... They have an attitude with me for some reason... The head nurse had me wait for 2 hours to answer questions regarding my mom, and never showed up.... They don't keep you up to date, especially if your out of state... They know I'm 3000 miles away, so treat me like garbage... Like I said, the girls on the floor take good care, but the office people suck... They will suck all the money from you but don't inform or care at all...

Hire a new chef? And the food is awful. Either over done or raw. Everything is high starch fried or a casserole. Chicken/ pork four times a week. The only good meal.is breakfast. Special events price goes up and food bad. Undercooked potatoes and asparagus at mother's day. Why can't they swap rice for baked potatoes?only a half potatoe ? No gluten free, heart healthy, diabetic menus! This is not a healthy senior diet. Think twice before moving here. Dinner is suppose be a social enjoyable relaxing experience. Right now it is top concern for all residents and many thinkingoving due to the awful food Reservations are required and you have sit where they put you. You can't choose who you eat with. It's not a good experience. Example Lasagna with macaroni salad yuk! Not on any diet plan we know of Special events and rooms are great. Too bad can't eat

The workers only come to get a check.

I would let others know that independent living and assisted living are all together. And if you're in independent living there is absolutely no interaction. Another area they could improve on would be the activities, I think they need to provide more of them for the residents. I would not recommend Camellia at Deerwood, I am wanting to move my loved one soon.

No program or fitness director-Broken exercise machines in fitness room for last six weeks-No cleaners, ATM, salon for nails/massages any longer; Exec Director hides in his office all day.

Management is new and not very productive. The head nurse was excellent, but she was discouraged with management and left. Due to a lack of staff, my mom fell several times and her last day there she was on the floor of the bathroom with a bump on her head at 9:00 am. No one checked on her that morning or fed her breakfast. I do not recommend this facility. It would be better if they had a larger staff. The residents were always falling due to a lack of supervision.

Our family had an in person tour with The Ranch Estates community and the place seemed cold, and the person touring us was new, did not know a lot. It was dark, depressing and smelled of disinfectant.

I would strongly recommend to not place your loved one here for respite care. My experience consisted of my mom being scared, not receiving the services I was told, and she came home very dirty because she wasn't being cleaned properly. Communication between The Highlands and myself was very poor during that time; that was the worst out of everything. I was away on a trip and got very little direct communication, even though I had urgent emails from my mom. In the emails my mom was asking for help, she was very disoriented and afraid. I couldn't reach them to get the situation mitigated. I was also very confused about who was in charge and on what day. I know that Covid was going around and my mom was isolated in her room. I was introduced to a group of staff initially, but different names were being tossed around in different emails. There seemed to be a lot of turnover, and eventually I didn't know who was who or what they were in charge of. I didn't have a direct point of contact for who was in charge or what was going on. The weekdays were vastly different than the weekends. The weekend staff were substantially worse and added to the overall confusion.

Don't go! The food is all prepackaged food. They do not cook it on site, except for breakfast. They are short staffed. The activities have gone down hill. Any communication I get, no one answers the phone when I call back. My loved one was in the hospital and somehow they didn't get her paperwork when she returned. I assumed that was required for her to return to the facility.

I wasn’t too impressed with Sedgwick Plaza. I think they were going through some renovations to improve things. But when I checked with others, there wasn’t a whole lot of positive feedback from those who had previously inquired about them or lived there.

We were not a fan of The Atrium. The facility looked like a old hotel that they had converted. It was dirty and dated and they only had 1 elevator that was at the very end of the hall so it was a long walk to get to it.

I wouldn't recommend Prestige Assisted Living. There is a lack of follow through, and they don't do what they say they will do. I don't feel they deliver on what they said they would. My loved ones were here for a short amount of time.
