Camellia at Deerwood was great at first but then changed administration & bought out so things have gone downhill since February. The friendliness of the staff is a 4, but currently a 3 due to admin changes and many staff changes. The meals is currently a 2 rating due to changes of hands. They need more transportation options however for appointments, etc. Prices have increased since last November & with new admin...inflation?? A nice community with room for improvement...think they need to work out the kinks from New Administration and Company buy out.

There has been frequent change of personnel. Management is not responsive to suggestions, complaints. If we could find something better at same price or less, we would make a change.

It's hard to say, My dad went in a few weeks before Ian hit and they got hit pretty hard, then they also had employee retention issues which was contrary to what we were told. His level of. care required pain meds as needed for chest pain and often he waited hours despite us having meetings with them. He fell at least twice and busted his head...the ambulance took him to the ER and but no one came to check. or give him a ride back and didn't call me...He was there waiting for 4 hrs. before I found out. Again another meeting about what they sold vs actuality. So probably wouldn't recommend.

Windward Palms the food wasn't that good. We moved to the Landings at Gentry Park in Orlando to be close to be close to our son 5 minutes away. The facility is only 1 year old. It's beautiful, The food is very good. We have probably the nicest apt we ever had. 12 ft high ceilings a big beautiful full kitchen a full size washer and dryer in the apt. The place is not cheap fortunately I could afford it Look up this place on the internet . You get in this case what you pay for The Windwood wasn't exactly cheap. The food wasn't that good.(the overall experience was good as the people and the staff were friendly and the staff was pretty good. They seem to have difficulty keeping dining room staff. They serve too much fried foods. I asked the chef if we could yogurt at breakfast he said no. Too much pasta. The place is clean. The facility should have 2 elevators Maintenance staff is very good. Overall it's fair. Nothing is outstanding. Activities are not well attended

If a freind asked me I would tell them NOT to take their loved one there. It's poorly organized, and staff plays on their cell phones while the residents are left alone (I have pictures) There are many things that need to be fixed there but they just don't seem to care.

My friend is a pescatarian and found the food choices lacking. He has progressed to independent living and moved to Fellowship Square. Overall nice community. Food service lacking but safe secure facility. Small size is a good thing. My friend progressed and needed more independence, but we would recommend Inspirations of River Centre to other families.

My biggest complaint is, they have lost everything and misplaced my mom's belongings. Nearly all of her clothes have disappeared, and she wears other peoples clothes. The first week the comforter that I had brought her disappeared and has never been back nobody knows where it went for three months her walker disappeared. They found it in another woman's room. She doesn't wear any of her own bras.

My loved one is a resident at The Shores at Clearlake and overall the experience has been good. The cleanliness and the activities are both great. The friendliness and the value for cost are good. Based on our experience, I would recommend The Shores at Clearlake to others.

You definitely have to be an advocate for your loved one and keep on top of things, especially in the memory unit. The better the relationship you make with people there the better the treatment. It is best to be there as often as you can.

I would have to say it is not what I expected. I thought it would be active seniors. Instead it ranges from independent living to hospice. The majority needing some degree of assistance.

Lived here over 2 yrs. Too much turnover. Marginal meals. Inadequate security and maintenance for a large property. Great housekeeping and some staff that really cares. Routine maintenance not available. Safety issues for residents in walkers or wheelchairs. Residents wander away from grounds. Best placement not considered. Often selected by children of residents because it "looks nice". New director working hard, change is slow.

My Mom has been living at Portside since November, 2022. We've seen constant turnover across key management positions, poor food service quality, and two price increases. It's a beautiful building, but maybe their wage schedule isn't right for the area.

They have frequent staff turnover. They had trouble following protocols that were in place for my dad's care. Management was not easily accessible. Based off of our experience, I would not recommend Rivertown Ridge to others.

Brookdale was great until they hit us with the significant rate increase.We didn't really use their in-house services because my brother gets almost all his medical and in-home care through the VA. The staff were all very accommodating and helpful, especially one of the ladies who drove their community truck - can't remember her name - and the dining wait staff and cooks were all very nice. If not for the massive rate increase, he'd probably still be there.

Look beyond the initial meeting. Talk to the nursing staff, not just the office staff. They need more activities for the more active residents. More food options. The turnover rate in nursing staff is such that you almost never see the same aides twice. Some of the aides do not assist very well, and do not check on residents as often as they should.

I think it is a tough demographic to work with, dementia patients. That being said, I feel like the sales team made promises that the staff couldn't support. The place always seemed under staffed. The staff seemed unengaged and the facility was not very clean. My moms bathroom was always dirty, especially the toilet bowl. I don't have any thing to compare it to, but the trend is do more with less and I see that at this facility. I work in healthcare, I get it, but overall I wasn't impressed with this facility. As far as if I would recommend it? I don't know. My mom was not safe at home and it wasn't a good situation. She couldn't no longer live there. Aging with dementia is a terrible way to live out your life....

They are not very informative. There is also a very high level of staff turnover. Sadly they are one of the better options in this area

I would tell others looking into Portside at Grande Dunes to ask questions and speak to directors about "level of care". Based off of our experience, I would recommend the facility to others.

They fell short on the meals. My mom has an Ostomy bag and food allergies and her meals were always an issue. We were told that [name removed] the chef would work with her but that never happened. Do to staff turn over her meal request we're never logged or taken correctly. The only person that was of help to her was [name removed] when she worked. It would be a nice place for a senior not requiring special meals and a time schedule when it comes to eating.
