I think that overall, it's a good facility. The staff is average. The facility itself is very nice. The food is good. The games and activities are good. My patient is not very easy to deal with, so I don't want to criticize too much. We have now placed him with hospice. However, I would still recommend it.

Overall experience was good not great!! Food service was very good and servers were very pleasant to work with. Only complaint about food was NOT Enough variety.

My loved one is currently a resident at Augustine Landing. The housekeeping is very light. I had to remind them that my mom moved in and now they are coming, but they don't dust or vacuum, just damp mop and clean the bathroom. Communication with the family is not great. We had many questions and it was hard to get answers. They gave her a bill that we didn't agree with and I called and emailed and then her account was auto-drafted. I "think" things should be fixed next month, but I'm waiting to see. The meals seem good, but staffing has been an issue. They had to do "buffets" a few times when she first moved in, which is difficult for people with walkers. The socialization is very good for my mom. They have lots of activities, but my mom mainly just does the meals. Having only one elevator in entire building is a problem. It broke last week and they were stuck downstairs for hours. The residents told my mom that it has happened several times, so now she wants to move to first floor. The price is very good, and I'm hoping that the staffing of both the accounting department and the food service will improve. Overall, I would recommend Augustine Landing if you have good advocate that can be sure that things are done.

Air conditioning went out 3 times. One of 3 elevators for whole complex has never been working. Common areas could be vacuumed more regularly. Meals need improving. Many times what is listed to be served is not what is plated. Many dishes are very spicy without stating as such. I have stopped eating all the meals in the restaurant. Service is slow and one rarely receives replenishment of beverages. My iced tea glass was served with lipstick on the glass (not mine). The pool was contaminated and closed for several weeks.

Too much turnover, caregivers, nurses, etc. Feels secure.

They are not able to provide a low sodium menu. This was detrimental to my father and discussed prior to admitting. A lot of the staff say, not my job. It took over 6 weeks for mom and dad to learn who to call for different needs. The activities are basic and they did not do a lot to get my parents engaged. They would attempt and schedule to take them, but not show up, or do something once. It seemed they would rather spend time with the residents who are more engaging, if you're not engaged then you slip through the cracks. Both of my parents walked with a walker when they moved there in July. Now, both have been in and out of the hospital and neither of them can walk at this point. My mom is in a wheel chair from a fall and my dad is in rehab from a fall. We are working on bringing them back home.

Inspirations bought out the previous company and have had a problem keeping staff. With those staffing down, services are way behind. For example my mother in law's room wasn't cleaned for 3 weeks but cost for services were not reduced. They shouldn't be charged for services they haven't received. My mother in law likes living there so she will stay.

When it comes to the activities, there could be more of a variety, seems the same activities every week. It is very expensive, should have an option to opt out of the dining to save money. My mom eats and cooks in her apt, the dining room is a bit disorganized and the food is hit or miss. I would hope this helps them make improvements. This is just our experience, my mom says other voice similar concerns but many people are very happy there.

The care staff at The Ranch Estates of Tucson are extremely friendly and kind. This is the first and only facility that we toured. It was so clean and nicely appointed that my mom didn't want to see any other facilities. We did have some issues with the move in process, in getting the doctor to submit what the facility needed to dispense my mom's medication. They weren't clear with what they needed, so my mom went about two weeks without some medications. The food is pretty good. My mom likes it and is comfortable in the dining room. It's hard to comment on the activities because my mom has advanced dementia, so she doesn't participate much. I would recommend this facility to others.

Reply to food service comment. Everyone there is dissatisfied with the menu. No gluten free. Not heart healthy. Being forced to sit where they seat you and not your choice of who you can since with. People are afraid to speak up because of the way the chef has treated them if they do. Food was heart healthy better choices before the chef came. He don't like liver and onions so he won't serve it. Everything is from Gordon foods. Not buying farm to table or supporting local. Veggies are a rare treat at meals. When asked where the vegetablea were was told it's in a sauce your eating. Poor

The Ranch estates was a small facility and they didn't seem to need a resident and said they had no bottom floor apartments when I was looking. They seemed indifferent and the tour was a non-event. They never even followed up with me after.

The meals are terrible. The staff doesn't let the residents order from off of the menu a lot of the time. If you are in a wheelchair, get on the first floor. Be aware that the staff enters the rooms without knocking, they just let themselves in. There are very little activities. As for the planned outings, you may not be able to go if you're in a wheelchair.

What they could do better with is having longer breakfast and longer dining hours. The to go option is just to expensive

We picked thisi community, because of the location, friendly atmosphere, activities, and meals. It's been a mostly pleasant experience so far. It's a very friendly and nice fun environment. I would probably recommend to others.

Acacia Springs was out of my planned budget range based on my monthly retirement income. This was a newer community and may be a bit better activities from the flyers presented to me. Did not try out their menus nor experience the security of the neighborhood.

It has a very friendly environment. We picked this community, because It's close to my house. Nothing could be improved.

Palm Bay Memory Care was not as home-like another community I toured. Much more hospital like. Long, long hallways. Didn't see much staff when I was there.

The positives - the facility, my apartment and the amenities that are offered at a 10. I do not want to move! The geographical location is ideal as well. Improvements - however, the Arbors has administrative issues which the residents and myself are very much dissatisfied with. There is inadequate security, and the dining room staff are experiencing shortages.
